Very well explained, appreciated. My suggestion to focus mostly on field related topics Like how to prepare the change log during updating the program, 3 weeks lookahead, how to inform PM for the delay activities , something like flags. Recovery schedule EOT claims and revised schedule
It works only if the percentage complete type is Duration. If it's physical you must update Unit percent compete as well along with Actual regular units / Actual units too.
Hello Faraz and Michael, Can you please help me in solving this issue. After putting the actual dates, when I exported back excel file into P6, all 100% competed activities in the update period are not taking the actual start and actual finish dates. 100% completed activities are taking plan start and plan finish date. In progress activities are ok.
If you follow the steps with the correct formatting and data, the date should usually import successfully. Please double-check the data you've imported and pay close attention to every detail during the process.
When the % Complete type field is set to "Physical" in P6, it will not automatically calculate the Remaining Duration. Therefore, you must manually enter the Remaining Duration.

GOOD
You don't need to add the REMAINING DURATION because P6 will automatically calculate it
When the % Complete type field is set to "Physical" in P6, it will not automatically calculate the Remaining Duration. Therefore, you must manually enter the Remaining Duration.
