Do you have Xbox Game Pass? Because it will give you the cape even though you only bought Java Edition, but since Bedrock is on Gamepass. It gives you the cape.

Well, once Minecraft is better at telling me which products I own while I'm logged in, they can start handing out fancy schmancy capes. Because right now I gotta use a file explorer shortcut to circumvent glitchy login screens on Minecraft Dungeons. Luckily Minecraft works just fine.

Did you migrate your Java account to a Microsoft account? You need to do that and make sure its the same Microsoft account as the one you're using for your bedrock account. I think you'll still have a chance to get the cape.

They reward players like this, but I, a legacy player who still uses a legacy skin (Pre 1.8 skin) simply got my account banned because legacy accounts are too old. Some people don't even know what legacy accounts are. We all just got forgotten🙄
