    Nancy, you are the best teacher! I'm in my 60s with no knowledge of knitting, but of all the beginner videos, you are the only one who cares enough to go slowly and explain very well. My goal is to teach my 11 yr old granddaughter in order to bond with her. However, I have a long way to go! Thank you so much for your help. ❤

    So wat would happen if u went behind of all the hooks of the sentro knitting machine

    • @GiftsHQ
      @GiftsHQ  4 місяці тому

      If you are behind all the hooks, the needle would not be able to loop the yarn, and it would not knit correctly. Although there are some projects where you can loop two notches to make a different type of stitch.

    Love this video! About how long does 90 rows/rounds wind up being?

    • @GiftsHQ
      @GiftsHQ  Місяць тому

      Hi Jacobi! Thank you so much for watching my video. I’m so glad you loved it! 😊 The length of 90 rows (or rounds) can vary depending on a few factors, like the yarn you're using and how tight or loose the knitting tension is. On my Sentro or Addi knitting machine, when I use a standard medium-weight yarn, 90 rows typically create a tube that's about 16 to 18 inches long.
      Keep in mind, if you’re using thinner yarn, the tube might be a little longer, and if you’re using thicker yarn, it might be shorter. Adjusting the tension on your machine can also make a difference. I hope this helps. - Nancy ❤

    Hi thank you for sharing this headband how much do you sell them for if you don’t mind by asking thank you

    • @GiftsHQ
      @GiftsHQ  5 місяців тому

      Hi Gloria, I don't sell them and just make them for family and friends. I have seen others sell them for $10.00 and up. Some embellish them with ribbon or buttons, giving them a higher price value. Good luck!

    How did you use your counter?

    • @GiftsHQ
      @GiftsHQ  10 місяців тому

      The magnetic row counter is the easier one to use. It has two pieces with magnets, and when they meet at the end of each row, it will display the new row number. You can pick one up from Amazon, and they are pretty low priced and worth the investment

    In your casting off video, I think you picked up stitches from inside to outside and in this one it looks like you were picking up stitches from outside to inside. Does it really matter which direction you go?

    You do not need to pick up your stitches at the end of your work when you're using waste yarn. Just turn the crank until the work falls off. Just saying.

    • @GiftsHQ
      @GiftsHQ  Рік тому +7

      Hi Niecy C! You are absolutely correct. I don't know what I was thinking in that video. Maybe it was to show beginners how to cast off the regular way (without waste yarn). But yes, with waste yarn you could simply cast off by cranking at the end till it falls off. My husband saw the comment first and told me. I was like why the heck did I pickup the stitches? I even told him, I didn't pickup the stitches with waste yarn. Then he showed me the video. True story. Oh well, but you are absolutely correct when it comes to the waste yarn and casting off. Thank you so much for watching my videos and catching that one. - Nancy ❤
