Fun fact about the Efteling: there is so much nature because they have the restriction to have at least 89% of their total surface area in the park be covered in nature. This percentage is currently sitting at 91%.
shamballa was actually made to look like the himalaya mountains, that's why it's a hyper, white and has huge airtime hills
I work in the theming department of a major theme park, and seeing people love what we do is so nice! Glad you guys appreciate the hard work we all do!
Thats really cool. For what themepark
Sarah's face when Taylor is speaking about SDC 😂
time to send her to SDC & Japan
😂
Lol 😂
Come on Taylor, suck it up and take Sarah to SDC will you otherwise I’m going to fly over the pond and take her there myself 😂
Too funny 😂
I find Alton Towers really pretty! It would make my top 10 easily. Same for Dollywood
Im very lucky to have it as my home park
Exactly. Both are really beautiful
I would give an honorable mention to two parks. Dollywood is the first of them. It's setting in the middle of the Smokey Mountains and the foliage in certain areas, especially in Craftsmans Valley and Wildwood Grove, make this one of the most breathtaking parks I've personally been to.
The other one is Hansa Park in Germany. I haven't been there personally, but pictures I've seen of that place, especially in areas like Beautiful Britain and Realms of the North, make the park look prettier than most other parks in Germany.
I was gonna say dollywood lol! I love it so much!!!
Man I haven’t been to that many but shoutout to bg Tampa’s big safari
Was also gonna say Dollywood but Silver Dollar City made the list and it’s the same company with similar theming.
Alton Towers is just stunning, walking down Towers Street and seeing the REAL Gothic Towers at the end. The gardens are world class, and the building restrictions put on the park means that the attractions are very unique with how they have been built down into the ground. Also Gronalund with those views over the water to Stockholm.
Definitely beautiful!
Alton Towers, unanimously agree.
@@CoasterStudioswhy didn’t I see la ronde on this list? It’s just too beautiful not to put on this list that is crazy😂
I would agree on almost every park on your list. The park I miss the most is Tivoli Gardens. I really love this place. Its just beautiful
Alton towers is our local park and the views to the towers are breath-taking, we also love Efteling, but all the parks in the list are so beautiful as well and could easily make a top 20 list with them all included plus more.
I’d definitely include Alton Towers on this list. An actual listed Gothic Manor House and hundreds of acres of gardens that are kept in perfect condition, and that’s before you even get to the coasters. Those lawns looking across to the Towers are spellbinding.
I was actually impressed by how nice six flags over Georgia was when I went.
SFOG is hilarious to me bc it's theming is a lot of Southern/GA charm which comes off as authentic since that's exactly where it is. Ironic compared to Disney's NOLA/Southern/Critter County lands which are amazing bc artificial AF
You impress easily then
I’d never heard of Parque del Cafe, but after seeing you guys go, it made its way up my bucket list. And my Parents love coffee so it’s a win win😂
I would say alton towers should also be considered a contender
It's lost some of it's lustre recently, but there was a time a decade or so ago where Seaworld San Diego rivaled Disneyland for prettiest park in California. Still the prettiest of the 3 Seaworld parks in my opinion, that view of Mission Bay you get from the skyride is amazing.
Phantasialand is on another level, I was speechless in Rookburg (sorry) and blown away by the Taron area I won’t try and spell. I would easily have had Alton Towers #1 from what I’ve visited but it’s a distant 2nd now. Still love it though!
Efteling just being a honorable mention is a crime!
Not really Whilst the Efteling is beautiful, I do think a lot of locals have like a personal connection with it because they visited it from childhood which doesn't really make the judgement very objective imho. I at first also thought it was the best until I visited places like Tokyo Disney sea.
What the Efteling should improve:
- themed toilets (like Toverland does)
- consistency (why carnival festival next to 2 rides themed to 1001 nights, that doesn't really make sense)
- blending -> the moment you leave a plaza you're just dumped in some woods. Would be nice if like the bridges blend nicely from one themed area to the other.
- sightlines (also related to blending and consistency) but from max and moritz you can see the big fabula building, and from the lake from the enterance you see the medieval theather and the Arabian fata morgana at the same time. Dump some vegetation there to hide it!
