You are the second youtuber I have ever seen educate their audience on how to slow down a video. Thank you for that! It's a special touch. Cute half circle too! Thanks for the video
Thank you so much I needed to make an eye lid for a dragon and couldn’t remember how to do a half circle, I made it with sc it worked great thanks again.
I love this. I am going to learn how to change colors then make lemon, lime, and orange citrus slice dish scrubbiest! What kind of yarn could I use to make a rug? That sounds interesting!
Do you think this would work for rounded bra cups? I want to make a Tinkerbell costume, but none of the sweetheart neckline tutorials I can find look like what I'm looking for
hey thank you for the turorial! i’m having a hard time keeping the bottom a straight line , i’ve been redoing it but it still making a like weird v shape , do maybe know why?
It might just be your tension! If its too tight, try adding one more chain to the turning part and that might help out a bit. If its curving down because its too loose, you just might need to go down a hook size to tighten it up. 💜
Do you think this could this work for a shawl? I’m short and a triangle shawl seems to always be way too long in the back by the time the sides are long enough to comfortably wrap around me in front. I’m thinking a semicircle shawl would be perfect. I assume I would just keep adding one more single double crochet between the two double crochets in a single stitch in each “round”. Thanks!
This actually might make a pretty nice shawl! Wouldn't hurt to test it out. And yes, you would just keep repeating the increases and you should be good to go! Let me know if you try it! 💜 Sam
I actually have a project where the bottom consists of semi circles and I want to crochet a straight edge onto them as I don't like the look. How would I do that?
Thanks for this video, it was exactly what I needed to make my armchair covers! I found that a ch3 worked better in making it even at the bottom. Subscribed.
Every row adds one more in between the increases. The second row, has a "pair" of stitches made in each stitch. For the third row, there will be one "lonely" stitch worked between every "pair". For the 4th row, there will be two "lonely" stitches worked between every pair. For a 5th row, there would be three "lonely" stitches worked between every pair. The half-circle could just keep growing like that... until you run out of yarn!
@@HappilyHookedMagazine wait so basically on the third row you are putting into the stitch one dc, then the next stitch it is another one dc. But then the stitch after that is is two dc, then one dc, one dc, two dc, one dc, one dc…. So on? On the fourth row you would add in three single dc in between each pair of dc, right?
I’m so confused…..my brain doesn’t comprehend the pattern for keeping increasing 😢 you say “keep on going like that” but I don’t understand how you can make it very big at all “going like that”. Is there a written pattern for how to increase rows when you want to make it big for a rug etc?
Yep there's a pattern! When making a circle we usually start with 6 dc. In the next row we inc all the way around (meaning, we do 2 dc in each stitch). In the the next row, we do 1 dc, 1 inc all the way around. Then next row: 2 dc, 1 inc. So it's like: R1: 6 dc R2: 6inc (12 stitchs) R3: 1 dc, 1 inc (18 stitchs) R4: 2 dc, 1 inc (24 stitches) R5: 3 dc, 1 inc (30 stitchs) R6: 4dc, 1 inc (36 stitchs) Did you notice a pattern? And In each round we inc 6 times only, making the stich count increase to 6 stitches, that's why we always end up with a multiple of 6. But when making a semi circle, we don't tightly fasten teh magic ring to create a circle, but we make it quite lose. And at teh end of each row we turn our work and work on the back side. Hope it helps („• ֊ •„)

Thank you so much it did take me like 10 tries but you really helped. For all of you struggling keep trying. Mess up one day try again the next 😁
This was really clear and easy to follow. I liked the pace - I just paused the video when I needed to catch up.
Thank you so much I needed to make an eye lid for a dragon and couldn’t remember how to do a half circle, I made it with sc it worked great thanks again.
Thanks! I haven't done this in a while and I needed a reminder. Definitely going to use this soon.
Super easy to follow tutorial! I'm currently making a moon phase scarf and needed a half moon. Perfect pacing - thank you so much!

So fast! I was lost 😞

For your demonstration you started with 6 stitches in the magic ring. How many stitches would you start with for making a rug? Barbara
Would this work for the top of the sleeve on a Molly Weasly sweater? Adjusting for size of course?
Could you add a V stitch or some other stitch to it to add a little variety in? If so, how would you increase them? Thanks in advance for you help!
Do you have this one in half double crocheted in a rug? Blair 💕💐👍 I love your work !!!!!😀
I'm confused on how to make it bigger?
Great tips!
You make this so clear!
Is each row increased by 6 double crochets?
Could you start it with a chain as I don't like doing magic circles?
Do you think this would work for rounded bra cups? I want to make a Tinkerbell costume, but none of the sweetheart neckline tutorials I can find look like what I'm looking for
This could totally work!
I’m trying to make a good size rug how do we keep increasing. Just add another loan dc between the 2 dcs
Very ingenious!!😍

What brand of hook is this? I’ve been looking for a wider handle for my larger hooks
That is a custom clay handle. You can find creators on Etsy! www.etsy.com/search?q=clay+handle+crochet+hook
New subscriber ~ Great video ~ Thank you!

Sc or slip stich will give clean edge❤

Oh yay I am so glad this helped!!!
@@HappilyHookedMagazine I haven't had time to look through your channel but having watched hundreds of crochet videos, your presentation is top notch!
Could you please comment the increase, you say it too fast. I got lost on your last row because it was too quick. Thank you

I wish you would show this tutorial more slowly. It's really good, but WAY way too fast!
You can adjust the speed of the video. O do it all the time 😊
is this uk terms? thnx
Ty Ty Ty....
A little to fast for me.
but much to practice also
👍👍💐💐❤️❤️🙏🙏
Я буду использовать для шапки с человеком пауком из тик тока
This is by far the worst crochet pattern i have ever followed
