I just found about him after seeing The Whispers on Tank"s podcast. One of the twins said Jesse Belvin was on his top five singers all time list And after he suggested Tank listen to "Goodnight My Love" I had to check out his music for myself. He truly had an awesome voice, and some great songs. I listen to "Goodnight My Love" a couple times a week.

It was sang by a group , The Penguins on dootone records(Cleve Duncan sang lead), it was written by Jesse Belvin and possibly Ganel Hodge ..........a lot of kids that were in doowop groups were friends with Jesse and still went to his parents house to use their piano even though Jesse was in the army , it is said that in the piano bench were many many songs Jesse had written "earth angel" was one of them .....the other groups would sometimes "take" songs out of the bench and try to sing them !!!...Jesse was on very many recordings back in the 50's alot of times just singing back up !!!.............Erik😮
