I was never into building models when I was younger, but LOVED looking at dioramas as a kid. Watching you and North of the Border, it's made me want to try my luck at it. It's crazy how a bunch of random bits and bobs can make a sick looking pod racer, and how big of a difference paint and washes can make. Nice work! May the fourth be with you.
The way you pieced this together for me was glorious to behold. Usually its the electrical bits that take your builds to the next level, but in this case it was just getting to see your creativity unleashed and on full display. Most people would've just 3d printed out their model, so to see you show the merits of doing things the old fashioned way, was just awesome.
WOW! Just Wow! The fact that you put this all together with just a box of scraps just shows, that you're the chosen one to destroy the sith and bring balance to the force.
I'm honestly blown away. I love how this turned out! The red and blue LED wire combining to make a purple glow honestly surprised me because of who well it worked.
Building outside the box is so awesome! I loved how your tractor became a pod racer! The whole idea of creating a pod racer from other parts, has to be the core thought in the Star Wars universe. They built from parts they had. So this kit bashing is so appropriate! Great job!
Love how the plasma turned out! Those two filaments blended together perfectly, but when you look right at them you can still see distinct colors. Hopefully the other racers let the wookie win😬
I've seen a lot of pod racers, this one is one of my favorites. I'm the same way. I love to build kits the way they were intended but kit bashing is just so creative and fun too 😀
It`s so extraordinary to realize how human mind can create a whole project of something from one simple image inside head. Thanks for video, pod looks fabulous.
Honestly I was having a rough day at work and I am sad that it is star wars day and I am stuck here but this video brought a huge smile on my face. Thank you for all you do and also sharing your patrons work it was cool seeing other peoples creativity! Keep up the great work that puts smiles on the faces of your viewers
While there are many great makers here on youtube, you sir really take the cake with simple realism. Without having the builds be either way to big or confusing. Loving it.
I’d love nothing more in the world right now than to just sit down with you and build a Star Wars kit. I love your videos and you’re so fun to listen to and watch it would be a real dream come true. I’d give up all the Star Wars “rewards” in place of that quality time. I love the work !
Your star wars videos are always a treat. Most of all, though, I love how seamless your kit bashing skills are. Everything looks as though it is designed from scratch, more so than taken from existing parts. Awesome work, my friend.
Love the idea of a wookie podracer. Kaarshel the wookie racer who built his pod from salvaged parts after the battle of endor. Built from speeder bikes and ATST scrap powered with Twin ion engines from a downed tie with matching air fins. Keep up the great work.
At first I thought the the purple lighting was too bright to appreciate the effort you put in. But then realised you've got two models in one; with and without the lighting. Day/night, race/garage. Damn cool.
Another masterpiece :) Really love all the details on those engines, they turned out really awesome! Also, who would've thought that a tractor would be such a good parts pack for a pod racer...
💡Here's an idea for next year's Podracer: Host a 'challenge' where everyone builds a kitbashed model using mostly a copy of the same kit. For example everyone uses this tractor kit & the resulting podracer must be majority (& discernibly so) parts of that kit. Lots to deal with in real life, but your short videos are a welcome check-out time. Not only has your channel inspired me to dig out some of my old hobby stuff, but got me really laughing out loud!
I think what sets dioramas apart from being good to great, is if you can get or create a story by just looking at it. I agree, it has always tickled my imagination as well.
I have been so utterly impressed by your skill in this hobby. You have obviously been doing this a long time and make it all look effortless. Thank you for sharing this with us.
I really liked how the twisted up LEDs turned out, would never have put them that loose and with so much gaps between them but it worked great and gives it a lot of energy and movement
i didnt grow up watching star wars, but in recent years ive grown to love the world and characters and can finally see just how amazing and creative the community is. i found your channel after watching studson studios last year and absolutely love everything you make and do, keep it up :)
My 8 year old son wants to build a "real" pod racer. We stumbled on this video while in the process of design. (Currently a bicycle with chicken wire frame and pvc to hold on some kind of engine system... God help me.) Super impressed with the creativity and resourcefulness here! Models may be his next passion... Thank you
The ability to look at one thing and imagine how, with some creativity, it can become another is what makes this modeler special (as well as his skillful execution).
This was amazing, to see how the people in the studios made the original models, kit bashing from what they had laying around. I've gotten into more Star wars build and am finally trying LED's, happy belated star wars day and look forward to more videos
Just as modeling as the kit intends is art, kit bashing is also a very creative form of art. Love the videos! They inspire me to start kit bashing my own models!
I'm liking this build more and more. The thought of a wookie racer is a cool idea. I'm just getting back into model building after 25 years away, and the whole kit bash idea is really getting my imagination going again. Keep up the great work. Thanks for the inspiration. Eric
I liked how just simply turning the engine cowling upside down made it look so much different. How one simple change made it look like a whole different thing
I really enjoy how carefree you work and how imaginative you are! I apparently have add and cannot allow myself to not fill and sand seams and parting lines but your stuff looks great! Nice work
This gives me such a satisfying feeling watching this like I just want to put on some John Fruciante and watch this for hours. Funnily enough it’s actually what I’m doing
I’ve always kept little bits and pieces to do stuff like this but I’ve never really gotten into it. This channel makes me feel like I can actually do it.
Twisting a red and blue LED noodle makes sense but I would have never thought of that for some reason. I didn't think the light would mix, or something. This video really inspired me to try to kitbash/scratch build my own podracer... Maybe in the near future!
This looks exceptional! I love idea of a Wookiee being a pod racer. Maybe he gave up his warrior ways to live a life of thrilling chases on Mos Espa after freeing himself from slavery.
Always cool to see how you use LED filaments to bring your dioramas to life! I hope they come out with a wider variety of smaller options, especially that you can cut somehow!
I'm glad theres all of the wowey over May the fourth as it's my wedding anniversary! So being a big fan of my both celebrations only thing that might go wrong is the restaurant tables being booked by fans out celebrating ! May the fourth be with you !
I just found your channel last night reccomended to me through the model train layout you did for your wilder west universe, and now I'm just binging through everything you got. I've already been working with and painting models for over 2 years, but you've genuinely inspired me to start doing more kitbashing and perhaps dioramas. Keep up the good work, boss, you're a joy to watch.
Never Stop Inspiring! I appreciate your attention to composition to make your dioramas less 'flat' such as adding the elevation to the pod where the wookie sits. Dimension adds interest to the work and creates a sense of motion not always seen by others! Well Done!

