Hey Sam!! Great video as always mate. Hope you had a lovely Christmas. Much love as always from Helen & Wayne (monkey shoulder fan) in the UK. Stay safe 🙂
I would say that once you're packed up and in the process of leaving you had a successful stealth. You just looked like you had eaten breakfast in the park and not camping overnight.
Hey Sam! Life can be rough, but I am back to watch all of your adcentures. This one was a good one. Nice that they send you an e bike. Irma from the Netherlands
Hello again , I see we’re going stealth, in the army , when in the field we have to use cover and concealment, we use empty sand bags to cover head lights and any thing reflective, you can use stuff sacks and or compression bags
If you tire your bag front to back into that rack it won't flop around so much. I strapped a pack to the back of my Harley like that once and then I had to try and run into the freeway in between traffic to grab it. Lol
The Ottawa-Jermain MTB Trail. I’ve been biking and hiking it for years. I did come across a homeless person in there once but usually the only thing I see are deer. Nice video! 👍
Awesome video. I guess you were technically busted, but in the morning seems less critical as you were "moving along" anyway. So i couldn't find the you tuber you recommended in your description, but i might be missing the obvious. Keep up the good work and can't wait to see you and Kevin's brilliant adventure. Have you thought about doing a "dual survival" episode with Kevin? that'd be hilarious.
Great video. I'm semi-retired at 60, and your videos make me want to do some stealth camping. My wife has said she wants a bike, now that we've moved into a new house, and I told her that with my shot knees I'd have to get a e-bike. So I'm half-way there. Just curious, though. I see you strap down your pack sideways on the bike behind the seat and it's a little wobbly. With that long rack on the back, why don't you strap it down lengthwise rather than sideways? Mark
Hi Mark! I wish you the best in your adventures. Please please remember safety first. As to the e-bike, they have a full power mode like I was using, but also a "pedal assist" mode. This is where you are pedaling a little but also the motor is helping you. You can get a little exercise, but let the motor do a lot of the work. As to the pack, that's actually a great idea. That rack is so long in the back, it makes sense. I'll have to try that next time.
I got a RadRover for my 70th birthday 3 years ago. I got both front and rear racks, but with a full sized bike and no drop frame, it can be a challenge to get on and off it, and I am over 6 ft tall. I now resort to tilting the bike over to get on it rather than throwing my leg over the rack and frame. For any who are interested in ebikes, I strongly recommend the hubmotor systems rather than the "midmotor" which puts all the wear and tear of the motor power on that drive chain which is designed around the 1/10 hp of our legs and not the 1/2 to 1 hp of an electric motor.
Great bike for camping, just add paniers on the back, that is safer than wearing a rucksack, for Center of Gravity reasons. Tell people you are testing out your camping gear for a night before you go on your proper camping trip, everyone will understand that, it makes sense
Haha I've never even heard of that word, "paniers" I guess you learn something new everyday! Yes I'm definitely looking into that though, thanks for the tip!
Heyyyyyy. That was a cool stealth camp video. The e-bike is a good idea. I bought an e-bike a few years ago. It still runs great but the tires are worn out. I'm gonna try it in the wilds of PA in about 4 or 5 months.
Love them Bush's beans - the best. Add a little mustard, ketchup and brown sugar. Cut up some smoky links to put in it. Not at all stealthy though. Someone gonna be smelling that bacon a mile away. lol Good way to attract skunks late in the fall too. They're out wandering to fatten up. I had one sit down next to me recently. He just sat there.
@@CampingwithSamBananas It just walked past in front of me then came up beside me - laid down and sat there for about 10 minutes. I just stayed there too. lol
@@CampingwithSamBananas In my town they say about 80% of raccoons have rabies so you gotta watch out for them in a city. We had an exterminator come in to the warehouse I worked at and they trapped about 10 of them. All had rabies.
