I just got this car early November and I built it online and ordered it early August. The only difference between this one in the video and mine is that I have the black performance run flats and my interior is the black and blue stitching everything else is spot on. This is my second car and before this one was an all black 2019 Mustang GT with the performance package. Now the 5.0 I loved it was a dream car and was amazing and you could imagine how fast and fun it was. Now when I was going for my second car i was either going with my BMW or a Camaro since they are stopping production soon and I do love fast muscle cars. I ended up choosing the BMW to have something different and go German and to see how I like it. Now having it for a few weeks I am happy with my choice. It is surprisingly faster than what I thought it would be for being a sedan, it's not as fast as the 5.0 but it does go. The only downside is the gas, it drinks more than what I thought it would which is annoying since it's not a 5 liter v8 like the Mustang but it's fine. I do like to drive it in sports mode most of the time since I like the feel of it and the acceleration with the pedal is much quicker and I only put it in eco mode when the gas is very low just to save until i fill it up. So far it's comfy, fast, very nice inside and out and I love it.

My 330i is arriving soon! I didn't order it with a power tailgate tho. Does the keyfob come with a trunk button even if you didn't get the option for the power tailgate?
Have you considered doing stage 1 to this car which adds an extra 30hp or something like that. Am considering for myself but I don't know if this can be potentially damaging or have any other negative effects.
Unfortunately it was really cold out and I wanted to be able to focus on the review rather than my temperature lol but will be making more brighter-environment videos from now on!
Are you able to change the steering setting in each mode to make it lighter? I am an Audi user and do feel the same as you. The 3's steering is way too heavy. It doesn't feel more precise than Audi. That is a con for me.
how is the sensatec quality? I'm thinking about sensatec cognac vs alcantara/sensatec combo that comes in M package, but I'm concerned about sensatec longevity/quality + sweating in summer and being cold in winter :)

Great review. I love BMW and drive them since 30 years but I hate those LCD screens. Too distracting and cheap looking. A properly designed dash with moving parts like a Swiss watch is classy and looks more premium. Probably nothing for my generation.
I can understand your thought process on that, my Dad’s also not a fan of the lcd screens because they seem overwhelming but I feel if you’d spend a little time adjusting to the technology, you’d appreciate the visuals and futuristic feel of it. I initially had the same thought process but extremely quickly adapted and started to enjoy the quality and info the screen displays.
@@thenew330i I actually like progress and new tech as I work in IT but when it comes to cars there is something that needs to be pure and alive. The screen just remind me of an iPad and just another screen. Driving cars is emotional and having the screens with all that information takes away the focus. But I do like having an infotainment screen but the dash with moving parts creates a sort of connection between the driver and car. But me and you dad are probably not the main target group and the new generations will appreciate this more. 😁 but thankfully they made the outside great looking again! Enjoy your new car!
Do you find that at low speeds the transmission is a little bit jerky? i have the 330i but without the sport transmission and i find that at low speeds especially from 1st to 2nd the transmission can be jerky and the engine braking a little intrusive
To be honest, my previous car was a 2019 Audi A4 with a DSG transmission and this car shifts unbelievably smooth compared to it, especially at low speeds. Almost seemless.
I went with the new Skyscraper Grey Metallic, Cognac inside, with the black wheels w/ runflats. So far loving the car, I'm waiting for Dinan to put out the ECU flash for it.
Great ! Nice Color! Sheer Driving Pleasure , just more fun, that’s why I chose BMW over A4, S4 with Sport Diff comes close but then a 340i is better and more playful.
Personally, I have the benefit of writing-off leased vehicles so I chose to take advantage of driving a brand new car, but if you don’t have the same benefits and you prioritize power over warranty, I’d get the M340i!

Bro, first of all this car doesn’t have a clutch, that’s why it’s called a torque converter and secondly you don’t have a sport transmission, because if you did the car would have launch control. Please do a little bit of research before making this statements.
I never said the ZF 8 speed has a clutch, I said my 2019 A4 had a DSG which you could feel the clutch engaging and disengaging. And my car does has sport transmission.
No front license plate is an automatic ticket, tinted front plate usually doesn’t warrant a pull-over, and in the very rare occasion that it would, they just request to remove it in-front of them.

The lack of shifter is a huge pro in real world use. It allows much easier access to the cupholders. The older joysticks were just a weird "in between". Its just an electronic joystick but they made it look like an older automatic shifter. Its all electronic a small toggle switch does the same thing and is much less obstructive. The mild hybrid allows it to seemlessly shut off to conserve fuel. Actually gives an 11 hp boost, no loss of power. No difference in real world 0-60 times between the model years. Yes of course!
Have you considered doing stage 1 to this car which adds an extra 30hp or something like that. Am considering for myself but I don't know if this can be potentially damaging or have any other negative effects.
Stage 1 tune would gain like 60hp but I still have factory warranty for another years so I want to wait until it’s done
Thanks for sharing but it would been nice to have the review in a more light environment than a dark garage.
Unfortunately it was really cold out and I wanted to be able to focus on the review rather than my temperature lol but will be making more brighter-environment videos from now on!

you can adjust the steering in each mode
Yes of course, but in comfort mode the steering is still twice as stiff as my A4.
Are you able to change the steering setting in each mode to make it lighter? I am an Audi user and do feel the same as you. The 3's steering is way too heavy. It doesn't feel more precise than Audi. That is a con for me.
@@christong88 it’s also a bit heavy for my liking but the steering definitely feels a but more precise than my 2019 Audi A4

Thank you!!
One thing I hate about this car is the new chime they added, it sounds ass. Can you change it somehow?
Not from factory but you can change it to the M3/M4 chime through coding the OBD
how is the sensatec quality? I'm thinking about sensatec cognac vs alcantara/sensatec combo that comes in M package, but I'm concerned about sensatec longevity/quality + sweating in summer and being cold in winter :)
I’m unsure of how well they age but I’ve had no problems with them being too cold in the winter thus far!
@@thenew330i Cool, thanks for the reply! how is the softness/seating quality and built quality? Does it look rigid or too gentle?

I have had the 330e xdrive touring LCI, M-sport pro package, dravit grey color for 1 month now. Absolutely love it. My only complaints would be the fuel consumption and the heavy steering feel.
Dravit Grey is an incredible colour!! The gold spec in the sunlight is addicting to look at!

To be honest, I haven't found much of a difference at all other than the rear-wheel drive bias is a bit more predominant on the 3 series!

Beautiful Spec! The cognac interior is extremely classy and the skyscraper grey is so dynamic in and out of the sun.

Lol your dark front license plate. At that point why even have it installed in the front 😂
No front license plate is an automatic ticket, tinted front plate usually doesn’t warrant a pull-over, and in the very rare occasion that it would, they just request to remove it in-front of them.

Cons
No shifter
Mild hybrid - loss of power
Too much LED screen.
I love my 2020 m340i, best model to date.
Too much LED screen? You obviously havent spent much time with idrive 8. Carplay looks awesome, wide screen album art, maps etc. Apple car play maps show up in the gauge cluster. Just a huge improvement over my wifes 2022 X5 with all the outgoing tech.
I agree the screen is a bit big but it definitely has a “wow” factor anytime someone gets in my car, and I love the large map function.
