Thank you so much for this video, it made fitting these so much easier than following the printed instructions. just did a lap of the block and it is a phenomenal difference, I can quick shift from 1st gear now smoothly, impossible with the original lever. thanks again
@@matthewberka1842 Thank you Matthew you are very welcome and thank you for your kind comment 🙏 so glad it fixed your issues hope you enjoy the channel 👍🏻
These levers are amazing they totally transform the quickshifter and rear brake feel, I would not have believed it myself until I tried them just how much better the shifter now is 😊 Dotty is our baby ❤
Great video, very informative. I've bought an Option 719 GS (for the color, really, rather than the 719 hardware), but if I had bought a Triple Black, I'd certainly be making this mod.
Thank you for your kind words and the comment, to my knowledge the enduro pro gear lever is made of aluminium so in theory it should not suffer the same issues with flexing however this could be like the 1250 alloy lever that has a bush instead of roller bearings that also suffers with the detached feel, I would say if enduro pro uses bearings it would be fine 😊
I didn't realise it was a plastic gear lever on the stanard 1300 gs, that's a bit naff considering how much these bike are. Glad you got it sorted mate
@@inspectorclouseau3880 Yes I agree, it’s not like regular Fisher Price Toy plastic its like a fibre filled material no doubt very strong ! I have to say I was surprised 😮 when I realised 😮
Thanks for the kind comment the elliptical offset is trapped between the brake master cylinder fork and retaining pin, there’s no way it can move without removing the pin hope this helps 👍🏻
I've just fitted the SW Motech one for the same reason, I've done 8500miles on my 1300 and compared to both my 1250's the shifting is awful, really awful so hopefully this will improve it!
Thanks for the great explanation. Do you happen to know if the Gilles set also fits well on a Trophy with the enduro footpegs? I believe the enduro brake pedal is positioned a bit higher than the standard brake footlever (that is with the footpegs in the standard position, using the top mounting hole , and the brake pedal at the standard height (without the off-road footrest folded).
Absolutely fantastic install videos, very very through. But I really enjoy watching them in x2 speed. A little bit more progressive ambient sound track. 😊
@@adalbertocanadas5913 Hi Buddy the footpegs are BMW HP accessory they were fitted to my R1250 GS they were the only part that swapped over but you need to use the 1250 return springs hope this helps 👍🏻 Thanks for your comment ❤️
Thank you for the great video. I bought a set, but as I'm in the US, I had to hunt around for them a bit. Also can you tell me were you got your foot pegs, they look great, but when I search on "HP" foot pegs for BMW R1300 GS, I get nothing...
@@Lomv51 Yes tye HP foot-pegs came off my 1250 GS they are the only thing that fits I had a full HP set foot levers, handlebar levers and master cylinder tops but sadly had to sell everything but the footpegs they are really nice and height adjustable they are still available for the 1250 however to fit them on a 1300 you have to use 1250 return springs 👍🏻
Hello, I've noticed on your video that you have the 719 footpegs and they look like they are the 1250 ones. do they fit ok and still allow height adjustment? thanks Jay
Hi Jay Yes they are from my 1250 they are the only HP 719 part that was transferable to the 1300 they fit and function perfectly on the 1300 the only thing you have to do is fit them with the 1250 return springs as the 1300 return spring is different maybe I will do a video on this subject 😊

You are not the first to speak about the plastic lever.. but it's so weird. I have also this bike, and don't know what you are talking about. The lever is not plastic, is metal. Just touching it, and you can feel it. If you want to be sure, just scratch it, you will see the shiny metal.
@@nunosantos8784 if you have enduro pack then you have a alloy lever with pivot adjustment if not it is the plastic lever there are plenty of references on online forums that show the lever broken and it is definitely plastic my friend 👍🏻
@@NJWMOTO Great video -- thank you, sir! Quick question: You referenced the Option 719 version being adequate strength-wise; do you feel that the Enduro Pro OE version is equally strong or would you recommend the Gilles if you already have the Enduro version?

The quality of this product seems amazing, better than BMW parts. I don't understand why BMW doesn't use these parts...
