The man is a national walking encyclopaedia, I always enjoy listening to him. This man should write some books, and also if he can be executive tour guide/historian in Ibadan.
This man has to come again and again ooooo. History full ground! and I like the fact the he was an eyewitness to majority of those events. Thanks Bro Dele for this good work.
This Uncle is very brilliant in political history. He should be teaching this in our institutions or even to political parties. Agbaletu you are doing very well. Very nice interview...I could not go and bath until I listened fully...even I became angry as calls interjected 😂
Agbaletu! You are absolutely right. Bisi Akande lost the state not because of Bola Ige issues but because he sacked many civil servants who were breadwinners of their families. Women & Youths vote!
Haa! This man is very intelligent. God bless you Sir. Both this man and the moderator are wonderful. I am happy to be a Yoruba man despite my Kogi. Please bri g him back again
@Deji Adeyanju- Please let’s have part 2 of this man ooo. This man is so sharp and can remember events with dates. How i wish this man can document this in Books…God bless this man.
Hope the present youths are learning. Politics, party structure, and leadership skills are the ingredients of a democratic society where meaningful life can be set for masses. Baba Awo is a good mentor to Uncle Bola &Co. And we see where they move West to interms of developments. We need radical change of life setting. Good memories from the guest, and thank you, sir.
It is amazing, how much this relatively young man Comrade Dan knew and knows about politics and political events of the past. Everything he said is 100% spot-on and without question. I can attest to these because Late Chief SM Afolabi was one of our own and a mentee of my very own late father's. It is also startling that Comrade DAM has so much mannerism resemblance to our very own former president M Buhari. He could readily have passed as Buhari's brother or his biological son! Only his Ibadan accent and pronunciation of words in typical Ibadan manner would have out him as a fake Buhari. Well done @ Agbaletu. Keep up the good work. We need to hear more from DAM regarding what he knows about the circumstances of Chief Awolowo's death, the political demise of Action Governor LK Jakande, who killed Uncle Bola Ige etc.
This man will be good if Nigeria can vote for him as a president or governor of Nigeria, it's very good brainer touching he knows everything about government in politicians
@@deleadeyanju Major General BISALA, WAS WRONGLY MURDERED, Because HE'S FROM MIDDLE BELT REGION OF THE COUNTRY Not, A FULANI, LIKE THESE OMO ERANS....
Mr. Adeyanju, e ku ise o. This is very informative about the Yoruba race and politics. It is interesting to hear how our best minds and brains from the west were all betrayed by their kinds because of money. This is on record for the future generations.
I didn't want this interview to end. The most informative and inspirational show since I have been watching this channel. You should retain him as a consultant and an adviser to the show.
So interesting, you have refreshed my memory to the saying of Bola Ige " five fingers of a leprous hands" which he used to qualified the five political parties that were formed which altogether declared Sanni Abacha as their leader. Abacha later bullied those chop and chop five political parties.
This is a great enlightenment into the politicking of the yorubas in the 70s to 90s... Please let's see part 2 of this. This will be a great resource for students and undergrads of Pol Sci in Nigerian Universities
You’re stepping into higher level of journalism and I foresee you being categorized uniquely in the future.. You’re broadening the horizon of your scope.. Am glued to my phone listening to this intelligent historian and I am glad I subscribed to your channel.
Thank you Mr Dele Adeyanju for your efforts in journalism.. we're enjoying your work than other's in this job.. Pls, make sure you bring back Dada Adebayo Mohammed and we also need his contact number.. thanks
I am your fervant fan and for sure, I am entitled to my expression. I enjoy your quality, non-advert and free flow interviews. You were HARSH in your response. I still remain your fervant UA-cam fan and best wishes. Please give fresh interview to King Sunny Ade soonest. We want him. Thanks.
Students of political science and social engineering should contact this "consultant". He has an unbelievable knowledge of nigeria's contemporary history, laced with incontrovertible facts!!!
Agbaletu, please can you put the commercial slot during your interview on the back-burner? We sincerely enjoy your interview without interruption. God has elevated you on top of your peers. Keep the momentum going my friend. You are ahead of your competitors. Keep it up!
Some Points of correction: Thanks, comrade, for your insightful, indepth/thorough & insightful analysis of Afenifere Politics and political events in Yorubaland.I really learned a lot from u. However, there are some minor/factual unintended errors that need to be corrected for prosperity. 1. Adewale Thompson hailed from Ilesa not from ESA-Oke- I am from ESA-Oke. 2. Likewise, Senator Mojisoluwa Akinfenwa hailed from Erin-Ijesa, not Iperindo, as mentioned: I knew him very well - my dad was stationed in his town when he was Commissioner for Education under Bola Ige; & his 1st son (Tunji) & I taught together as in Esa-Oke at the time. 3. While I agree with all d identified mistakes made by Bola Ige, I don't quite agree that he was nepotistic- a case of honest misrepresentation on your part, not of malice, I must declare at d outset. 1st, his choice of Bisi Akande to replace S.M. Afolabi was smart politics. He has to choose from d same region of Osun (the latter was from Iree & d former was from Ila-Orangun - next neighbors. And it was prudent to appoint a loyal/known person, just as it was important to have trusted person as Chief of Staff (who was then well positioned for d new task of Deputy Governor. D greatest evidence against this honest misrepresentation is a well know fact in Esa-Oke. Bola Ige was well known to push back when Esa-Oke people (friends & relatives) approached him for even non-political job opportunities or asked for special favors. His standard rebuttal was always " I am not d Governor of Esa-Oke, but of d entire Oyo State. Go to your Rep. in the House (Shiyanbola of Imesi-Ile was mentioned many times). That's his job & is the way government works". Needless to say, that made him unpopular to many people in Esa-Oke, including his extended family that I know of. Their generation (Awo followers), unlike today's politicians adhered to that principle of Justice, Fairness and representative government.
We stayed in the same hall of residence at the University of Ibadan many years ago. His alias was Councillor. If this guy entered bathroom before you, so pe o ti lo.
Uncle Bola's sad ending shows that no matter how long your spoon is, do not dine with the devil (Psalm 1:1).. However, those who killed him will not end well & will be exposed. Uncle Bola was a victim of his own trusted friend(s).

In fact, he needs to write political history books in his lifetime because he knows he knows it head to toe.
Aptly said.
