    I built a techno crane with it.
    The equipment you can emulate with this would otherwise cost you hundreds if not thousands.
    That alone makes it a must-have for indie filmmakers, in my opinion.

    Use the cover’s flap for the sd card issue. It’s soft but firm enough to get the job done (TWSS)

    I have recently used my Osmo Pocket upside down attached to a selfie stick while walking or biking to get very low angle stabilised tracking shots of terrain. You have to be careful not to hit the ground but the shots are phenomenal, unique and until now were unobtainable for me without this great little device.

    Not sure if anyone has addressed it yet, but Tech 21 iPhone cases have more of an open vent by the speaker which allows you to have that connection to your osmo while leaving it in a protective case. I highly recommend!

    a cheeky "monopod" shot i used whilst skiing was to attach the Pocket to a Joby Tripod (using the DJI "GoPro" accessory) and Velcro it (very tight) to the handle of my ski pole. The just hold the pole the other way around. It worked well and the results are great.Don't crash though! It could get expensive.

    Wow that footage on the table was impressive! How does the Pocket compare to the latest GoPro and what is the audio quality like? I assume there is no port for external mics.

    • @iphoneographers
      @iphoneographers  5 років тому +1

      It’s different than the GoPro. Almost wouldn’t even compare them. The Osmo is not as wide or designed for rough and tumble use. It’s a bit delicate actually with the camera and motors. It can rack focus and has all the tracking features and app functions, etc. It’s a more we’ll rounded camera. Long story short, for us they’re different animals really. We own 4 GoPros and use and like them a lot, but will probably use the Osmo more now. Audio is ok for general close proximity sound.

      We don’t think it’s one or the other really. If only had one we’d go with phone and gimbal. A lot more options and flexibility we think. Osmo is great, but not to be the only camera. We did a video here ua-cam.com/video/PDj8JqnHAiA/v-deo.html

    Thanks for the video! My biggest issue with my Osmo pocket is the focus breathing....... Its driving me crazy, any tips on fixing that? I have to shoot the same clip 2-4 times to make sure I get at least one shot that doesnt have the focus hunting. It doesn't happen every times, its been hard to identify what situations is causing it. It seems to me that since its contrast based focusing that means flat light may cause more focus hunting. Easy fix would be a focus lock option.....its on all their drones... what gives?? Thanks again!

    • @iphoneographers

      We’ve had no trouble in that regard, although do understand your concern. Since we made this video we now have a tripod adapter so you can just put the Osmo on the end of the monopod without the phone. And if you want just use the phone as a monitor with a cable. You can get some pretty cool shots either way.

Nearly every Micro SD Card Slot works like this( DJI Mavic, Crystalsky, Interface adapter for Macbook Pro aso.) ! One will have always problems with Micro SD Cards if there are no more nails!
