    Your rack mount power strip gave me the idea of getting a shallow rack that would fit onto a book shelf to shove a few of those bad boys in and some other little random useful things. I've been meaning to do a bit of a clean up and rejig of the office for a loooong time so that would be kind of useful rather than having those big chunky 8 plug things hanging around with their long ass cables lol. I could probably fit a UPS in there too, which isn't overly useful here where I live as we get pretty clean and reliable power but you never know!

    I really recommend the Hisense QLED tvs. They have quantum dot so the colors pop, 144hz for gaming, and lots of dimming zones to get true blacks and unmatched brightness. I know oled has every pixel as a dimming zone but the extra brightness makes the Hisense qled tvs look better than oleds imo. They’re also way cheaper than oled tvs too.
    Side note, this is my first time watching your channel and I enjoyed your chill presentation and video style. It was really fun seeing your setup and how you matched everything up and kept a great aesthetic. Definitely lots of inspiration for my own setup! Thanks for the coupon code as well, I love the filing cabinet from vernal space. I’ll probably buy it end of this month here.

    • @ChrisWilmshurst
      @ChrisWilmshurst  2 місяці тому +1

      Thanks for the recommendation! Hisense are a pretty affordable brand right? I’ve always been put off oled tv’s due to the high cost and risk of burn in.
      And appreciate the kind words about the video and setup. I’m pretty particular with everything I do with this setup. So if it stands out, I really don’t want it in my setup! Haha.
      Don’t thank me for the code, thank vernal as they provided it. I’m just a vessel to help promote them. :) fyi, I have the tall versions of that helps based on what I’ve shown.

    • @eventuallyintelligent
      @eventuallyintelligent 2 місяці тому

      @@ChrisWilmshurst just for argument's sake, ill offer my experience with an oled. modern oled tvs are more affordable than ever, coming from someone who found an LG C3 65 inch on sale for I believe $1200 USD. The picture quality is worlds apart from my previous non oled tv, and while my oled only does 120hz compared to the recommended hisense, I tested some pc gaming on it and the image was better than my lcd monitors at my actual setup.
      As far as burn-in goes, for these newer models with all their protection hardware and software, burn-in seems to only be a problem in rare, specific, and brutal workloads. If you don't have a static image on your oled for 6 hours a day for months on end, odds are you should be fine for years to come.
      Great video by the way, I love your setup.
