Give the official video a watch, It's a fun video and you will see the bag pipes being played.
100%!
There’s video of them playing on a truck bed riding down Swanson St in Melbourne, AU! Either lots of bagpipes! And another vid on an Aussie TV teen dance show.
Three band members were from Scotland originally. Bon , Malcom and Angus.
Yes!!! That was awesomeness!!!
Love it! 🎸🇺🇸
Back in the day we used to sing, It's a long way to the shop if you want a sausage roll...lol
Bon Scott was unbelievable! Loved AC/DC when Bon Scott was lead singer.I am a 72 y.o., Aussie female and I think Bon Scott was and always will be the lead singer of AC/DC! No-one compares! He is playing the bagpipes, so there!
He got asked if he had really played in a Scottish marching band when he was younger and admitted he had. Just no-one asked him what instrument. From memory it was the drum (snare I think) he played, them suddenly found himself volunteered to play the bagpipes. So he bought a set and learnt how to play them.
Damn straight 🤘
When the bagpipes came in, the expression on your face was great. Then you gave a little head nod and I'm like "ya, that's right get into it". Second time the pipes played you started moving a little more. Now that you know it's bagpipes listen again and get into it, enjoy man!
Yes, this is AC/DC with Bon Scott. Yes, Bon is playing the bagpipes. I read a comment to this song one time from another reactor. It said you can’t play bagpipes in a rock ‘n’ roll song , Bon Scott says hold my beer and watch and listen to this.😂 loved that comment. I absolutely love AC⚡️DC and this song. you have to watch the video It’s great.❤️✌️🌼
One of the top three concerts ever caught on video is ACDC live in Paris with Bon singing and Angus at the top of his game, it's pretty incredible.
😮😮 Bon Scott dressed as a minister singing Let There be Rock, Nothing better!!
yes its a bagpipe, and Bon is playing it
Bon Scott era is the best... I might be partial because I was a teenager at that time. Try dirty deeds done dirt cheap and Then try ...big balls...then TNT
Agree 100%!!
Should have done the original video but thank you for playing the song Bon Scott and others on bagpipes
The first singer was Dave Evans, in 1973. The second singer was Bon Scott and they were able to get big enough for a record contract, and after a few years of touring, they got popular worldwide, just before Bon died, and Brian (3rd singer) took over, brilliantly.
You have to do the version where the band is riding around in the back of a pickup truck in AU. Bagpipes!
Guitars and bagpìpes...no one does it better than AC/DC....p.s. your expression when the bagpipes started up was priceless! 😂
Lol, loved your face when the bag pipes played. Was in in primary school when this came out. We used to sing It's a Long Way to the Shop if You Want a Sausage Roll instead. Try Dirty Deeds, Whole Lotta Rosie and TNT. ❤ Also, John Farnham used bag pipes in You're the Voice.
LMAO "is that a bagpipe?!?" the look on your face, ...
lol The look on your face when the pipes kicked in. Awesome. Scottish-born, Aussies. Why not rock and roll and bagpipes? Damn straight.
It works!
AC/DC ❤SO GREAT 🔥💯🤘 ANGUS THE GOAT 🎉 (RIP) BON AND MALCOM
It's the bagpipes. I lived in Italy in the late 70s, and that is when I discovered all their early stuff. I moved back in 80, and then Bon died, Brian was hired, and Back In Black came out in August of 80. The rest is history.
Thanks for the reaction.
If someone asked me "What does Rock and Roll sound like?" in the most general sense of the term, the first thing that would pop into my head would sound like AC/DC.
Damn straight bro 🤘
I freakin love School of Rock!!!
Bagpipes kinda homage to Angus, Malcom and Bon’s Scottish routes all 3 originally from Scotland 🏴
Thems bagpipes. 😁
Y yes it was !!! Love ACDC
Mate, doesn't matter waht it is, just keep rockin'. The original and the best.
In 1977-ish at a “Day on the Green” concert at the Oakland Coliseum they were the opening act I know they played this song but unfortunately as teenage boys who were able to get are hand on adult beverages I just don’t remember. Lol. 😂
This was like watching an old cartoon when someone gets hit with a lump of 2 by 4.
Another Aussie has used bagpipes in a song. Checkout "John Farnham You're The Voice with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra". John also does a cover of "Its a long way to the top (if you want to rock and roll).
Since Bon, Angus, Malcolm and Cliff Richards (bass) were all born in Scotland, the bagpipes were brought out for Bon to learn to play for the song. Phil Rudd (drums) was born in Australia, but the rest all moved there as kids.
It's Cliff Williams ,and he was born in Romford , England.Bon ,Angus and Malcolm were born in Scotland
This was their first hit……..yes that is a bagpipe……Lol
Bon, Angus and Malcolm are of course, Scottish. Brian Johnson, was introduced to the Young brothers, by Bon Scott himself. It was the perfect, though sad, transition.
It's not where you're born but where you're buried that makes where you come from. They are Australian, with Scottish ancestry.
@@lesliedaras-wells2510 If I die in Texas, I'm coming back to haunt you.
