Yes, here created resources are assigned to the activities in XER since Resource ID column in excel sheet is filled with created ID's (T1, T2 & T3) respectively...

Hi sir, I am working on a base plan of highway project with around 500 activities. I need to load multiple resources types with multiple budgeted quantities against each activity. Say earthwork in embankment will attract excavator, dumper, grader, vibrio roller, water tanker, borrowed earth etc. each having different budgeted resources quantities and different BOQ quantities as well. How to do this by excel export and import? Your kind support will help me a lot.
Hi, Followed step by step. While importing the file, an error is occurring which is as below- The User Preferences used to create this Excel file are not the same as your current preferences. Importing this file could corrupt your data. Please refer to Help for more information about importing data from Excel. Are you sure that you want to continue? Can you pls help me out in this?
I try this method too but idk in articles which i read dont recommend this method because it can cause some errors.thats why i always assign resources one by one in p6 not using excel
I got it..For every new resource copy and paste the respective activities again and again...What if I put “comma” inbetween adding second resource in the same cell of the column( adding two resources inside same cell with comma in between)
Can you please explain how to import the "Resource Names" because the exported excel file has an Asterix (*) in the Resource Name field and is therefore "Un-editable" and ignored by P6 during import.

Hi, First export the schedule into excel to get the right format and then import post entering the data into the excel sheet.

Yes, It is like normal import only, File > Import > Select Spreadsheet-(XLS).

I have already tried to import it but the NEW resources wont add to the resource list on P6.