Same park as the 7-11 camping ⛺️ This park is right by my house .. awesome to see! Hey try Amy’s organic soups.. they are really good, and good for camping. I do a ton of hiking 🥾 in the area.. more out at Lake Erie ( over a decade) Camped it a few times 🤫 I take my daughter to northern Michigan u.p and do a big hike once a year.. inspired to see your vids.. makes me wanna get out more and push it 🤙🏻 Can you give us a update on the ebike? I’m torn between a Vespa, ebike, or a scooter 🛴 I’ve been seeing the fast one wheels over by campus .. wild!
Hi bud! My wife and I actually eat Amy's soups all the time. As for the e-bike keep in mind it was given to me for free, so my opinion could be a little biased lol! However I think the main benefit for me is that it's still a bike so it gets all the extra benefits of a bike. Using bikes lane, going where motorized vehicles are not allowed etc. You can take a Vespa on that trail I was on. E-Bike doesn't seem to be a problem. Plus I'm never paying for gas. Plus I don't believe I'm obligated to carry insurance. I do have car insurance obviously, not positive if it covers me on the bike. These are all factors to consider. Hope this helps!
Sam, with those dried leaves and brush it looks like you are in Lyme tick territory. How do you protect yourself? The nymphs are almost invisible and they are active even in cold weather. Also, what if you had gotten the runs from bad bacon? Where would you go? Would a Mountie have arrested you if he had caught you in the park or going to the bathroom there?
We do have ticks here. Thankfully Lyme Disease is fairly rare here. I still have my wife check me when I go home. Have been lucky so far, I haven't been bit yet. As for getting the runs, it definitely happens. That's why I always carry toilet paper and a poop trowel, so I can bury it. I'm in USA, so we don't have Mounties. But a police officer could have potentially seen me. That's why it's important to go way back into the woods away from the trail. Hope this answers everything!
Hey there Sam I have enjoyed your channel for quite some time. Thanks for the tip on Jordo. I am enjoying his videos too. I love the e-bike. It can be a game changer in so many ways. One parting observation though. Where is your helmet?
Hey man, glad you're enjoying the channel! It's a good question. My wife was not happy with me lol. I do have one and honestly it just slipped my mind.
Hello buddy how's it going? That is a nice bike you got. I like to get me a bike like that one day. I do a lot of bike riding with my 6 boys doing the summer time & I love it. Merry Christmas to you and your family buddy. I hope you enjoyed your holiday with your family. Good video buddy thanks you for sharing it.
Hi bud! Links for both are in the description if you want to check them out. As for the video compilation of going back for the camera, I've definitely thought about it LOL!
I always think about how frustrating all those B roll shots must be.. setting cam up riding out and riding through just to ride back again to pick up camera... I feel frustrated just thinking about it lol
Believe it or not, it's not really all that frustrating. If you think about it, that's how every shot works. You push record, get in front of the camera, do something, go back to the camera and end record. I just hope it comes out well and makes a good video for people to enjoy.
being busted would be if they called the authorities or it was the authorities, they were just friendly folks you met on ya adventure. looking forward to the collab with Small Plots and hope to see more awesome camps before then.
You definitely will bud. Working on an edit for one right now, so should have a new video out next week. Plus it looks like I'll be heading out into the rain this weekend.
Sometimes I'm urban hiking with my friend and stumble on someone's camp, usually homeless and not stealthing, but still awkward, I try to go quiet and leave quickly when that happens, I always feel bad lol. Btw those are some interesting shoes, never seen shoes with a dial-adjusted strap or whatever, like that. Oh and I feel like if Nice C isn't alluding to the chair itself, it's alluding to a meme, a kind of inappropriate one lol. But that's just a wild guess, it's likely not, it's just what I first thought of.
Dude yeah I've done the same with a homeless persons camp, always feel bad too. I love these shoes. Link in the description if you want to check them out.
The music playing at the end of this video sounds like the hymn "Leaning on the Everlasting Cross". It brought tears to my eyes and my heart actually felt hot. Thank you. I needed it. I love your videos. Thank you for sharing. Stay safe and healthy. And strong in Christ. 🦋Janet English🐞

Dude you're so welcome!! I really appreciate you tuning in. Helps me validate what I'm doing haha! I struggle with weight as well and it's really not easy. Good for you for getting back out there, have a blast my friend!
