Absolutely right LHT, it's not OCD to want take care of your car or in your case, customers cars, it's called having standards and if you had to explain why, 'They' wouldn't understand anyway - Keep up the great work👍
I have struggled to keep my S stock. Up here in Canada, the weather only allows for seasonal driving. Right now, my S is in storage. Your videos keep me pumped in the "off season". Thank you for that. All that said, if I was to DE-stock my S, I would make the 24-26 hour drive to your shop. One of the things I truly appreciate is how CLEAN your work is aside from the astounding performance enhancements. Kudos to you and team.
Back in 2001 I got a K&N universal cylindrical filter, hacked up a stock Integra filter and attached the base and end cap to the K&N filter. It fits perfectly into the stock Integra air box. I’m still using the same filter today with almost 300,000 miles on it.
I just recently drove one from Oregon to Georgia. Its been a month and I still feel that drive. Thinking about eventually making it down to LHT, but that will have to wait awhile. Its a shame you're not a bit closer.
Just bought my 05 suzuka blue s2k this weekend and so excited for my package to arrive tomorrow from LHT, got the battery brace, VTEC solenoid cover, and MC Brace.
Glad to see the towel for the wires. It's funny how many videos I see where they don't put a towel under the wires resting on the fender. It's just a small detail that shows that the people working on your car are might not be on the same page regarding passion and quality.
That air diverter has a separator and space below to allow for dirt and heavier particles to be caught before it makes it to the cone filter. I agree more air would be good for performance. But Honda was using the space as efficiently as they could.
Your work ethic is truly admirable. I'm nowhere near at your level, but I always try my best to do things the way LHT would do it, or atleast to the best of my abilities.
if that's the short version, i am wondering what the long version of the story would be? kidding, keep up the great work, love what you do with Hondas!!!
Jackie told me about the new motor he got and the issues he had, but didn't know the knock was the main bearings. I've been waiting to see his Integra since I've only seen his other cars lol
I wish I had someone as detailed as you working in houston. would free up a lot of maintenance time or there's something too difficult for me to do in my garage. lol
Takes off customer wheels and lays it down on carpet because he didn't want to scratch the customer wheels. This. This is how you run a shop. The care and meticulous work is what shops needs to strive for.
Top man. Greetings from England. Videos hugely helpful to a new S2000 owner like myself. Do me a favour and tell me exactly what engine oil you would recommend (26000 mile engine AP1) and what tyres? There us so much contradictory info on forums, not all informed!😄
Videos are awesome I subscribed immediately after buying my Silverstone AP2 a couple weeks ago. Do you know where to purchase that J's racing snorkel? I cant find it on their website
How does Honda keep parts for a 12 year old car that only sold like 700 units? Have those been on shelf all that time? How do they know know many to make?
The GoPro 7 looks and sounds better than whatever camera you have been using, the electronic image stabilization works better, too. Maybe one of these days you'll upload a 4K video, I know it's a lot more difficult to edit and the files are huge but it would be fun to see the shop in 4K resolution. Lots of people now have 4K smart TVs with which they could watch LHT off UA-cam in 4K.
@@LHTPerformance - OK, thank you for the quick reply. I find all your video fascinating regardless of the resolution. I'd love to have you tweak my bone-stock 2005 S2000 but I'm in New Mexico. (I'm having an issue where it's kind of "crunchy" going into each gear until I have driven maybe 20 miles and it becomes typically Honda smooth. I guessing synchronizers or maybe slightly bent forks. Maybe not since I've never abused it in any way.)
I think it is a good habit when people refer to things as "WE this and WE_ that" it says we are incorporating other people. See how i said we are incorporating. i do it too
I don't want to be a big mouth here, but I'm OCD as James May and I'm not kidding, I have to have the vents pointing in the same direction and wash my car twice a week, buffing every 3 months. I even did that to a daily Honda that I had to commute. I am a weirdo I think.
@@LHTPerformance Cool, the listing is vague and says "it is necessary to remove the rod and front performance inside the bumper" so good to hear that's all the modification that's needed. Thanks for the info and nice video is always.
Anyone have advice for me? Looking to get and S but not sure if getting a low mileage one is worth it. Would you get a lower mileage one if you plan on supercharging it? Or try and get a decent one around 100kish miles? It wont be my daily and It wont getting driven too often. I work on the road hardly ever home. Thinking it might be worth the money to get a lower mileage one just because of the resell value but honestly I think if I get one I probable wont sell it. Have no kids and don't plan on it.
John could you please tell how many inches or what’s the distance between original suspension and CR with the lowering springs Hopefully 1 inch at least
Most shipping companies do a very good job these days. They all do a very detailed walk around the car and take video and pictures. And then do the same on drop off. Just avoid the shady looking folks.
Wheelit King Yes. We use Ben from Puddy Mod. I had a. 4.56 ( I think) in one of my NA S2000s and it made a world of difference. Felt like it gained 25whp.
As much as I enjoy a stock looking street car pushing 400-500 hp with fancy "overnight'ed parts from Japan".. I'd love to see everything LHT got in a all out drag car.. 800-1000+ hp, dependability aside , gutted and lightweight, no luxuries or power anything, holy hell 8-9 second 1/4 mile, race car! I feel like LHT would be damn good at it! 😁 Any chances? I'll drive if you need me to.. 😂
Eddie B We hasn’t posted too many of our HP builds as it’s not my passion. We built a civic with a B17A I built 10 years ago making 740whp and its a daily. We built an S2000 making 800whp and was used daily for 2 years, it eventually twisted the crank. My Type R made 647whp In full street trim. They are cool but over balanced and uncontrollable. It’s not my market or my passion.

MuffinMan0521 I hate to sound like a snob, but too often the mechanic or tuner working on your car does not always take care of his own car.
That car is perfect.

I've been thinking of getting that J's air duct. Did you need to cut/remove anything other than the plastic plate or bend the AC lines?

Yes, Many times. As a kid my Dad and I used to stay a week on the side of Loch Goil fishing in a boat and engine he made.
do you want to sell the old carpet? usually you show the stock number for parts. can you buy new carpeting?
This was over two years ago. I doubt the carpet is still available.
