- Images found in Documents and folders in the recently leaked Simpsons Hit and Run Source Code. Very interesting stuff found here! Drawings, Game Ideas, Prototype Models and more! Not sure if any of these were available before the leak. Also there were a lot of documents to go through so I might have missed some pictures!

Apparently there are missing files in the Source Code leak one of which is the prototype/early versions of the game so unfortunately all we have at the moment are the images. Still cool though!
Call me a negative Nancy or whatever but I honestly don't think they exists anymore, I have a really strong feeling after the game was done they wiped that folder so sadly we will probably never see them
@@dasdaza I concur. Game companies are pretty tight when it comes to early versions of games being junked. Usually when code or playtest console find their way out of a company, it’s just game files and documents. Never actual early versions of the game and stuff
@@MuseBySecrecy it's usually the opposite actually, having development documents and source code leak is more damaging than an early build because it means people can replicate your work. They probably wiped the directory to save file space

It's way too funny
So interesting to see that a stamina bar was thought up but then scrapped. I can just hear Homer's exhausted dialog as we speak.
You can hear all the characters dialogue in the final game when running.
@@namemcnamerton4249 *Yes*, but a stamina bar would make a character unable to run when depleted, which could yield some dialog in of itself

Fun fact, in the manual a lot of the screenshots of the game are from an early beta/prototype. I guess this is just kind of a common thing with game manuals.
This is beyond mindblowing! EVERYTHING was different a few months into development. I really hope some early builds get dumped. This game really feels like it was going to be much bigger than what we got. Keep making these videos man! Great work!
Thanks! Not sure what else to make now though. There is a debug version of the game I could make a video about but someone else already did that so I don't really see the point.

And without understanding how code works the only other things I could do are going through the Word Documents found. But they are very technical and I'd have to make it appealing for a video. People over at TCRF will probably have that all documented soon anyways. Hopefully the prototypes get shared!

wow this is absolutely unbelievable. it makes me so happy this game still gets crazy amounts of love & we still find out new things about it. here's to hoping for a remaster/sequel

0:38 this image right here is the bus stop sign well originally this content art was actually in the game files but this content art was scrap because this was later changed to a phone booth.
2:47 there is a early version of the demo game you got to see the quite different changes here the background is more lighter but in the final version it's been more than a little bit of light and dark and if you didn't notice there's a price tag on it what really it's really interesting that was actually remove from the game files
0:34 image right here this was originally planned to be when you press a button or low down the bridge and no allow you to drive on the ridge to get through the level but unfortunately this was scrapped.
so, looks like the racing minigame was literally based on Super Offroad from SNES. It was quite boring playing it for the first time, now i have the feeling that i might play It again.
i found a prototype gamecube controller, still cool though
any hint on where one might get the source code? just so i don't accidentally download it.

Apprently yeah though I've not seen it myself. There's a lot of documents to go through!
He wasn't a playable character, that was a quick "fake leak" thrown around while the chaos surrounding the source code was still ensuing

@@AeroWhistler though there does seem to be some evidence for characters like Grampa and strangely Ralph being playable. Sadly there's not much relating to Moe being playable. I think the idea of a playable Moe started due to a joke made by the speedrunner liquidwifi who during one of his streams jokingly said Moe was planned for the game instead of Apu. A couple of days ago, just after the source code leaked he took the joke one step further on his twitter where he posted an image a a to do list with "Moe was playable" written beneath it.
@@rainyday9174 Ralph would have been amusing lol, maybe he was supposed to drive Chief Wiggum's car on the Bart and Lisa levels? It'd make sense thematically, I could see a mission where one or the other needs a cop car and bribes Ralph into stealing his dad's car.

They're all scattered around different documents. I don't remember which ones specifically anymore. Easiest way to find them is sort by size because the larger the file size normally means the more pictures in them

Are they really working on another The Simpsons Hit & Run? I doubt EA will make another game of Simpsons.
Highly unlikely the leak is related to them making a sequel
@@AeroWhistler There were plans for The Simpsons Game 2, but it was strangely cancelled after the original was released.
@@evanhanley6437 There was supposed to be DLC for The Simpsons Game too! There’s unused messages in the game code related to deleting save files on your hard drive that would have made the DLC unplayable.

The Simpsons Road Rage, it was also made by Radical Entertainment.
it was originally gonna to be a sequel to the simpsons road rage but sadly the idea and name was scrapped