You were in Ottawa Park in Toledo, Ohio.
Stay safe, stay warm !! Happy New Year 2023..
You too! 🍌
Ebike camping is definitely on my to do list. My ebiking friends have been talking about doing this for some time now. I just have to figure out where I can go in my area.
Dude it's so much fun! I used to have a moped as a teen and it reminded me of that. Can't wait to get out and do some more of it.
Hi there. I'm new to your channel. UA-cam has just recommended a couple of your videos,
This one & Solo CAMPING in the RAIN with Tent & Tarp | Hilltop next to a LAKE.
I love your content so I subscribed to your Channel.
I guess I will be binge-watch you for the next couple days. & I'd like to just say hello to mrs. Banana.
Good luck, have fun, and keep them coming.
Terry that's great! Nice to see you on board. Hope you enjoy the videos and thanks for watching.
right as you took that orange hat off... I was thinking mannnnnnn.. that's not very ninja !! funny
Hey Sam!! Great video as always mate. Hope you had a lovely Christmas. Much love as always from Helen & Wayne (monkey shoulder fan) in the UK. Stay safe 🙂
Awesome! I recognize you for sure. Cheers Helen and Wayne!
I would say that once you're packed up and in the process of leaving you had a successful stealth. You just looked like you had eaten breakfast in the park and not camping overnight.
Yeah we'll that's good to hear! I was worried i scared the crap out of them
Hey Sam! Life can be rough, but I am back to watch all of your adcentures. This one was a good one. Nice that they send you an e bike. Irma from the Netherlands
Welcome back Irma! Glad to see you are back and I hope you enjoy all the videos. I have a lot more coming out.
Hello again , I see we’re going stealth, in the army , when in the field we have to use cover and concealment, we use empty sand bags to cover head lights and any thing reflective, you can use stuff sacks and or compression bags
Hi Groot! Nice to see ya bud
Another great video Sam. Love that E bike you have. Keep up the great work.
Thanks a ton!
If you tire your bag front to back into that rack it won't flop around so much. I strapped a pack to the back of my Harley like that once and then I had to try and run into the freeway in between traffic to grab it. Lol
Lol! Oh no!!! Hey but that's a great tip, thanks man I'll try it.
Great meal.. So long as you sleep alone..nice video
Haha very true!
Great vlog Sam!!! Happy Holidays to your family and you👍.
Thanks Peter, same to you!
The Ottawa-Jermain MTB Trail. I’ve been biking and hiking it for years. I did come across a homeless person in there once but usually the only thing I see are deer. Nice video! 👍
Thanks man! Yeah the place is completely loaded with deer. Cheers 🍻 🍌
Hey bud I updated the description. Should be there now! I agree about Kevin. I'll have to see if he'd be down.
Not busted when you are packing up to leave.
Dinner looked great.
The e-bike is a game changer.
Yeah it really is, hopefully it will lead to a lot of adventures
Nice job Sam, I thought the second bike would be for Mrs. B.
It will! But Kevin and I don't live in the same place so he can ride the second e-bike when he comes to visit.
Can you do a review or video o. What bike your riding here?
Hey bud! I've got a link in the description if you want to check it out.
Hey Sam at 6:55 even the mushrooms were banana colored! That's just Bananas! awesome video Sam
🤣🤣 yep they totally were
Good stuff as always Sam!
I have got to get an e-bike!!
Thanks man! They really are pretty slick, I'm excited to keep using this.
You need some Texas Pete on your beans...👍🏼 Great video
That's a great idea!!
@@CampingwithSamBananas Oh, I thought that it would be the same in the US, but I guess you say Saddle bags???
Bought that chair 3 years ago, used it at leat 75 times a year and going strong, just need tennis balls or something to keep it from sinking
Good to know!
I haven't watched all your videos yet so I'm wondering... have you ever run into coyotes or coy wolves in any of your urban camping?
Hey bud! No wolves but I've seen coyotes a couple of times.