@@NiekNooijens this comment hits the spot
@@NiekNooijenswell all the rides around carnaval festival had a different theme in the past. Now its just an area to 1 theme but you cant realy move carnaval festival. (Sadly the circus coaster is cancelled, that would fit perfectly with carnaval Festival)
@@NiekNooijens My god, you do not want to see the old theming for Sirocco... XD
@@RunawayTrain2502 you do. It was so much better
And the music was amazing :P
I found out about Phantasialand a year ago through this channel, and now I’m going in 2 weeks
12 days later edit: Just did F.L.Y, it’s utterly amazing
that's awesome!!
I went 2 weeks ago, it was really beautiful and not to busy. Really nice park!
Great for you have fun
Toverland is one of the most underrated European theme parks imo. Stunning attractions, beautiful theming and one of the best soundtrack collections. What Toverland has accomplished in only 22 years of existence, is crazy.
Agreed, I love the Efteling and it's my fave european theme park because of the Dark Rides but Toverland is going all out with it's areas, the latest additions to Avelon are massive.
The new Huyverwoud area will beat Avalon in ambience by a mile in my opinion.
While I get that it isn't necessarily number one, I still think BGW should be top 10. The entry way, the German area, the Ireland area and the garden area in Italy are amazing, as is the Land of Dragons. I'd also argue for Dollywood and Silverwood.
A few other honorable mentions: It's not a full park but the World Showcase at EPCOT is stunning. Definitely agree that BGT gets an honorable mention. And I'll make a case that for being chain parks, both Fiesta Texas and Cedar Point are really nice looking parks with really cool settings. Fiesta looks better than the other Six Flags parks in terms of landscaping, theming, architecture and upkeep by far and the quarry wall just adds to the experience. That said, I really wish Cedar Point did more with its location. It's almost better looking from outside the park than within because of the lake. But the view of the water is so often obscured. They really should create more vistas in their extremely boring queue lines to let people enjoy the view of the water while waiting for a ride.
SFFT's quarry wall definitely came to mind for me as well! Unique piece of real-world theming that allows you to ride a coaster over an actual cliff (but not the coaster you'd think!) Beautiful in a desolate kind of way.
I’d love a sequel to this about the prettiest roller coasters
GASM at Six Flags over Georgia
American Eagle at SFGAm when they remember to paint it
Expedition Everest at Animal Kingdom
BTMRR and Matterhorn at Disneyland
Tron at Magic Kingdom and Shanghai Disneyland
Time Traveler at SDC
Wildfire at Kolmarden
Viper at SFGAm
Monster at Adventureland
@@mdf3530de Vliegende Hollander in the Efteling.
Aside from the heavily-themed ones, Shambhala and Hakugei have got to be up there. At least half of the reason Hakugei is a bucket-list ride for me is how it looks.
@@MattMcIrvin Baron 1898 and the Vliegende Hollander are just something else in the area of theming.
Entering Rookbourgh through that tunnel was a one of a kind experience I really didn't expect. I feel really proud that you started with 2 of my "hometownparks", EP and Tripsdrill.👏
PortAventura actually gave me a Busch Gardens Williamsburg-like vibe when I visited--early BGW, when they seemed to care more about theming everything. Turns out there's a reason for that: PortAventura basically WAS a Busch Gardens. The project started out as a joint venture of Busch Entertainment and the owners of Tibidabo and one of its working names in the planning stage was "Tibi Gardens."
(Eventually the Tibidabo people pulled out and Tussauds took their place, and it had a stint as a Universal park after that. Now it's actually independent, though it has the feel of a slick chain park--I guess it's a bit like Hersheypark that way.)
So confused as to why not mt Olympus is not on this list. Concrete slabs and parking lots. Absolutely stunning.
Islands of Adventure has some amazing views across the lake. And the Harry Potter land is just amazing.
honestly think Toverland deserves an honourable mention, some of the areas and queues are so gorgeous and well done
It does! I remember going there when Troy and Booster Bike were their only outdoor things. Now it's one of the most gorgeous theme parks out there!
BGW: “We’ve been voted the world’s most beautiful theme park for 33 years in a row!”
Taylor: “…and I took that personally”.
I once had a very, very long discussion with a former BGW employee at Europa Park...
I admit that BGW might be more imersive, but Europa Park, Disneyland Paris, and DisneySea are more beautiful than BGW.
Yes: I also take that personally 🙂
Efteling for me. Beautiful combination of natural beauty and theming, with probably the most gorgeous entrance as well.
Well if they based it on there visite last year. It sort of a big mess with all the build sites. They probable should come back in 2025 when everything is finished and had a year to grow.
But yeah depending on what you like it could be the number 1. Personly for me its nr2 on this list i still think phantasialand is better .Totally differnt in its set up though.
