- Sam Fisher returns for a third Splinter Cell game. Terrorists have turned to cyber warfare as their weapon of choice and Fisher must uncover the source before World War Three begins. Use a new assortment of gadgets, slit enemies throats with knives and choose your loadout to complete missions how you want, Go online in a fantastic series of co-operative levels with their own stories or participate in the amazing Spies Vs. Mercs competitive multiplayer mode.
SC:CT is not only one of the best games in the series/genre, it is THE BEST Splinter Cell game EVER made! Period.
True, loved blacklist and the others but this was the perfect blend.
Chaos theory is my favorite game of all time. I'm kind of sad that my favorite game is from Ubisoft, but it was back when Ubisoft wasn't known for bad PC ports, it was known for good games.
ComYxCon4Gaming but in the ps3 trilogy is the online multiplayer turned on spy vs mercs was so fun having an option to play that today would be so cool!
The definitive Splinter Cell experience.
What a game, man. Still playing it once or twice a year, even after 13 years. Monumental.
that ninja part at the ending had me in stitches XD
Hahahah indeed
7:45 lol 'Be more careful Fisher, this mission couldn't be anymore sensitive'
*throws frag grenade*
'God dammit Fisher!
Im pretty sure you know this, but i still want to point this out. The music for this game was actually done by Amon Tobin, one of the leading artists of the electronic label Ninja Tune and wizards of projects such as solid steel. In the contemporary jazz field, he is a huge name, an a-lister. The fact he made this soundtrack adds to the overall excellence of this game, making it a proof that every once a while, stuff just comes together in the universe and perfection is created.
I remember this:
Fisher: Let me guess - 3 alarms and the mission is over?
Lambert: What? No, it's not a video game!
Lovely review! Also in case you didn't know Amon Tobin was the fella who did the soundtrack, he also did some stuff for the infamous ost and does alot of stuff outside of game soundtracks, there's also an album with this game's ost remixed by various artist's though I can't comment on it since I haven't heard it yet :P
Outstanding review of the best Splinter Cell game to date. It was so frustrating when the HD version was released with the invert aim option missing!!! rendering the game completely unplayable for me. Thankfully this was patched a few months down the track.
Also at 08:58, you should have pointed out Dark Messiah and Beyond Good and Evil, my good how I love those games. XD
I love the Ninja guy! "Wow killed by a Ninja! Cool"
He even makes a reference to the oil rig level from SC 1.
Nice Video.
Damn man, another great review, love the way you stylize your videos.
The music played in the last two minutes sounds like that in Excalibur 2555 A.D.
Bit out of topic but Splinter Cell Blacklist seems to have more of the elements the first few splinter cell games had, and by that I mean being the ghost in the game.
Yahooo your back, i did not see reviews from you for a long time
Great review mate :) I'm glad I subbed to your channel. P.S. Will you be reviewing hitman absolution when it comes out?
Soundtrack was made by Amon Tobin. How you could pass that by ?
Takes me back all the way to 2005, agree with a lot of people this was my absolute fav splinter cell.... Have to love a stealth game this amazing, brilliant vid
Good review.
I plan on getting the HD collection soon.
would it be possible to see a review of that one if you do. i would love to see someone do a good in depth look at it considering how little coverage it has gotten despite being the true successor to chaos theory
Holy shit.. I was just watching videos of this early...
Another fantastic review man! BTW What is the song in the beginning?
They splitted one game into 3 different projects, it's just the marketing team fooled everyone to think that AC2 is the actual full AC2.
I have been waiting 7 years for this review
this game got me hooked on stealth games
Damn, this is my favorite game and you're channel has some awesome stuff.. Subscribed and it kinda shocks that you have so tiny number of views compared to the quality of content.
El Cargo from the Chaos Theory soundtrack. I can't link it here but it should be easy to find.
You should review Thief and Invisible War next :)
You said the AI is a little dumb. Could you elaborate. And more importantly did you play the game on Expert?
When do shadows look unconvincing ?
Well actually there have been some very positive reactions toward Double Agent on PS2 / Xbox 1 because it's a completely different game to the Xbox 360 and PC version. I'm keen to check it out as it's the last Splinter Cell game I have to complete.
Sure but remember you DON'T get the multiplayer any of the games.
It's pretty good for the price if you just want the 3 campaigns.
"Listen im gonna kill you if you don...."
"WOW! Killed by a ninja......, cool..."
SC1 > CT > DA > Conviction > PT, nice review btw (:
Problem is I'm worried about the implications. I know there are bad games out there. The new ones people will automatically agree suck but if it's an older one there will be cult followings and people out for my blood.
What if I reviewed a game people think are bad but I like? (Invisible War)
too bad we'll never get our sequel to Chaos Theory
I still have to say that Double Agent is still my fav Splinter Cell. Chaos Theory was great and all but I felt it kept too many key mechanics from the first Splinter Cell that just didnt held up.
What are your thoughts on Splinter Cell DA? Im surprised you didnt give it a mention or something...
