That’s all the grease I put on as well . They ll make noise if the diff case isn’t pit back right . I didn’t even know the first time since it all went back so easy but I had the diff holder reversed and it still worked but there was noise .
They have the 4s driveshafts for $15 for two atm . They’re pretty good . I was going to use them on the granite but really the stock ones are holding good so far even with a 4s combo from an outcast . Now an outcast with a Kraton 6s combo is a real beast on 6s as is the granite on 4s . Now that I’ve done these upgrades I’d do it different next time
Yeah man . I m about to throw in the composite spur gear back in and see how much more quiet the RC becomes . It seemed fine the whole year but when I got the steel diffs I replaced the spur gear with steel as well but I really don’t think it was needed and I also think besides needed a steel diff in the rear , the front is fine as a composite gear imho . I never had the front diff blow out , just the rear gear and input pinion
The aluminum servo saver from Ali express is a good upgrade or even just the aluminum link after the servo saver wears out and the steering becomes sloppy . Just replacing the plastic pivot balls will cure it for a while but that aluminum link is choice . Good ol ali express has most of these uogrades cheap . That is where all the eBay people get their stuff
These granite can be upgraded for huge sends with the Mojave fronts for the front and Kraton front shocks for the rear . I’ve left the plastic drive shaft and wheel drive shafts with no issues
Hey, thanks for your comments. I personally didn't have good results with the stock plastic driveshafts on 4s. They were fine on 3s for ages, ...but 4s they didn't last long at all. The Arrma 4s range CVDs are different, and will require more parts to make them work i believe. Much longer, and different hubs. Arrma did make 3s upgrade CVDs too. Z-AR310870 They are a direct fit. (Just a bit pricey) I have those In my big rock. I'm happy with these aliexpress CVDs to be honest, and they are a straight swap. The front composite diff lasted me ages, but eventually the teeth got damaged. I might upgrade shocks if i start doing bigger jumps or if something breaks haha 😂 Anyway, happy bashing, have fun out there! 👍
