Agbaletu, pls advise this man to put all this in a book. You can even do that . Thank you for all you have been doing for us all. As a radio presenter, i always find your interview useful. I always give you credit anytime I get inspired by you efforts.
My brother Honourable Anjola never disappointed in given historical background of sakara in details. I just thank God that SAB was able to think out box in founding fuji music, Sakara fans could have never forgiven him , because I once had where Honourable Anjola accused him of bastardisation of sakara music. Every other genre of music always has their definition for fuji music, K SA once defined fuji music as juju music without guitar, now Honourable defines it as sakara music with fast tempo. Well done as usual Agbaman the interview season is very interesting. To me very funny at the point when you asked “ se won o le fi ijesa, ondo ko sakara ni .
In a way, appreciation of Sakara music could be said to be the beginning of maturity or adulthood in the life of a young man. As usual, this interview is quite educative and informative. My respect to your ingenuity. God bless.
@1:47:24 in the discussion. They said it without really meant to say it “Ti abati ko nkan wo inu Sakara ni iseyin, ama so di Fuji completely ni.” Gbagan! That’s exactly what Sikorsky Ayinde Barrister did and named his brand of music Fuji music. The End.
An excellent analysis of Sakara and our other drums. It's a shame that a sample of each wasn't displayed on show during the interview to really educate our metropolitan youths.
Agbaletu. I am a fan of your program based in the UK. Please tell your camera men to be more professional. Many a time, the camera is focused on you while your guest is speaking. Example is this interview. While Abeeden was answering the question about the brother. We could only hear his voice. Camera was focused on you till the end of the program.
Without adding xtra instruments, Sakara can be enlivened with more tempo. There are instances of fast tempo like in vol 5 where Babalegba praised Ayinde Adenekan. That could be the entree for many before graduating to classics like volume 1 Bolowo Bate.
Understand Sakara music will liberate Yoruba language and keep its authenticity_ and that's beyond the strictly entertaining side of music. The active and dynamic sides will always evolve and modernise for many reasons, particularly for the desirable commercial success but.., that originality, that foundation and root will always remain necessary for the growth of our essence into the future.
Good conversation sirs. But I got confused at a point; pls to audience, what’s the difference between Molo and goje, are they both stringed instrument?
Good interview. However we are in a fast moving and dynamic world. Adding anything is not a debatable issue. It is the music lovers that will determine the future of sakara music and innovations required. Commercial value will determine its future.

Very educative interview. The man understands the history of the genre. He even traced juju back to its original base. Well done 👏👏👏
Great interview. Very educative and informative. Thank you!
Nice one Agbaletu the host and kudos to the two guests for being a real source of information and education.
I learned a lot.

So don’t be surprised when you see me playing juju music as an Hausa boy 😄
This is informative and educative, lovely agba o ni tan lo ri le

What more can I say … Sakara originality to the world 💯

Agbaletu, always thank you for giving us music history.
Beautiful interview
I would have loved to attend, but unfortunately I am out side Nigeria.😊

I have said it a million times, with no disregard nor disrespect to SAB. I dont think fuji is from were. It pure sakara and apala.
You better take it back or else they will curse you..aye koto oo..
But I think locally made drums like gangan can be added to the genre. If foreign instruments can't be added
E seun fun ise yii o, Baale Dele Adeyanju. Asa, ise, ati esin Yoruba ko nii parun o. Iwaju lola erin nlo o, iwaju le o maa lo. A ko nii di oláńrèyìn.
Theory meets practical to give us history !!!!
Good conversation sirs. But I got confused at a point; pls to audience, what’s the difference between Molo and goje, are they both stringed instrument?
Molo is played by hand while Goje is played with a bow.
These are very knowledgeable peoples. They should commit these to book for posterity .
God bless Agbaletu
Saka olayigbade and his sakara group. So his also plays sakara.
Yes he did but was not accepted as sakara hence faaji...or fuji...oops I said it.
Agbaletu, u never mentioned late Teophilos iwaloye or iwalokun, he was a great juju musician in the 60s 70s.
i have been calling for him for ages at last somebody else is asking true genius great voice one of a kind

😊
I love you olatunji
Sakara is just like a hip hop, as for me I can say sakara is a culture music.
Some people say Baba Legba was actually from Iseyin but this lecture didn't throw light on that. Great interview though. Agbaletu you are doing well.
Ejowo Orin baba wo ni hausa yen lu ilu si ni Ghana