I would like to mention Tivoli, (Copenhagen) in Winter with Snow everywhere. It is sooo pretty :D
(Talking about disneyland paris) "You can tell that the people who work there really love it" -Taylor 2023
to be fairrrrr we filmed this video before the strikes lol
Joe Rohde is a genius. Animal Kingdom has to be the best I’ve been to. I lived in Orlando and went all the time while I was there. I still found new detail every time I went. There is a true sense of discovery.
Can’t argue with any of these. Epcot (if they ever finish with the update) and Dollywood deserve an honorable mention I’d think.
I recently went to Xplor part of XCARET in Mexico. Not entirely a roller coaster park but it’s beautifully themed. You are in the jungle and there’s rafts . The zip lines were insane . Deff something you guys would love . Xel Ha is a water park with slides but more natural . The place is called the Disney of Mexico. Check it out please!! You won’t be disappointed . At Xplor they are making this huge 5 in 1 water slide called Toboganxote . It’s the largest tornado bowl water slide I’ve ever seen. Puts the one at kings island to shame. Please please please check it out!!! Everything is completely in the middle of nowhere . Reminds me of park of cafe that you showed.
They should also go to the main Xcaret park and Xenses
@@xcoasterenthusiast yes !!!!
I absolutely loved the Xcaret parks! Even Hotel Xcaret is incredible.
It might not be the whole park but I have to give Kings Dominion some credit. Old Virginia and the path behind the Eiffel Tower leading to Candy Apple Grove are so pretty to look at. It might be Cedar Fair's prettiest park.
Kings dominion does look nice, but it does lack cohesion. The i305, flight of fear, and backlot stunt coaster area needs a redo.
If it were up to me, I would retheme backlot to a safari truck theme and retheme i305 to a space theme to tie in with flight of fear.
The park would look a whole lot better if they got rid of the ugly white safety fencing in the water park section.
Animal Kingdom is surprisingly underrated. It’s a lot of people’s least favorite out of the Disney World Parks. Personally it’s my favorite just for it’s scenery alone.
When AK first opened there was very little to do there, and I think it took a long time for it to shake that reputation. It's still not packed with rides, but there are plenty of attractions overall especially if you are interested in the animal exhibits.
I completely agree. I was blown away when I went there. When they tear down the ugly Dino area, they should add more major attractions.
Great list! Surprised not to see Tivoli Gardens, Dollywood or Alton Towers though.
All gorgeous parks! Unfortunately only 10 spots- had to make some tough decisions!
👍👍
Alton Towers definitely deserves to be on this list. It has the beautiful gardens and the mature trees around the park are wonderful.
Both Busch Gardens Parks are very beautiful
Yes, two of my favorite parks right in the beginning, Bush Gardens Williamsburg and Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
Disney Seas, Port Aventura, Bush Gardens Tampa, Islands of Adventures, Animal Kingdom, Disneyland Paris, been to all of them. I think Disney Sea is the prettiest Disney park, plus it has some unique rides found nowhere else in the Disney chain, as well as the best Tower of Terror.
You really should visit Europa Park. It doesn't have the greatest coasters, but it is really beautiful (the theme of this video)
I love that my two "local" parks made the list : EP and Tripsdrill. And Phantasialand is only a stone's throw away. 👍
It’s not strictly a theme park but I think Kennywood is spectacular in an authentically old-fashioned, classic amusement park way, especially at night
Efteling should be at least in top 3. The reason the rides are far apart is that it is a nature park and ghat they are only allowed to build on 11% of the land. That makes it a great park for taking a walk, enjoying the beautiful setting and hopping on a ride when you get there. You did not take enough time there to experience this. Efheling is a 2 day park at least and and you tried to do it in half a day last time. I am sorry, but that is an insult to the park in itself.
I have been before- so I have spent 1.5 days now there in total. I did in fact get to experience the things you mentioned in your comment.
It is funny that in 2019 Efteling won over Tokyo Disney Sea as the #1 best themed themepark in the world.
Efteling is by far the most beautiful theme park I have visited. I think it's more beautiful than Phantasialand because it combines incredible theming and natural beauty in a way no other park does.
I am just happy they are both a 90min drive away
Whilst the Efteling is beautiful, I do think a lot of locals have like a personal connection with it because they visited it from childhood which doesn't really make the judgement very objective imho.
U should definetly check out Europa Park as well. I personally think its even prettier than phantasialand and Efteling. But just my Personal opinion
Efteling in the Netherlands should be on the list, it's a pretty park.