@@lesliedaras-wells2510 exactly & if they didn't move from Scotland they'd possibly wouldn't have survived considering the reason why Bon's family & Angus & Malcolm's families moved to Australia as 10 pound poms as they were sickly kids, especially Bon & Angus. Also if it wasn't for the Aussie music industry they wouldn't be where they're today. It's funny tho that the Scots that gets in the comments claiming ACCA DACCA as Scottish have never claimed The Easybeats as Scottish considering George Young was in that band before becoming ACCA DACCA'S producer until they were picked up by an American label
Like your suprise at the bagpipes 😊
Bagpipes rock ?
Bagpipes rock !
Bon showing his great tongue in cheek sense of humor at 7:50 in your video. After singing "it's a long way.." you can hear him say "at least they told me" meaning it wasn't a long way for him.
I'm pretty sure he says "I wish they told me". As in, I wish they told me before I started.
@@cathyaldridge4550 Not at all. That wouldn't fit his personality anyway. Bon wasn't a very serious person, he was always cracking jokes. It's a lighthearted flex. "It's a long way for all of you, but it was easy for me"
@@JohnDoe-nq4fd He literally wrote Highway to Hell, a song about the misery of constant touring. Besides, it definitely sounds like "I wish".
Before Bon the lead singer was Dave Eaves he is the singer in song can I sit next to you girl!
Want more bagpipes, listen to John Farnham doing The Voice.
AC/DC Born in Australia in 1973 , yes it is Bon Playing bag pipes along with a pipe band in the background and yes this is Bon in 1976 he died in February 1980 Pre Back in Black is Dirty Deeds and Highway To Hell
Rock n Roll bagpipes! 🔥🤘😎
its 4 bagpipes .. bon playing one along with 3 bagpipers .. you missed watching the video . showing beautiful melbourne australia.the city im from
Bagpipes- well loved by Australians and also in John Farnham's (Farnsey's) song: The Voice.
If you grew up on AC/Dc in Australia you knew this song. The School or Rock bit was ok but just felt silly but then Jack Black is more of a comedian than a singer. I remember when the movie came out and people were talking about AC/DC's song being used in it we all laughed. Oh, and yes that is bagpipes being used in the song.
yup! bag pipes! whoda thunk?
I was jammin' to AC/DC before Back in Black. Other people were missing out!!
🖤LOVE AC/DC!!!! Please react to Paul McCartney and Wings -Mull of Kintyre - Bagpipes!
Hey, be a trendsetter and react to an AC/DC song that for reasons I'm still trying to figure out why, nobody wants to do, and that is "Ride On." Bon is the lead there as well. EPIC, POWERFUL. Give it a shot.
Paul McCartney had a hit in the later 70s call MULL OF KINTYRE where he had a band of pipers follow him and his acoustic guitar around his Scottish farm outside Campbelltown.
Aussies love a good bagpipe.
Aww! You MISSED Out on the a GREAT Videooooo!!! You miss the Bagpipe Players!
Yes.
Bagpipes.
Shoot to Thrill is one of my favorite AC/DC songs…please react to it…pretty please😊
"It's a Long way to the Top' by ACDC and "Mull of Kintyre" by Paul McCartney are the to best rock and roll bag pipe songs imo.
Its Bon Scott playing the bagpipes
I have seen ACDC live twice. Several videos out there
Bon Scott was first you got it.
Angus and Malcolm came from Scotland, hence the bagpipes.🏴💚
and ron bon scotts real name
Video is really good.
Even though band is older, watch shoot to thrill at River Plate. The crowd is beyond lit. N please, come right back with video for bon on the pipes! Worth it! 🙂
🔥
Acdc bagpipes
Harmonica, levy breaks led zepplin
Great bands make everything sound great.
They never did this song after Bon Scott died in respect.
RIP BON.
TRY the the live video version--it's great!
React to the video for Flick of the Switch AC/DC with Brian. Very underrated song that noone reacts to at all.
The BEST AC/DC was with Bon Scott. YOU MUST DO A REACTION TO SOUL STRIPPER!!!!!!!
Tell me how many rock and roll songs or any songs for that matter Besides amazing grace Have you heard on the bagpipes?
Should have went with the official video, bud.🎸
Its bagpipes!
Bagpipes!
Bon Scott play the back pipe🤌🎼🤘❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
Only 2 rock bands can pull off bagpipes in a song:
ACDC: It's a Long Way to the Top If You Want to Rock and Roll.
Paul McCartney and Wings: Mull of Kintyre.
John Farnham used pipes on You're the Voice
Shoots and Ladders Korn
It's bagpipes brother. Bon Scott could play bagpipes
Bummer. I read the comments first and you didn't do the video. I hope you get to check it out soon
Whole Lot Of Rosie
SHOULD WATCH VIDEO!!!
you should have watched the music video.
I miss Bon Scott! ❤❤❤❤❤❤
The single most irritating, cacophonous assault upon the human ear is quite possibly the sound eminating from bagpipes and yet, curiously, they work here AND it wouldn't be so iconic without them!
Louder
AC/DC no longer plays this song as Bon was on the bagpipes! However, Metallica still comes out to this song every night....
They were way big b4 that lol
I agree Bon Scott better singer
Sorry I should have known you would have gone deep Studied
Bon played the bagpipe.
There’s a video for this song too bro!! Check it out!!
