About the Podcast:
The Bald and the Beautiful with Trixie and Katya features a pair of grizzled gay ghouls sitting on chairs, holding microphones, and discussing their fabulous lives in Tinseltown. (featuring occasional forays into movies, television shows, and air-conditioning) The New York Times called them models, moguls, actors, influencers, drag queens, RuPaul's Drag Race contestants, and even humanoids. If one thing can be said about these two preternaturally gorgeous queens' podcast, it's that Trixie and Katya find the sheer, unadulterated beauty of pure insanity. Tune in every week to experience the auditory pleasure that is The Bald and the Beautiful with Trixie and Katya.

33:14 "Urine Therapy"
"Yes I am, I have an appointment tomorrow"

I rewatched this multiple times thanks for the time tag!! Hahahahahhshshsh
The Who's On First of our era
I was listening to this at the office. Almost popped a vein holding that laugh in lol
Someone needs to make a short of this immediately so I can send it to my straight friend
"one day, you've had your last piece of cheese and you don't even know it"
For Trixie that was the day she met David Silver…
😢😢😢
😫😭
This was me at 24! I had to go to the Emergency room. I suddenly became allergic to cheese and eggs after eating them all of my life and having no reactions what-so-ever. I was so, so sad, and was in the same situation as Trixie where I was desperately finding alternatives because… I eat a lot of milk and eggs. Hahaha!
I’m so lucky to live at the same time as Trixie and Katya🥲
OK YOURE SO REAL FOR THAT
I think this to myself ALL the time!!
wholeheartedly agree 🤍
I saw Rupaul in London while waiting to cross the road. She saw I recognised her, and turned, without me saying anything, kissed my cheek and said hello. Her skin was like baby's skin. She's lovely.
Wtf???
No way
What did you smoke before this encounter? I want some.
She becomes a different person in London 😅
I met Ru irl in DC this past March. Amazing, life-changing. I actually made him laugh, too. 💅🏿
trixie went to the ambies, read them all to filth to their faces, then she went on her podcast and called them all ugly behind their baks LMAAO i love her so much
The trauma of her mom being shot really affected her.
speaking of water not showing up on camera: in supernatural, holy water is often tossed in people's faces to see if they're a demon, but since water doesn't show up well on camera, they use lube. so there are a lot of scenes of jensen ackles and whatnot getting a face full of lube
I really enjoyed this fact
I think eating Indian food is the best way to to go gluten and dairy free. There are dozens of cuisines on the subcontinent and all of them have spent centuries catering to vegetarians or avoiding pork or avoiding beef. No other class of cuisines has mastered spices to the same degree either. You can substitute tofu for paneer where necessary.
High time that people recognise this 😭 vegetarian food doesn't have to be bland and all leaves and grass and twigs.
YES i'm vegetarian and indian food is hands down some of my favorite cuisine
Trixie didn’t say she had to give up meat, tho
@@mallaymusic3023 she's been vegetarian almost her whole life
You have to be careful and ask your local restaurants if their veg dishes are made with butter, I don’t think they list it. Unless you’re super smart and know more specifically which type of Indian cuisine does/doesn’t use ghee! Or they label it with a V, that’s always nice
Thankful for all of these episodes with Trixie & Katya! Shoutout to whoever writers these descriptions too lol

"Uma Thermos" is a great drag name because it also has the "oooh my thermos" reading lol

