Happy Star Wars day, everyone! This week I participated in a collaboration with some very talented crafters to celebrate May 4th. Studson Studio, Bill Making Stuff, Eric’s Hobby Workshop, Scratch Bashing, and I had the challenge of creating an original, kit-bashed pod racer.

To me the rectangles protect the engines when bumping in either offense or defense. It also create a great geometric contrast to all the oval shapes.
I thought of them as bug zappers so the engines wouldn’t get mucked up with giant alien insects.
I know, at first the squaee tubing looked out of place with the round/oval engines, but if you think of them as "bumpers" or ram bars, then it makes perfect sense.

Those Bantha Bars on your Pod Racer are a must-have when competing in the Gundam Wastes; hitting an adult Bantha a full speed can total an engine, unless you have some reinforcement like that.
This is a great build; really unique, and threatening.
I like the two drift-compatible pilot setup. Maybe one controls each engine as a left brain right brain sorta thing.
The 1 in the front is the pilot, the one in the rear is the navigator, like older airplanes?

NOTB was the first craft channel I watched, led to studson with the voice over switch, then on to the pod racing crossovers and back to NOTB. The cycle is complete
It's so stylish. At first this square-type things in the front looked bizzare, but at the end it looks just right.
6:20 you could call one of them the navigator, but really he just spends most of the time screaming in terror. Over all a great addition.

In my opinion, you made the best podracer, you made it gritty, yet tamed/architectural, and most importantly functional. can be used as lamp on a desk or a living room center piece.

Star Wars Racers Nostalgia. I still remember I was obsessed about building my own podracer as a kid.
It is so cool how you can make such awesome stuff out of so many different things.
The hot glue on the lights is really clever. I will definitely be using that in the future

Amaze!!! I like how it turned out. I am very pleased with all of the podracers. Each in their own way. Ofcourse i have my favorite. (By Bill Making Stuff) but the finish is close. Very well done guys. I am very impressed by all your skills, different styles, materials and stories for your own creations. And what i like most. I think you all teach very well what we can do, inspire that we can do it too. And recycle stuff or use materials. What would have been garbage other wise. 👍👍👍
