Dell's product range is way too complicated with lots of overlapping models and specs. The Precision range now look cheap and has lost that premium edge using the XPS chasis. Would prefer something slimmer and lighter that resembled the old Precision M4800.... square looking and black.
I have used an M4800 and it's a great Workstation. Just very big and heavy for a 15". Though mine did thermal and current throttle under sustained heavy load.. yes I'm excited
I am from Korea.
In Korea, Dell Precision only sells low specs.
So I bought it in the US.
But I have been living in America since 4 years ago.
I'm happy. God america
I can easily buy Dell Precision high-spec!
Love Dell, Love Apple
thank you for your video
Good explanation. Thank you.
Glad it was helpful!
Damn i just realised that Dell don't have the left/right buttons, Dell's are incorporated into the keyboard which is touch sensitive. Mine cannot be touch sensitive, that's a huge blow as I really do not want another Lenovo...
Are you talking about the TrackPoint "eraser head" that Lenovo uses on their notebooks?
@@MichaelOHanian Yeah thats correct, i must have the TrackPoint in order for me to operate my PC due to my disabiity, I also require the left and right click buttons, not the ones that respond via finger touch.
@@MichaelOHanian Dell also have them with the TrackPoint's, but i don't think Dell have the Right/Left click buttons.
I think Dell operates their Right/Left click by touch only...
Am thinking of upgrading from a latitude 5580 to a Precision….
I am a huge Precision fan. We are in a collaboration world, system performance is important.
Your thoughts … Dell is selling a Precision 7550 for 1369.00 normal cost 3442.00 or is the New Precision 3561 for 1439.00 the best deal ?
very usefull, thanks !
You're welcome!
I don't know why I feel guilty pleasure for watching expensive electronic which I can't afford 😩
Many of these units OVERHEAT like crazy, FAN would die due to non-stop revving, and the CPU performance would be throttled. Many of these units use CHEAP plastic, nowadays, instead of magnesium alloy.
I bought one 7760 fully equipped, Xeon, 128 GB RAM, and 14TB (3x 4TB and 1x 2TB SDD Crucial P5+), i'll receive the next week, i will feel the power of a heavy duty truck, i will use on data science, artificial intelligence, and FEA, hehehe i'm feeling as Brain (from Pinky and the Brain)
LOL. Make sure you check out Dell Data Science Workstation page www.delltechnologies.com/en-us/ai-technologies/index.htm There are some great DSW utilities developed by Dell and NVIDIA. Thank you for choosing Dell!
The current 7 series models are a great replacement. They keep high clocks under sustained heavy load, while being somewhat stylish and "small".