I can just picture Ru saying like this while presenting her on the runway. 😂
that shot glass pi** girl story brought me back to unhhh Doctors from YEARS ago when they first discussed this theme 😆
And Katya saying “Mama that was me”😂😂
"would you ever be on stage with Madonna?"
She has the gift of prophecy.
“right in front of my salad” is hilarious
it took me an embarrassingly long time to realize the reason this episode feels off is because trixie is in full drag and katya isn’t
Same
Ha, ha, I didn’t even noticed until I read your comment! 😂
"don't show her face"
SHOWS HER FACE LOL
love both of these biological, god-fearing women. take care of your health and take your time getting better
god bless you trixie for standing with the uncut
“Exit the trailer park, turn left!”
exactly, felt so proud....
she's always been a proud ally, we need a compilation at this point
Oh Ms. Mattel, I, too, have a severe auto immune disease and had the choice for Remicade infusions or an injectable like you, and I chose the 2.5 hour infusions. Every 8 weeks, I get to watch some court tv, eat some snacks, and get infused with medication to help with my ankylosing spondylitis. Now I’m considering going dairy and gluten free. I hope you both are well. 🥰
We none of us have any business knowing her health status & whatnot; she very possibly could have been on any other oral AI meds us plebs have to take before qualifying for biologics for an undisclosed amount of time - but HOW did she qualify for biologics seemingly so quickly?!?? It took me like 10 years! In and out of hospitals often!
@@amandakenneally8475 plebs? Really?? Jfc. Like you just said you aren't entitled to info about her health and you have absolutely no clue what variety of meds she took or how long she's taken them for or how long she's suffered to get to this point where she's on a biologic injectable.
As someone who also has chronical illnesses, stop comparing your life and health journey to others - it will do you a world of good.
With that said, hope you have a less painful day today and every other day.
Talking about arthritis injections: Belly skin is SO SO much easier and less painful than the leg! The leg sucks, and I think on Trixie it'd be worse because she doesn't have a ton of extra thigh fat.
Also, I know it's tempting to let David do it but it's best to do it yourself if you can, because another person can't really feel how hard to press. (I promise you barely feel it and the auto injector goes very fast, like literally 10 real seconds and you're done.)
Wait so true I do injections for psoriasis and it’s so easy the first time was actually so scary but by the third time I was so good at it
I have an auto injector for my migraine meds, and the first time doing it I was so terrified I almost passed out. I’ve had medical experience my entire life and give myself b-12 shots once a month bc I have b-12 anemia. But something about the auto injector terrified me that first time! Now I’ve been taking it over 6 months and the only thing that freaks me out is sometimes it leaves a small bruise on my belly. Like a literal gut punch with a needle 😅
YES!! my aunt who’s a nurse told me to not even try to my injections on my thigh cus i barely have any fat on my legs + it’s easier cus you don’t have to grab the skin with one hand like you need to on your leg.
so skinny !
This, I give myself injections every three months and belly is WAY easier than leg.
Literally when Trixie said “one day you’ve eaten your last piece of cheese and you won’t even know it” and I gasped out loud
Trixie fondly reminisces…
the milk in singing in the rain is a myth they achieved the look of the rain through backlighting. Hope that helps us all sleep at night.
Purple curdled rain.
Why can’t you just let me believe this harmless and interesting lie
Every time Trixie talks about not having cheese my Midwestern ass genuinely gasped
My brain just gave me the visual of your ass gasping
“Ass gasp?”
“Gasping ass?”
🤔
CONGRATULATIONS on the Webby, ladies (and production)!!!💝❤💝❤💝❤

David doing the Lord's work introducing Trixie to Hitchcock. We stan.
When Trixie mentioned how bad the vegan babybel cheese was, I SCREAMED in agreement. Why did they do us like that 😭
Oh yes Trixie do the belly skin. It is much easier and hurts less. I have to self-inject for my psoriasis and I was scared of the belly too, but then I figured diabetics have to do this in the belly on a daily basis so I am just gonna do it and it was really crazy how much better it was.
I have a fat belly and was thinking it’s not gonna hurt but then … it was and I got bruise in every location after few weeks it was a daily injection I had barely any good skin left. Only with dr google I discovered that thigh is also approved location. 🎉
@@_barely_awake_ wtf were you twisting the needle every time u put it in? Are you the dad from Titane?
I agree! I’m a diabetic and I rather do my injections in my belly. The shots seem scary at first but when you have to do it for your health it makes it a little easier, and it gets easier each time!

I cannot BELIEVE Katya brought up Fire in the Sky, and I had to sit here and relive one of the most horrific things I've ever seen in any form of media.
the description for this video is the greatest thing i've ever read
LMAO I read this comment and went to the description they are so unserious 😂😂😂
Thank you so much for bringing that to my attention, that description is gold (pun not intended)
Okay! In LA zebra finches aren't that bad of an option, and you are so right to choose them as hands off pets, because they appreciate being loved from far away - You may still need to provide shelter and heater if there is asudden cold snap bc sometimes bird can get used to being really warm, and falls in tempt that are out of season and sudden but no freezing (litteraly freezing) can still kill them from shock
Cole Escola's "Our Home Out West" is the film Katya mentions
thank you!!!! :)
It is an incredible video!
No phones came out 💯
Katya, use coconut cream. Seriously, the BEST creamer ever. Though use Thai coconut milk, I use Savoy, something like Trader Joe's coconut cream is just solids in water. (I'm sure Katya isn't going to read this, but it's seriously a great creamer).
Just to add some perspective on the accessibility of those biologic injections. Enbrel is listed at $1850.46 per 50ml injection in the US- Trixie could be paying $96k/year for this stuff. My care taker can't get a biologic for her rheumatoid arthritis and her joints are permanently disfigured because her insurance won't cover them and they're the best treatment. She used to be a figure skater. This isn't any shade at Trixie for having the privilege to get it, just that it should be more available so regular people aren't permanently disfigured and physically disabled because of socioeconomic status. Biologics are expensive in general in any country, but biologics are the most expensive in the US because our healthcare system is completely fucked up. I also can't get a biologic for my psoriasis though there is a program for that, as I'd need injections like once a month or once every three months or something. Having to inject biologics weekly is crazy pricey.

