- This is a super exciting video and was super exciting to make. We've been waiting impatiently for #jekillandhyde to finally release their new Nomad S exhaust for the BMW #R1300GS . Luckily for me they sent one to me for testing so i thought I'd try and make this as unbiased as possible and put it up against the stunning looking #AKRAPOVIC after market exhaust. Hope you enjoy the video.

Does the J&H do anything for performance as well as sound? Dyno result next?

A quick question.
I installed the chigee (with cameras ) on my Husqvarna 701.
I liked it, but the cameras were utter shite … and I found in remote areas (Portugal and Morocco ) the Apple phone GPS was NOT as reliable as a Garmin GPS radio .
I swapped it for a Zumo .
So , bear with me ..
I like the new chigee mount .. for the R1300GS.
What is the advantage of a chigee, on the GS compared to the NAV6 that normally sits in that position?
I can see only disadvantages… that the phone needs to be present and connected.
Im not sure i like any of those really. But then the stock one on my 1250 is fine. I know the boxer will never sound as nice as my Guzzi so happy for it to be as quiet as i can get it..
🤔 do I choose it to sound like a tractor or combine harvester 😂
Hmm, I hear you but it ride so well. The sound is better than what the mic is picking up
Hi Steve, do you know if there is a possibility to remove the top vario case carriers and keep the side carriers? I’ve seen a video from motopapa that he removed the top carrier. Very nice, but want to keep the side vario carriers. Thanks for your response!
Fantastic video, fellas. Thanks for taking the time and comparing all of these. I also agree, the stock double-barrel Akra (which came with my bike) sounds probably the worst of them all. The OEM stock one sounds better than it with the eliminator on. Double agree that the J&H sounds the best, but overall the aftermarket Akra takes the win with the best looks/sound combo. Cheers!
Glad I went with the J&H and have it on order since it came out. Looking forward to my install on my Triple Black!

Is it just me or is it normal for me to only hear the click clack if the engine? With that context all the exhausts sound the same to me
I agree, the engine is so very loud (not a nice sound) .. it’s madness to spend t an exhaust to improve things ! ❤
(I have the BMW OEM Akra on mine) I like it.
This engine is making an horrible sound over the exhaust sound... that is just average. My old Hypermotard 1100 sounded much better than that.
I’m buying in last year, blind, having to wait until may 24. This is my first GS, normally I’m riding only Triumphs, including Tiger. But the new Tiger is nothing for me, that’s why I preordered the GS. This was my worst investment when I ever done. The noise from the valve train, especially on the left side, is just a disgrace. If I had heard that sooner, I would never have. The same with the BMAKRA. What a waste of money. Regardless, the GS feels like it is made of 80% plastic. Horrible. But, yes it’s drives likely, light-footed and fast. But that’s all.

Pleasantly suprrised. Just with the Servo eliminator justifies enough to make it sound alive. Hope this would be true for my r1200gsa 2015
Does the es eliminator come with the switch you have on this bike or the toggle switch picture in the listing on the website?
I like OEM with no eliminator and J&H the most.😺
It would be very interesting to know if there is a loss on the torque with the open valve.

Did you do a vid on the graphics?, wanted to do someything to my GS's for years but couldnt really find anything, now i've just bought a TB ADV id like to make it look a little different...

Why not talk about how the chigee and denali smart can bus controls interfere with each other
Denali saying oh we had our product out first chigee just avoiding the issue

Does any of that have factory DB killer? Even if not easily removable as the previous akras. I heard the double akra has one. It would be good to know for the full picture, as i am still not a fan of the stock 1300gs sound.
We can’t see a way of removing dbs on these. Another video to come showing non road legal set ups

Hey Steve, where did you get the exhaust hanger to delete the footpeg?
It came with the bike. I think it’s a trophy thing. Bmw dealer will be able to source them

Double barrel OEM Akrap is bad in all positions. It needs 2.0 version. Nice design but sound failure
It’s not all that bad with the es eliminator.

45 minutes of your business being advertised .. could of been about 10 minutes long.Just spent 5 minutes fast forwarding. I cant sub to adverts. Akro sounds pants. J&H pipes are definitely the best just shame about the £1700 price tag
Doesn't matter what exhaust you put on it, its gonna sound shit. Most boring bike I have ever ridden. Only so much you can polish a turd.