@@benwyness148 thank you!
@@Robare69 congrats, i wanted it a bit but congrats.
The use of lighting LEDs and Ewire are really what makes this channel so interesting and takes the models to that next level!
That and modpodge lol
Happy friendaversary! And as Eric says, "May Three Fourth be Fifth you."
I’m a fan of your channel, Studson Studio. You guys are an inspiration to those with creative minds. Keep up the good work. 👍🏼❤️😊
Who is Eric? Is he a drummer?
Just imagine his Wookiee hair blowing in the wind.
Imagine trying to get the sand out of it!
The led light really brings it to life . Fantastic work mate again. 👏

Now, THIS is Podmaking! I love seeing your builds alongside the patrons' what a talented community!
The last time I built a kit model I was still a youngling, seeing your videos has made me want to pick it back up again! Happy Star Wars day!
May The 4th Be With You
Hmm a youngling I see anikan would like to know your location.
DEW IT.
WOW! Just Wow! The fact that you put this all together with just a box of scraps just shows, that you're the chosen one to destroy the sith and bring balance to the force.
The level of detail is crazy!!! I can’t believe you even put lenses in those tiny goggles! You are a master of your craft.😊

This has got to be my favorite Podracer that you've built. Loved the inclusion of others made by your community.
I always love the toggle switches just chilling on the side of the base. Looks so industrial and so star warsy, great work!
I think the podracers are one of the best design concepts in Star Wars and this build totally shows why. Really well done

Awesome build, really detailed and a great inspiration. You are my favorite diorama maker and I love the stuff you do

I always loved the look of pod racers! Great job with this build Boylei!🔥
I did not expect the red and blue filament combo to turn out so good of a purple! Awesome as always Boylei!

This was unreal, the creativity and attention to scale is spot on
I love the sheer flexibility in making pod racers. I realize that's true of a lot of things, but they feel almost like a creativity palette cleanser.
The entire model is impressive and I could easily see Disney selling a model like that. Great work!
I can’t

S tier level content.
Your ability to make random parts come together to make a seemingly preplanned design is amazing. So glad I subscribed.

