Another breath taking build and video :D "Insert text block of admiration for the combination of grand scale and intricate detail" I especially like the use of granite and other red texture. To me it implies that the castle was repaired or enhanced but the original material was no longer around. So yeah, great environmental story telling! (As always ^^) Also the music will be stuck in my head for the foreseeable future XD

Hey cinnis! Thanks! I think it turned out well with the gradient. I had to adjust some of the gradients multiple time, specifically the white gradient on the keep and tower. Initially they were a bit overdone so toning it down a little helped. 🙂

Do you make plan first ? Some test builds first ? Or you just do the first layer and you follow your imagination along your progress ? :)
Thanks a lot! It varies a lot actually. My castle type builds are improvised to a fairly large extend while my cathedral type builds tend to be more planned out. I actually made a video about my process. It's called "Thinking Inside the Box".
They don’t do that, they’re literally either afraid of rebuilding or afraid you’ll recreate their masterpiece. “Gonna have to work hard and look carefully if you care that much”
I wish I had the patience, and a pc. I make pretty ok and detailed small stuff on bedrock, but it bugs out after maybe an hour and my ipad overheats. I’m jealous. I can randomly come across the mptivation, but I don’t have the means to do it whenever :(
The top of the mountain was added, but the main mounted is vanilla. The seed and coordinates are in the description. I didn't do much planning. This build was improvised, so I let the mountain dictate the size of the towers.

Thanks, Damien. Red Stone is not my strong suit though. I can imagine the material grinding need for a survival version, but the materials used are not necessarily the hardest to farm I guess and some of them could easily be switched to more abundant materials.
Running out of superlatives for these builds. Outrageously stunning. Just incredible! Every time you outdo yourself it's amazing. I DO wish we always got a glimpse of a nighttime view for the builds, but regardless -- fabulous work!
Thanks! I do plan ahead to varying degrees. For this I mostly took screenshots and drew rough sketches in Photoshop. This works well for me when I want to improvise detailing, but need a shape to work with. But some of my other builds are done with a lot of test building before building the final version. I usually plan less for "mountain builds" (this one, The Monastery, Bath Tower...) and more for solitary builds (Autumn, Dragon, Sanctum...) Building an outline with coloured blocks like wool, works for a lot of builders, but I don't really use that method. 🙂
Understandable, they're massive and I remember seeing you mentioned you were making a tutorial for 'Birchblossom Castle' so I imagine you're busy working on that too, I would just love to have them both in my Japanese and Medieval cities.

This one had to be a fantasy style castle so I went for a high-fantasy feel with gothic elements. I did try out some designs for a danish castle, but I haven't found the right design yet. I'm in the middle of a tutorial series for another build, so it's not like I'm not making them. Time is short unfortunately and these tutorials take a lot of time to make. I'm flattered that people want to build my builds and I truly think that you're some of the coolest types of people. It's really awesome. But yeah, I'm just one person with limited time.

You are the most inspiring minecraft artist (for me) at the moment. The atmosphere and storytelling you create with these cinematics, is phenomenal, and I haven't even started about the build itself. How do you prevent your castle from becoming “too perfect”? Im capable of adding this much detail but the structure it’s self becomes too perfect 🤨

@@anime-fan9976 Jep, that is the reality unfortunately. People are asking the same question for a lot of my other builds. I'm in the middle of a tutorial series for another build, so it's not like I'm not making them. Time is short unfortunately and these tutorials take a lot of time to make. I'm flattered that people want to build my builds and I truly think that you're some of the coolest types of people. It's really awesome. But yeah, I'm just one person with limited time.
