Huge Progress on our ZX-7R Project!

We've been super busy working on this 1997 Kawasaki ZX-7R. Check out the sweet new 7RR replica tail section & Dymag magnesium rims, PLUS we go for a little spin to see what problems we need to fix next.

I have a 1999 ZX7R they run cold blooded . Let the bike sit and ldle for ten minutes it should heat up to middle of temp gage . Let the cooling fan kick on an see if the bike over heats . If bike doesn't over heat the cooling system is fine . Ride on! cool bike

The regular back section with passenger seat looks not as bulbous. Not really convinced of that rr component over the stock one although the weirdness of it probably fits well enough with perhaps one of the more obscene colourway choices of the time.
Apart from being victim of someone’s drill I almost have the sister bike as far as condition goes. A couple upgrades on mine is a Muzzy can and what I believe to be Muzzy headers also although I haven’t pulled any of it apart yet, and a period correct Ohlins shock. I kinda like the survivor/patina look.
That mid 90’s period had some good characters and riders. North America with Scott Russell and Doug Chandler. Locally I watched Simon Crafar through WSBK for a few years, Anthony Gobert for the Australians, Akira Yanagawa of course.

Try replacing the cooling fan switch. Just replaced mine because it would kick on at a very high temp and now comes on much sooner. Actually helped.I did the thermostat first and didn’t really help.

Did you use a headlight restoration kit on your windscreen? I've seen a couple YT videos where it seemed to work. If it's an OEM screen. Cool score on the bike!