For Trixie- I've tried so many vegan chocolates and my favorite by far is this brand call 7th heaven's. my fav is the peanut butter chocolate bar.
daily reminder most people on my strange addiction (that are eating strange things like furniture and stuff) have a form of pica, which tends to be a comorbidity to autism and other neurological disabilities
I didn’t know this, good to learn. I don’t watch any of the shows like this and hoarders and the obese people trying to lose weight because it makes me sad and I can’t handle the uncomfortableness.
@@montycas sameee, cause its so clear those shows are using peoples disabilities/addictions for profit, especially since Pica isnt a very well known ED so it tends to be brushed off

As someone who had their gallbladder removed within 24hrs of finding out it was an issue, I get waking up and knowing I'll never have cheese again.
Ask about the Embril auto-injector, so you only have to push a button; plus, the formulation for the auto-injector is supposed to sting less.
As a girlie who had to be gluten and dairy free for a couple months. I recommend gluten free brands: barilla gluten free pasta, Canyon bakehouse, and Three bakers. If you can have dairy but not lactose I highly recommend lactose free dairy options, the brand Green Valley is amazing! Also Mexican food and sushi became my go to for dinners as they are normally have a lot of dairy and lactose free options

Fire in the Sky is such a good movie! Love how the greys are depicted as wearing suits too~ Fantastic!
Trixie I’ve had to give myself shots like that and I was really scared and thought I could never do it but it’s not as bad as I thought! Leaving it in for a few seconds is tough but I just take deep breaths and it’s over quickly. I’m sorry you’ve been in so much pain and I’m glad you have some relief now ❤
You can tell Katya isn't feeling well. Love u gal
She stopped wheezing, something’s wrong!
I just started Enbrel a month ago as well. Dairy and gluten are major histamines for people with inflammatory diseases like arthritis, they increase swelling and stiffness.
Love you both!
Bob was such a delight in the hotel elevator in Mexico City
TRIXIE!! Just sharing my story but I’ve had rheumatoid arthritis since I was 3. I took enbrel injections when my joints were severely inflamed in high school due to ballet and poor diet. They were so painful. Once I changed my diet and paced out my workouts, I didn’t need the injections anymore. For me at least, I think changing up my lifestyle habits definitely helped my arthritis. The injections helped for sure but I didn’t want to be on it long term. Going gluten free and (slightly) dairy free helped so much!
Yes, that fire in the sky scene traumatized me in middle school. So freaking scary and intense!
I saw that scene from fire in the sky when I was a kid and to this day I cannot put in eye drops, core memory forsure

it’s so funny hearing trixie talk about her experiences with arthritis when i’ve gone through the same thing recently. i also took enbrel for months and the injections are no fun!
I know the whole glutten spill from Trixie may sound to some like another L.A. trend but if she was seen by a rheumatologist and got Enbrel it means she actually has an autoimmune condition. I hope she can find resolution of her symptoms with her medication and lifestyle changes

The closer dairy products are to milk, the more lactose is in them, so parmesan and other really old cheeses are basically dry, therefore less lactose! Don't forget about goat and sheep milk products too! Sometimes those are okay too

Pura Vita in LA has amazing vegan - gluten free options - it's Italian.
Glutin free pasta or rice pasta
@@The_Crucible714 I was born in Orange County - hello neighbor. PV is a fully vegan restaurant where they make their own plant based meat substitutes and cheeses. They also make both the glutenous and gluten free pasta in house by hand. While the kitchen is shared so some would consider this not gluten free - the kitchen is cleaned and the glutenous and gluten free pastas are not made at the same time. There is no gluten present when the gluten free doughs are made and they do not share what flours they use to get their gluten free ratio. But gluten free from a restaurant attempting to recreate their 100% semolina pasta faithfully.
I grew up in South America and lived there till I was 27. In all those years I recall having seen only 2 circumcised penises, (and I did see many penises! many!). In both cases, the surgery was perfomed due to medical reasons. I never heard of an acquaintance of mine who suffered urinary infection or anything of the sort... I've been living in Europe for almost 11 years and I have seen only 7 circumcised penises, all of them of Muslim men who had the surgery for religious/cultural reasons (I always asked them why, as kindly and respectfully as I could).
The aversion [many/most] USAamericans feel towards uncircumcised penises is a very interesting socio-cultural phenomenon.
We support you Katya!!!!