Heyyyyyy. That was a cool stealth camp video. The e-bike is a good idea. I bought an e-bike a few years ago. It still runs great but the tires are worn out. I'm gonna try it in the wilds of PA in about 4 or 5 months.
Nice dude! If all you need is new tires I'd say you're doing pretty good. Good luck with your trip
Love them Bush's beans - the best. Add a little mustard, ketchup and brown sugar. Cut up some smoky links to put in it.
Not at all stealthy though. Someone gonna be smelling that bacon a mile away. lol
Good way to attract skunks late in the fall too. They're out wandering to fatten up. I had one sit down next to me recently. He just sat there.
Haha dude you got lucky! I never see skunks in my neck off the woods, but I did see a raccoon up close and personal in my latest (upcoming)
Same park as the 7-11 camping ⛺️
This park is right by my house .. awesome to see!
Hey try Amy’s organic soups.. they are really good, and good for camping.
I do a ton of hiking 🥾 in the area.. more out at Lake Erie ( over a decade) Camped it a few times 🤫
I take my daughter to northern Michigan u.p and do a big hike once a year..
inspired to see your vids.. makes me wanna get out more and push it 🤙🏻
Can you give us a update on the ebike?
I’m torn between a Vespa, ebike, or a scooter 🛴
I’ve been seeing the fast one wheels over by campus .. wild!
@@CampingwithSamBananas Thanks Sam!
Love your videos and adventures.
Thank you!
I can relate. On a bike tour to Manteo last year I left my helmet behind at a rest stop and did not even notice until I stopped again 10 miles later.
Nice bike! And another great video. Thanks!
Thanks! Glad you like it
There's no flat spot enough, sounds like you're outrunning your headlights, slow down a bit. Cheers from Jacksonville Florida 🌞
Never heard that phrase before, I needed to google it. Interesting!
Great video again my friend hope you had a great Christmas and I wish you and Mrs banana a happy New Year john from Sheffield England
Same to you, John! Nice to see ya bud
"Intresting" is not a word.
Have you got anything like geograph in the US? People upload pictures of places which can be great to cross reference a location.
Never heard of it
Very cool park. Did that meal put you in a food coma ? >_< I have dun some stealth camping in my time.
Haha dude yes! I slept like a rock
Fantastic work keep up with the fantastic work
Thanks, will do!
Merry Christmas Mack! Nice to see ya bud
Another great video. Who makes your OD backpack & OD green duffle bag?
Also, you should compile a video of just the parts where you have to go back and retrieve the camera that videos you heading away from it.
Hi bud! Links for both are in the description if you want to check them out. As for the video compilation of going back for the camera, I've definitely thought about it LOL!
@@CampingwithSamBananas Thanks, man. And yeah, doooo it!
I always think about how frustrating all those B roll shots must be.. setting cam up riding out and riding through just to ride back again to pick up camera... I feel frustrated just thinking about it lol
Believe it or not, it's not really all that frustrating. If you think about it, that's how every shot
works. You push record, get in front of the camera, do something, go back to the camera and end record. I just hope it comes out well and makes a good video for people to enjoy.
Wally is awesome. Been following him for a while. 🤣
Haha he is really is
With a meal cooked up like that better watch out for the sasquatch smelling that! They'll show up even in the cities parks
Haha no doubt
being busted would be if they called the authorities or it was the authorities, they were just friendly folks you met on ya adventure. looking forward to the collab with Small Plots and hope to see more awesome camps before then.
You definitely will bud. Working on an edit for one right now, so should have a new video out next week. Plus it looks like I'll be heading out into the rain this weekend.
"Busted" 😂. But you were leaving anyways so you are OK 👍
Haha yep! It's not like I got in trouble but I was still embarrassed
Sam, you need to get a P-38 to open cans with instead of dulling your knives.
Someone else suggested this as well and I think it's a great idea
What an amazing electric bike, love it
Same here 😃
Happy New Year Sam!!
Happy new year!
Thanks Sam for the video brother enjoyed it as always
Hi Harold, glad you liked it bud!

Yes that is the song. Glad you enjoyed the video!