Everland in Korea is definitely one of the prettiest theme parks I have ever visited. However I understand you have never had the chance to go there, but it is definitely worth a visit.
Europa Park is my favorite world-wide (and I worked for Busch theme-parks including Williamsburg park for 18+ years). Phantasialand in Germany and Efteling 3rd for me.
The Cypress Gardens section of Legoland Florida is wonderful
Silver Dollar City is the best theme park I've been to. And I've been to Universal and Disney in Orlando!!
I am biased because I grew up at this park and even worked there as a teen but I would put Hersheypark on that list in Pennsylvania. I’m in my 50s now, so I’m like a walking map to this place, but I think Hersheypark definitely at least should be considered an honorable mention as one of the prettiest parks, and clean too!😁 The yummiest part, it’s chocolate themed😋🍫🎡🎢 They are also updating literally like every year and adding new rides/coasters. They also have a really cool new entrance now. I have nostalgic memories of the old entrance with all of the stores and shops before you get into the park, but I have to admit the new one is pretty darn cool with a new roller coaster called Candymonium that you can see from the front entrance of the park. If you haven’t been to Hersheypark, I hope you get a chance to go!
Those parks in Europe are next level, no doubt. 😎
THEY CARE ABOUT THE GROUND! is my favourite part. also it's a coffee pun
Yes, there are some parks that I really love in terms of beauty.
First might be Hansa park in Germany. The theming, the flowers and location is really beautiful. Second is Gardaland in Italy. And to be honest, I also have a soft spot for Plopsaland De Panne as being an Belgian myself, this park is pure nostalgia. I can relate to everything this park is themed with. Same with Plopsa Coo. Question: Have you ever been to Plopsa Coo in Belgium?
I'd agree with DLP but u missed Alton Towers? Those gardens are stunning!
Hello There, a great video and thank you for sharing your persprctives of some really decent and well themed Theme Parks which look very imeersive as well as decent throughout. Cheers Peter :)
Animal Kingdom pavement is themed and tells a story too. Cool list. Thank you
my favourite themepark as a little kid was Toverland which I haven't been to in forever and mostly remember it as the inside area and the bikes rollercoaster. Than when we got a little older we went more to Efteling and Phantasialand, which I haven't been to those in a while but will be visiting both soon. Phantasialand is just a little closer to me and I do like it more, it is my favourite park so it's really cool to see it on the list. I can't wait to try out FLY because I haven't actually been on it yet. I am also beyond excited to go to Disneyland Paris for the first time next year.
Disneyland Paris absolutely, it was designed to be the most beautiful park and it definitely is! The attention to detail at that Disneyland in particular is insane
Some surprising omissions:
Dollywood, Tivoli Gardens, Parc Asterix, Alton Towers, Chessington, Toverland
Maybe even Gilroy Gardens, although I don’t think either of you have been there yet. (FYI, Cedar Fair no longer operates the park)
I guess Six Flags Fiesta Texas could be one to mention, although it’s still a Six Flags park in the end.
All gorgeous parks! Unfortunately only 10 spots- had to make some tough decisions!
Absolutely Parque del Cafe for most naturally beautiful park in the world!!
Ps just got off Rampage, great except for the major pothole 1/2 way through the ride
I'm very, VERY surprised you didn't include Alton Towers in this. And Fuji-Q Highland, just for that beautiful backdrop, I've been to both and they were unforgettable
Fuji Q has a beautiful backdrop, but the park itself appearance wise is not anything special. Alton Towers definitely should've at least gotten an honorable mention
if you had actually explored the gardens at Alton Towers in one of your vlogs I think you would change your mind. Absolutely stunning area
Knoebels in it's folksy way I find very comforting and relaxing
The problem with ranking 'the best' anything in the world, is that no one has actually done everything in the world, especially not the thousands of people voting in polls
Guess I can be lucky to have Phantasialand just around the corner from my place ❤
I’ve only ever been to parks in the UK and just wanted to know what you think of Alton towers because I thinks it’s beautiful and wondered how close it was to making the list
I think the part "prettiest park" within the Golden Ticket Awards is set upon the landscaping. As seen from a landscape architectural perspective Efteling has to be Number 1, Europa Park isn't bad as well as BGW. However, I would take Puy du Fou and (if you count it as a theme park) Pairi Daiza over them.
I have BGW as the prettiest park I've ever been to but I've only really been on the east coast. Dollywood is a close second.