It just amazed me how well you executed the kitbashing to make something that could genuinely be in Star Wars! Excellent Job!
The creativity to see how the small kitbashed pieces can become an engine astonished me.
I’m amazed that you can create such a detailed model from bits and pieces of random parts and a tractor. Makes me want to buy a model kit myself!
I love the creativity it takes to kitbash. And its always one of a kind which makes it that much better.
So cool! The lighting lends a final touch, but the strength of the build is in maintaining the ethos began by the original Star Wars model builders
Love the electric coupling. Those colours give a ghost busters feeling
Imagination is the Force we need to make life fun. You show the force is with you. Keep the dreams coming
I absolutely love how you use the light in your dioramas. Gives them so much life.
It is just unbelivable how good and identicle it looks to the original, it looks like its straight out of the movies
What a treat for Star Wars Day and what a great kitbash! Love the way the plasma binders turned out.
Your use of extra parts from other models, as well as the models support framework, is super clever!!! I dig it!!

Lovely to see you show off the traditional method of creating new ships!
Amazing build and love that you built it out of junk and a tractor
This channel is inspiring me to beat depression and start crafting again. Thank you.
I haven't put a model kit together since I was a kid, but every vid I watch of yours puts me one greebly closer.

The things that came out of your ideas are always mind boggling. I wish I'd have half of your imagination and vision.
really cool kit bash. I have yet to try it but I have been collecting the extra bits from my models to hopefully make something exciting.
Saw my first star wars film in 1980, been in love ever since. I love watching ur videos. Very very creative.
I really enjoy how carefree you work and how imaginative you are! I apparently have add and cannot allow myself to not fill and sand seams and parting lines but your stuff looks great! Nice work

4:25 oh my oh my. those old lego pirates sets. brigns back many memories
Beautiful design, fits perfectly with the movies. The pod reminds me of Rey's speeder.
Great build, huge Star Wars fan here. Love the combo of blue and red to obtain that purple glow. Flawless!
Watching these hobby videos always makes me want to follow in the same footsteps; thank you for the newfound content 🙏 .
One of the best kitbashings I've seen, giving me inspiration to combine starwars and gundam models.
getting the purple light by twisting the red and blue gives it that perfect scrappy podracer look :D
Twisting a red and blue LED noodle makes sense but I would have never thought of that for some reason. I didn't think the light would mix, or something. This video really inspired me to try to kitbash/scratch build my own podracer... Maybe in the near future!
Your videos are so therapeutic. The calm voice and a beautiful piece of art combine to make such a nice experience
Kit bashing is amazing I love to see what people make, I started watching Adam savage and loved it ever since
You have a great eye for finding just the right pieces for your kitbashes!
By the end of the video I'd forgotten that this ever used to be a tractor, amazing skills to be able to create something like this!
it is crazy how it turn from a tractor into a extremly nice racer.
There's something about making star wars vehicles that's just so satisfying
Fantastisch was man mit viel Fantasie aus einem Porsche Traktor alles machen kann.
Love the link between the build and the original models from the film. Kitbashing, you gotta love it!
Thanks for all you do. I must admit, the idea of kit bashing would be so much fun, but I can't bring myself to do it with any actual model kits.
love the kitbash on this one! even though you know it is supported by those wires, it looks like it's floating! great job!
I love the way you use LEDs in your projects. it always takes them to a new level
This looks exceptional! I love idea of a Wookiee being a pod racer. Maybe he gave up his warrior ways to live a life of thrilling chases on Mos Espa after freeing himself from slavery.
Always love the deceptively simplicity of the builds!
I knew about kit bashing, but this video showcasing your method is so cool! It’s got me excited about models again!
Always cool to see how you use LED filaments to bring your dioramas to life! I hope they come out with a wider variety of smaller options, especially that you can cut somehow!

I liked the use of red and blue LEDs for the plasma stream. Very clever!
I’m impressed every time I watch one of your videos! You are motivation and inspiration for my crafting/modeling. I love kit bashing!!!
Podracing is one of my favorite parts of SW. I wish there was a lot more podracing focused canon content.
Never Stop Inspiring! I appreciate your attention to composition to make your dioramas less 'flat' such as adding the elevation to the pod where the wookie sits. Dimension adds interest to the work and creates a sense of motion not always seen by others! Well Done!
Love the Star Wars models you come up with. Can't wait to see more of your ideas or selected scenes come to life.
