I do think Jamie is probably the best out of the three "normals" but I'm really surprised about how the second round went. The fact that he won the presentation round messes me up though. That's one area where Barry and Mike are usually much better than him, imo.
Not only that, but he also demonstrated skills from almost all of the other badges - proving that he's not just learning for the test, he's actually incorporating it all into his cooking on a practical level. I'm a bit disappointed they didn't give him some badge-related recognition at the end.
@@momom5429 I disagree about the presentation round. Even though they called it a "basic photography badge", it was judged on social media. So what it actually was is "a basic marketing badge" disguised as a photography badge. Like literally Ben did say it was because chefs want to entice people on the interwebs. That's marketing. Jamie went to school for marketing, that's HIS thing. They just did Baz dirty by calling it a photography badge, lol!

All things considered, Mike really lucked out. He knocked the identification badge out of the park. And even though he completely bungled his dish, no one else got a badge, so he essentially tied them in that part. Plus, he then got to humiliate Photographer Barry with his wet bread. That was the funniest episode of recent times! Mikes meltdown had me rolling and i didnt think id laugh as hard again before the episode ended ...but then Barry lost 😂
First off seeing Barry's reaction to his picture of his dish coming in third has to be the funniest moment in Sorted history. Secondly my idea for a badge is improvisation badge. Chef's are not always going to have the ingredients they need so they have to think of a new dish or get different ingredients to replace the missing ones
@@BotloB The only names I can come up with are not quite "funny failure like". Couldn't find a word that described his mood in the vid haha. Mostly Jolly Jamie, Jumping Jamie or maybe even Jealous Jamie XD
@@liyantop Oh if we are talking about his actual mood in this video, it would definitelly be Jolly :) The situation where everything goes south for him could be called "The Jamie Jam".
Jamie was robbed on the dish itself, that looked absolutely divine. Yeah it's a classic pairing, but he did do exactly what you asked "Pick two flavors and make them in to a dish" and then was denied the badge because "It only tastes of coconut and pineapple"....the thing you asked him to do. Also, Barry losing the photography thing had me rolling.
I think he would have won had he incorporated a pineapple syrup into the pudding itself to more evenly blend the flavours rather than just top it with pineapple. But regardless, Jamie swept.
Regardless of outcome, I think Jamie's thought process of essentially deconstructing a piña colada and remaking it into a dessert is brilliant and way more than I could come up with on the fly.
I come back and watch this over and over. One of the greatest Sorted episodes. Also Jamie should have been elevated from a normal from the start he's so creative and knowledgeable!
The three reactions, Mike dying after hearing the 3rd challenge, Barry rage quitting, and Jamie laughing his arse off. Haven't ugly laughed like that in ages! Am not a foodie but absolutely the friendship and banter.

"Pick two flavors you just smelled and make a dessert, but the key is that those flavors must be the HERO of that dessert" *Jaimie makes a dessert tasting of pineapple and coconut* "no, not like that"
right? that kinda irked me as well lol like he made something delicious out of a flavor pairing like they asked and balanced it all out proper and then they were like "nah not what we meant mate"
this is a great episode to revisit got a huttlestorm got a james dying of laughter and the chefs being utterly bemused by the events transpiring and that's just 1 minute of the episode :D
I agree I went from food art whee it makes you want to eat the dish being presented I to the realm of that's something I'd hang on the wall but not realising it's actually a food dish lol.....their was to much on the background not enough on the dish needed to zoom in more I think
@@Silverizael no, She is saying the other photo looks more appetizing because Barry's dish is artsy but less appealing... no one can taste only by the photo 😅
@@RinaldiSuhardiono While you can't taste a photo, it can still tell you what's in the dish. Mike & Jamie had photos that did a reasonable job of showing what was in their respective dishes, It was more difficult to see that in Barry's photo.

Ok can we all agree that when barry got the idea of caramelised grapefruit was just brilliant with the little mischievous giggle/laught and we could all see the hurt in his eyes when he lost the photography badge.
Y'all should do a "soup kitchen" or "left over" style badge where you're given a bunch of small, refrigerated portions of random dishes and you have to combine them all into one. This would include some fresh/cupboard ingredients as well
Personally speaking, looking at the photos that they boys took: 1: Looks really good. Like how you imagine what a perfect toast and honey would look like, plus the custard drip is just 👌🏻 It looks so banging, I get this urge to make one! 2: Looks like the photo you'd find on menu / recipe guide. It looks proper and full, and makes you want to try and recreate it, so you can taste it 3: The photos feels more like art instead of something you want to try. Like something that looks really good as your phone wallpaper or hang on your wall, but its doesn't look enticing to try and eat. Anyway Barry meltdown and the boys reaction is really fun to watch 😂
Ok, this episode was gold all the way through. From Mike panicking and trying to do something, Mike absolutely dying when he heard the next round was about presentation, to all 3 reaction to results. Love the video guys, keep it coming.

