Thanks again for the great video Shelley. I already have 4 knitting machines and really don't want to buy a sentro 40 needles, so I will try this on my prym maxi 44 needles. Should be a good in between size. ☺
Some people like them. I prefer the 32 or 40 needle width. (Sentro) I don’t have a 22 needle headband on hand to measure. Sorry. I think that size is great for kids.
I know I am being a bug..hahah I used my yarn which I got with my machine...a beige and a grey...it melts like butter..so soft and guess what each only gave me 38 rows each...now the big question..it it very stretchy and my head circumference is 21inches...it should fit right?
@@lapynshaisohkhlet5037 sorry, I do not post row counts. It’s not fair to those who make videos. It is a different amount of rows for every size. UA-cam is your best friend!
You would use the same amount of rows that I tell you in the video. I don’t like my row counts posted here so I am directing you back to the video. Hope that makes more sense to you.
Less rows doesn’t make it narrower. Less rows makes it shorter around. Click on playlists on my channel and find the red and white headband or the lace headband. They are made in such a way that you can make it as narrow or wide as you want it.
I do not know. I’d have to see what you are doing. If it’s at the end of your project and you have not caught the stitches before taking your project off that would be the reason. If you are new, watch some of my videos. Pick one and follow exactly what I do. That way you will catch where it’s going wrong.
After you get done making your twisted head band do you have to use waste yarn because all of the youtube videos i came across they use waste yarn can you do it without it
You have to use something to hold the stitches if you are going to sew a flat edge after you remove it from the machine. Here is a video of an alternate way. ua-cam.com/video/Py9PrJpfs4A/v-deo.html
About how long is the tube after casting off on the machine? I’m new to this and don’t have a counter but feel I could keep better track by a rough measurement of how long to make my tube.

My sister first bought a sentro and sent it back because it was crap. She bought the 2 addi machines instead, and that's what I bought. Better built
Yes they are. No question. The price reflects it.
Bellissimo♥ grazie per il video!
Love, love, love your channel & FB page. If using the 40 pin will the headband fit an adult? I also have the 48 pin both Sentro. Thanks. 😊
The 40 needle is great for an adult. I find the 46 and 48 too wide.
The 40 is perfect!!😍
Shelley Excellent video
😊 thank you
Finally someone explained it the way I do understand. Thank you. Do you think I could to it on addi 46? ❤
Yes you could. It’s a wider headband and I prefer the narrower but many love the width that the 46 does.
Very helpful! Thank you.

Wonderful! 😊
I’m thinking about getting an Addi Express. Do you think using it for headbands would make them too narrow? I’m hoping for 4” wide. Thanks!

Love your tutorials. On the addi 22 band how many rows do you knit without waist yarn?
Thank you! You would knit the same amount that you would with any other machine. It’s just the width that is different.
Hi, I am new to this. I have a question. Why does my tube unravel, while turning the machine? Thank you.

New to your channel curious what you are using to hold the machine from moving all over the place. Thank you
If you scroll down through the videos on my channel you will see a video on how I use my Addi clamps to hold down my Sentro.
About how long is the tube after casting off on the machine? I’m new to this and don’t have a counter but feel I could keep better track by a rough measurement of how long to make my tube.
Every 5 rows is approximately 1” on the machines with regular tension. If we do the math it’s Approximately 18” unstretched.
How about a 48 when I make it on my 48 pin they are big how many stiches should I make it fit a little smaller
I think a headband on a 48 needle would be too wide. I find it too wide on the 46 as well. Sorry!
40 needles is perfect, in my opinion.
Thank you for this! What legs did you add to this please
Thank you. What legs ?
On the sentro. It looks like addi legs
Yes, I clamp down my Sentro with the Addi clamps.
Scroll through my videos. I show you what I do. 😊
