Hi I have a top spec 7550 with top of the range Xeon and RTX GPU, second PC which has given in. Continuous fan issues and throttling as well as blue screen and CPU management. Had everything replaced internally . PC is a disaster. Funny thing is when on Battery it was fine but using power plug and a DOCK with dual USBC connection - wd19 DC it gave endless problems Can you tell me what is the main difference between a 7550 and 7560 besides CPU and WIN 11 or do I just accept that the Precision range is a disaster and get an XPS
Hello everyone, I have some good news about the processor. I purchased a 7560 with i9-11950H, RTX A3000, and 64 GB 3200 MHz ram. In the three weeks I have owned the device, I have not experienced *any* thermal throttling at all. A full 10-minute multi-core run on cinebench landed the processor at 3.71-3.72 GHz for the last 8 minutes or so, with the first 90 seconds decreasing from ~4 GHz. In fact, after the initial start-up, the fans decreased in speed! It still had extra thermal control if it needed it. Gaming has been flawless, with very high utilization of both GPU and CPU, again with zero throttling behavior. I'm not sure if I got a lucky machine, but maybe Dell fixed these issues. I am beyond pleased with the performance of my precision 7560 - it has exceeded my expectations.
Nice review ,i need a computer for stabiliy, good CPU, no thermal problems. maybe laptop can be used for 08:00 am to 20 pm for financial data programs , nearly all day. So stabiliy is so important. i need 11/12 th i7 H series CPU. what is your favourite laptop ? Dell 7560 ,HP Zbook Fury G9, Zbook Power G9 , Legion 5 Pro intel versions. or can you give any another advice?
Want to ask you about resulting speed of two gen 4 ssds under Raid in this as in ThinkPad it operates in gen 3?...also have you checked bolt 4 of either of 77 or 75...?...
@@BsianTech I personally don't think about your accent since I've been watching so many foreign shows (I'm in US) for years that I just don't notice. Not till someone mentions it.
What would be better: the Xeon 11855 6 core or 11955 8 core for best single core performance for CAD, light model rendering, Finite elestic analysis structure modelling
Not officially yet, off the books, when I asked why the 5760 and the 7560 with i9 performance was so similar yet the 5560 was awful throttling, I was told it was due to the new enhanced cooling solution in the 5760 which is different to the 5560. In your case which dGPU did you get @Maz?
Hi, thanks for the review, I didn't succed to find the NVIDIA RTX A3000 TGP value for the Precision 7560. NVidia asked to the OEM to give that information, because the video card exists from 60W to 130W TGP versions. Could you check that :-) ? Thanks in advance.
@Stephane Burgarella, that information is extremely hard to find even for me. Instead I will give you the separate actual readings of power consuming instead. When the A3000 is at 100% on the Precision 7560 it reads max Board Power Draw at 49.2W and GPU Chip Power Draw at 36.5W. I hope that information will help you out.
Thanks Onitiu Vasile, I might do a bit of both mix =) my usual throw it around, I do get satisfaction out of it and I will also do neat unboxings as well (which is what I normally do at work).
This is due to the MMIO power limits, and can be fixed with ThrottleStop 9.4: go to the FIVR menu, and check the 'disable and lock turbo power limits' checkbox. @BsianDad
It would be very interesting to know if DELL can confirm if/which CPU is not throttling... My bet is i7-11850H and Xeon W-11855H may be ok, not sure for higher specs. Also @BsianDad , in your full review, can you please look at battery life when just doing "word/powerpoint-like" operations... Number crunching is not always 24/7 and reporting and paper is something people may do on the move using the same machine.
Thanks for the review. I never understood the major difference between the 7760 and this one except for the screen size? Is the cooling better on 7760 or do we get more configuration options on the 17in one :/
The i9 isn't doing too well, even with the good thermal solution in this Precision 7560, even after the chats with Dell, I would say stay clear of i9 and stick with i7 or Xeons.
Waiting for that for so lang. Thanks. Looking forward to the review!
K Yang waiting for so lang
More to come K Yang =).
Any news from DELL about processor stability (i9-11950H) running multicore stress test?
Is the problem was solved bro?
Thanks for the comparison with the 5560!

Great to hear your good experience on the Precision 7560, especially the i9 version.
@BsianDad Why the huge difference between the two A3000 3D results? Thank you.
the slot you don't know, I guess it's the WANN slot for SIM card and 4G internet.
Thanks @Captain Curk, after the unboxing I looked at the documentation and found that information too. Thank you for helping out =)

How can I get one of this in Guyana south America,
How about it's heating issue ? I believe this much powerful machine will produce a lot heat.

Is there any word from Dell on the issue of the frequency drop on multi core?
What do you say in the beginning as intro? Haha, that sounds so smooth but I could never make out what is it...
"g'day everyone, my name is Bsiandad..." he's from Oz.
Thanks एड्वर्ड कॅस्ट्रो =), sorry the playing with wallabies as kid made me mumble a bit =) @Price Cruise.

@@BsianTech Hahaha, you're awesome. Thanks.
Please, make sure to make a thermal throttling test! 🙏🏻
What would be better:
the Xeon 11855 6 core
or
11955 8 core for best single core performance for CAD, light model rendering, Finite elestic analysis structure modelling
I'm leaning towards 11855 as the base clock is 3.2ghz
Higher clock is better
Christopher, I would be suggesting the same go with the W-11855M as it would have higher single core base clock over the W-11955M.
Is the problem was solved bro?
wow! I was getting ready to slap down some serious coin for the 5760 with the same chip. Not now. Zero bang for lots of bucks.
Can I buy dell 7760 with i9 11950 and 64GB ram and rtx a3000?
Hi mate. Did you hear from Dell yet. I just ordered this Dell model with core i9 and I am worried.

Will this play high-end games like FIFA and GTA V?
Yes it can =)
I like the new calm unboxing. I was not a fan of the throwing. Keep up the good work!

Very disappointing thermal throttling behavior. I actually was eyeing this machine for quite a bit. Do we know if this is an issue with the i9 only??
I have 7560 with i7 11850H and there is no throttling problem.
Thanks TXHOUSA for confirming that throttling issues isn't in the i7 version which is what I suspected and can still recommend people to buying.

17 inch got better configs ie 4k120hz display
and then we have "......" and then we have a mysterious slot folks ... :D
Me quedo todo claro...
Campare it to the competing thinkpads
Disappointing CPU perf under load.

A workstation without a trackpoint!!
😘😘😘
Whenever a reviewer says thanks to the laptop manufacturer, you won't get an honest review
Sorry if you feel that way. I'll let all my videos and reviews on my channel if people watch them demonstrate my opinion.
garbage thermals .... bad bad bad Dell!