Plopsaland deserves a place in this ranking, the ride to happiness is just insane and the buildings are so magical and incredible
Chimelong Ocean Kingdom is deffo worth a shout too
That park looks very very cool!
Kinda surprised tivoli gradens Denmark isn’t in here
Next time you visit Disney Sea, PLEASE don't forget to ride Soring Fantastic Flight first thing in the morning right after the gate opens! Get to the park at least one hour before its gate opening time. Then you should head over to Big Band Beat and line up there by no later than 10:30. Toy Story Mania, without a doubt, is THE best iteration of Toy Story Mania out there 👍🏼 Food wise, try the pastrami sandwich from Dockside Diner and spicy chicken leg at Lost River Delta; they are must-try foods!
I think tivoli gardens belongs on honorable mentions
I feel like another honorable mention could have been Toverland, especially with their Avalon area
Love this video.
Keep up the great content.
It’s about time for sarah to get on Hakugei
That comment on nitro and Sarah’s reaction has me dead 😂
I honestly think SFFT is one of most beautiful with its water falls and quarry walls. Way better than other six flags.
for sure the prettiest Six Flags park!
@@CoasterStudiosglad it’s my home park ❤
Great vid guys!
Epcot deserves honorable mention, more money spent on the gardening of EPCOT than goes into all of Busch Gardens parks, but construction definitely eats away the experience.
For its location and the fact the areas are broken up by bodies of water. Seaworld Australia is really pretty to me. Especially when you at the top of the lift hill of Leviathan/Storm Coaster or on Trident.
Sea World Australia is stunning!
I'm surprised you didn't mention Tivoli in Copenhagen as a runner-up.
Shoutout to Tibidabo for the city views, but also Heide Park, because it really surprised me how nice the park looked, and areas like the How to Train Your Dragon Area were done really well in my opinion.
Love you guys , great video
I've been to Gardaland last week and I love that new videomaping on Fuga da Atlantide
Was hoping for an Alton towers shout out in the honourable mentions. The landscape is amazing- I would put it in my top 10 if I’m being honest
Alton Towers definitely should've at least gotten an honorable mention
Three words, Silver Dollar City
This is so accurate!!
Personally I think the original Disneyland should have been in the honorable mentions simply because they were making it up as they went along and other theme parks used it as a blue print to make their parks better
It’s a shambles that Alton towers wasn’t mentioned once in this video
I don't understand how Islands of Adventure could be considered one of the most pretty parks. There's good looking architecture here and there and some good landscaping but, the park is more just well themed than beautiful.
Seaworld Abu Dhabi and Warner Brothers World nearby I think could make this list
SeaWorld Abu Dhabi looks next level! I could definitely see it making the cut whenever we go :D
I feel like when Disney approached Japan to build Disney sea the conversation went something like
Disney: “ hey, we want to build another park in Japan and we have 200 billion to make it happen!
Japan: “ok. We will match it!”
The fact that it only took them 2 years to build just gives me so much respect for the Japanese culture and work ethic.
Or are you just used to the beauty of BGW, since you have been there so often?
Tivoli Gardens at night! Prettiest man made place I have EVER visited
Dollywood should have at least gotten a shoutout
#4 Phantasialand
There are 2 very obvious reason why you don’t see so much of the landscape surrounding the park
1. the terrain in this part of Germany is pretty flat
2. as the park directly borders residential areas they have restrictions about the noise disturbance, so all the walls of the areas also serve as Sound barriers, wich also results in the height restrictions.
So by that they have to be creative in building these areas. So they go down in the ground and build stuff up in layer.
Kenny wood used to be before they put steel curtain in. It had such a great mesh new and old.
Somewhat surprised to not see Alton Towers make the cut. The gardens, the surrounding area and the towers themselves are absolutely stunning. Maybe not the best themed, but beautiful nonetheless.
They definitely should've at least been an honorable mention!
Fun Spot is gorgeous!
Enchanted Forest in Oregon and Gilroy Gardens in N California are both incredibly beautiful in the botanical sense.
I think alton Towers should have been on there, the gardens an countryside location is beautiful. Other than that good ranking 🔥
Drayton Manor, sitting down near vikings and looking over and seeing shockwave, stormforce 10 and the pirate ship, has a charm to it.
Alton Towers, the gardens are lovely and the actual towers are impressive, in a different sense of beautiful The Smiler, looking at all the track and being stunned and thinking how they fit all the track in that tiny space.
Also the rain forest room in shark bate reef. Great Video!
