    30lb braid on baitcasting and 10 for spinning. casting leader is 15-20 mono or fluoro and spinning 6-12 mono or fluoro. medium heavy for bait casting and medium moderate fast for spinning these are for my personal preferences and hook setting style.

    1 year late, but thanks for this video. I am sick of these rich anglers telling me I need 10 rod and reels to do it all. I just want to be simple and catch some bass. nobody wants to carry around several rods

    Found a 12 foot crappie rod and used it for bass. That thing launched my swimbaits.
