So far I've only made a few outdoors videos, mostly Kayak related. I have several outdoor ideas in mind, hopefully get to them later this spring and summer.
It's a cool little kit. If the lid for the tin were removeable, it might work well as a lid for the cup too? I think I'm going to have to add that canteen kit to my own collection.
👍👍👍 .. Success! 😊. Personally, I would opt for the Esbit Folder and Grate. Perhaps even, setting the Esbit to the half-open position may then also accommodate that narrow cup better. I've included a set of Stainless Steel Wires (from an old Bicycle Spoke) cut to size with the ends bent down at 90° to hook firmly onto the Esbit Stove when it is in the fully open position. This allows even too small (for) diameter cups and such to be used when the stove is in 'full-open' mode. Hopefully the owner of the Yeti is a subscriber, has viewed your post and is already trotting back to pick up their 'refuse' 😁. Nice Environment you have there. Thanks for sharing and until next time, take care ..
What about a thick piece of aluminum foil. You could wrap around the canteen to prevent the rattling noise. The foil could be use wind screen for the stove.
Can’t wait to see the final dial in. Awesome video
I think a wind screen would really help. It would direct hot air up the sides of the tall cup.
This is the first time I’ve seen you outside, of course I’ve only seen about 15 or so of your videos. Keep up the good work of being you

Nice set up. I am sure with your tweaks it will get better.

I'm going to do a test burn with the Esbit at half.

Fogão Tope Mesmo Parabéns gostei muito
If this were my project, I would use the Esbit stove with the fan grate as opposed to the Altoids tin stove. But of course, this is just my opinion.
Agree .. the Esbit would probably be a better option. Perhaps using it in the 'half open' position, one will be able to dispense with the grate.
I tried the Esbit half open and the cup is to narrow to seat.
I'll have a video out on it and other tests later.

That's a darn good idea, I'll do it, thanks.
Couldn't you use the wash cloth between the canteen and cup to silence them instead of the foam to save space and weight?
Try a bandanna around the water bottle it has more uses!
Thanks, that's a good idea, also a viewer suggested using a aluminum foil wind screen. I'll have to give both a try.