One of the best episodes I've watched in a while. Ben and James while watching Mike were hilarious and feeling so bad for Barry while laughing uncontrollably at him was great. Thanks guys!
I just died at Ben saying "Maybe yours is advanced?" 😂
That was the funniest episode of recent times! Mikes meltdown had me rolling and i didnt think id laugh as hard again before the episode ended
...but then Barry lost 😂
First off seeing Barry's reaction to his picture of his dish coming in third has to be the funniest moment in Sorted history. Secondly my idea for a badge is improvisation badge. Chef's are not always going to have the ingredients they need so they have to think of a new dish or get different ingredients to replace the missing ones
Barry losing the photography challenge is just absolute gold
I present to you Meltdown Mike. It was HILARIOUS, thank you guys. Edit: and THEN comes Breakdown Barry....couldn't be better, made my day.
Love this comment. Very clever with the alliterations. 😂
Haha I like those names, good thinking! What would Jamie be?
@@liyantop Well, it's a hard one, the best I coul come up with is Jeopardy Jamie, but I'm open to suggestions :D
It looked so good
Regardless of outcome, I think Jamie's thought process of essentially deconstructing a piña colada and remaking it into a dessert is brilliant and way more than I could come up with on the fly.
I come back and watch this over and over. One of the greatest Sorted episodes. Also Jamie should have been elevated from a normal from the start he's so creative and knowledgeable!
Jamie's hysterical laugh is everything I needed.
The boys laughing about the results of the Instagram poll has made my entire day!
The three reactions, Mike dying after hearing the 3rd challenge, Barry rage quitting, and Jamie laughing his arse off. Haven't ugly laughed like that in ages!
Am not a foodie but absolutely the friendship and banter.
20:38 This is the BEST MOMENT on Sorted EVER! In this moment, a villain is born and his name is Barry. Whenever I need a good laugh, I watch this priceless classic reaction.
Honey on toast!
I am living for this content. I was crying with laughter. Kudos for keeping it genuine and not creating fake storylines or emotion.
All I could hear watching Mike make toast was James saying "where's the dish"
I was waiting for that line from someone, and disappointed when no one threw it out there. However, my disappointed didn't last long because the ending was so hilarious. 😆
OMG I'm dying at Mike learning he has to take a picture of his desert and put it out on the internet.
I laughed so hard when Barry lost his marbles about the photography challenge. I hope Jamie never lets him forget about it :D
"Pick two flavors you just smelled and make a dessert, but the key is that those flavors must be the HERO of that dessert"
*Jaimie makes a dessert tasting of pineapple and coconut*
"no, not like that"
right? that kinda irked me as well lol like he made something delicious out of a flavor pairing like they asked and balanced it all out proper and then they were like "nah not what we meant mate"
I was rooting for you Jamie for the picture!! Yess!!! 🎉
Barry losing basic photography is hilarious 😂😂😂
Remember when the boys would say, ‘But first...’ & back out of the fridge cam?!?!
Good times!! ☺️
Haha, that's proper old school sorted now 😂
and the dadjoke of the week
@@SortedFood love going back and watching the oldies. I miss the intro where Ben goes "what will we put in our mouths today"
Comment of the week too
@@flii87 😂
Clearly the only reason they don’t let Jamie plate up during pass it on is for everyone else to get some practice😂
this is a great episode to revisit got a huttlestorm got a james dying of laughter and the chefs being utterly bemused by the events transpiring and that's just 1 minute of the episode :D
Whoever edits the audio/music is amazing. I loved a lot of things about the vid, but the drop on Jamie's pineapple fire was excellent
Jamie’s laugh at the end will live rent free in my head this week
Barry not getting the photography badge was such a knife cut for him. I was sure he would at least get second but holy crap XD
Barry's was SO ARTSY, his photography was amazing, but it probably made it less appealing to eat because it looked like art.
That just sounds like the Sorted Food community have really bad taste in food.
I agree I went from food art whee it makes you want to eat the dish being presented I to the realm of that's something I'd hang on the wall but not realising it's actually a food dish lol.....their was to much on the background not enough on the dish needed to zoom in more I think
Yeah, comparing his dish to Jamie's and asking somebody to pick one that looks more delicious just isn't fair.
We have to have a reactions video for this. I know you typically just do that for pass it on videos, but this video is just too perfect for a reaction to pass up
We feeling the pride for Jamie being so on the ball in the kitchen today. Look how far he has come from straight panic to forward thinking.
That UPSET at the end. I was hollering in my room at Barry’s face! Oh my god. Someone please comfort the poor photographer.
Can you imagine him telling his wife how his day at work was? 🤣
This would include some fresh/cupboard ingredients as well
James and Ben’s face when Mike was “cooking,” priceless! I laughed so hard and had to rewind it multiple times to get more laughs in!
Personally speaking, looking at the photos that they boys took:
1: Looks really good. Like how you imagine what a perfect toast and honey would look like, plus the custard drip is just 👌🏻 It looks so banging, I get this urge to make one!
2: Looks like the photo you'd find on menu / recipe guide. It looks proper and full, and makes you want to try and recreate it, so you can taste it
3: The photos feels more like art instead of something you want to try. Like something that looks really good as your phone wallpaper or hang on your wall, but its doesn't look enticing to try and eat.
Anyway Barry meltdown and the boys reaction is really fun to watch 😂
James when Mike was about out of time, happy that he's made toast, quietly under his breathe, "Where's the dish?!"

Surely I’m not the only one who watched the Barry’s reaction like 10 times over before finding out that Jamie won?!🤷♂️😂

My stomach is killing me from laughing so hard 😂
So satisfying
Right here with you, it was worth every second... every time ;)
I absolutely did that too and one tear escaped from how hard I laughed xD
I love Barrys pain despite having voted for his dessert XD
😂 it is pretty funny.

Ok, this episode was gold all the way through. From Mike panicking and trying to do something, Mike absolutely dying when he heard the next round was about presentation, to all 3 reaction to results. Love the video guys, keep it coming.
All of the videos are great but this has got to be the best video you guys have put out in recent memory. Everyone looked like they were just having a ton of fun (not like you guys don't normally, it just seemed amped up in this one) and that ending with Barry getting dead last for photography, just priceless!