Which version of Double Agent?
Im getting into blacklist, not even touched the story mode as im hooked on those side missions/waves... Would love another sc close to chaos theory one day tho!
Will you be reviewing pandora tomorrow, conviction, double agent and black list (when it comes out)?
yeah dude you can still played online coop and versus there are a few peapole still left. playing (including me) and its fun to play :D
Hmm I recently got the ps3 HD collection. I didn't really care about the multiplayer missing but I didn't know that there was co-op as well. That's something I would've liked to try. This game is also on Steam so I was wondering if there are people still playing online?
Veselin Krastev no there arn't but it is worth buying on steam still, its one of the greatest stealth games ever made, probably the best "secret agent" game made period and it looks amazing still on pc
Well, that's hardly surprising. I played through the first 2 games recently and I enjoyed them. I'll be playing the 3rd one soon. I've got high expectations for it. The ps3 trilogy runs and looks pretty well - totally worth the modest price I paid for it.
I find it unessary to cut off the
coop, I thought it came with the game. Online, I can understand that it can be painstaking to keep the servers online.
Vannara Meas Ignore my previous comment. I don't know what I was talking about there. The games look well enough but they don't run well at all. Just get them on pc for dirt cheap. The multiplayer is also not there although these games are really old. I'm not sure that even on pc people are still playing. Blacklist is newer and has a similar multiplayer mode. Maybe try that.
Veselin Krastev Played blacklist, same problem too, not enough players. I think they should create ai bots. When you can't play the online mode, it just seems like a waste to me that the developers put alot of work into creating the maps.
Hey dude! I love your Splinter Cell reviews are you planning on reviewing the whole series so far leading up to the new one coming out soonish? I would love to see your reviews of Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow, Double Agent and Conviction. Conviction I think is by far the worst in the series the AI is dreadful and way to much action in a stealth game. Keep them coming dude!
Sweet, Thanks!
I'm all for that but wouldnt it be easier to just play it on pc?
But we should definately do that if only for like an organised 1 weekend thing and then see where it goes.
Um, which AC2 did you meant? The first one that tried to impersonate a full game and not just a first episode?
yeah same ive been playing it on the old xbox for years having to play system link with my brother, but as im getting a good PC soon i really want to play online!
NINJAS ofcourse somebody just had to mention them in this game
I still play the original Chaos Theory on PC, I still thinks it holds up in its genre with the best out there.... DO PEOPLE STILL PLAY ONLINE? I have never played the multiplayer!! I want to!
If Pandora Tomorrow is the 2nd part which one is the first?
dat guy at the end doe
It's not all that. It is basically SCCT with all the bad things from Double agent.
Do you recemend I get the HD collection?
DOWNLOAD XBOX CONNECT PEOPLE, UA-cam IT, IT WORKS WE CAN REVIVE SPLINTER CELL CHAOS THEORY, CMON PUT EFFORT INTO IT
they are 2 assasins creed 2?
No, there are 3 Assassin's Creed 2s. II, Brotherhood and Revelations. Duh! :P
well conviction is not much of a stealth game, but it was still good, and fun to play, and with blacklist coming, they are bringing back the stealth, they said you could complete the game without killing anyone, witch i like, and im glad they're bringing it back.
I'd say that Blacklist is the best game since CT. You can go stealth mode alá CT through the whole game :)
this guy is talking about how Conviction barely qualifies as stealth yet in some clips he's throwing frag grenades. This guy is playing as panther as you can in this game.
How to sneak so qeiet and slow on pc please answer :-)
The mouse wheel controls your speed.
I'd like to point out that your intro was 54 seconds. That is too long. This whole video is too long, good content just too long
Blacklist actually lets you play it as stealthy as this game, and I truly believe that it does stealth a little bit more fluid than even this game. Conviction sucked, though.
chataclysm2112 My only complaint with Blacklist is darkness is hardly a factor. I always felt like a badass in Chaos Theory, popping out of shadows and slashing throats. In Blacklist, it's just moving from cover to cover and that's just generic to me.
tylerboy565 You do realize it makes it harder you know.
+Mohamed Nabeel Hard or no, darkness was always what set Splinter Cell apart from most stealth games like...Metal Gear Solid for example. Without the darkness factor, Splinter Cell would be nothing but a shitty Metal Gear Solid clone (Not that i hate Metal Gear Solid, in fact Metal Gear Solid is my favorite gaming series), something it wasn't from Splinter Cell 1 to Splinter Cell Chaos Theory.
Xxandrew01 My man, this comment is from a year ago,i'm currently waiting an important replay from someone.i got a notification and was hoping it was him then i ended up disappointed and little mad.
That being that,i really don't know why the hell i said that,i know splinter cell games very well,i know the darkness is an important factor for splinter cell games (even lots of levels don't have darkness as far as i remember)
How to sneak so qeiet and slow on pc please answer :-)
You control your movement speed with your mouse wheel.
