I'm so excited to see my baby fantail goldfish turn out like that! She is a baby right now. I've had her about 2 weeks this coming week. I couldn't be happier.
Exactly what I was looking for! One veiltail and one fantail swimming together to see noticeable differences. I couldn't decide between these fish and now I've fallen in love with both! Your tank is very clean and your fish are very active, nice job!
@@Latenivenatrix_Mcmasterae I believe the sliver & orange fish is the fantail, you can see a more defined tail shaped like a triangle. Conversely, the solid orange displays an undefined, flowing finage that acts like a silk veil.
What kind of plants are those? Arent your goldfish absolutely obliterating them? I had put 3 good-looking plants in my goldfish aquarium, but had to relocate them elsewhere cos of the state they made them to. Now i just keep a plastic plant.
The orange fish is a veiltail and the white is a fantail, the difference between the 2 is the fantail is split into 2 tails down the top while the veiltail is all one big tail with no split
They are beautiful fish I have three fantails myself, they are still quite young at the moment still practically baby's how many litres is your fish tank just wandering. 😊
it is 130 Litres www.aquaone.com.au/2015-04-16-04-47-04/2015-04-16-06-00-17/aquariums/aquastyle/item/2946-52075gbk?highlight=WyI2MjB0IiwiYXF1YXN0eWxlIiwiNjIwdCBhcXVhc3R5bGUiXQ==
You have some beautiful fish here. How long have you had them? I just bought a tank today and I'm going to be buying some fish, but I'm still thinking of what breed. I have had beta, goldfish and guppies in the past. 🐟🐠
+Adrian Tollis Thank you for your input. I have had both guppies and betas in the past, and goldfish. Unfortunately, despite my efforts and cafe for my goldfish, they died quite quickly because I got them from an unreliable source. But I am hoping to get more now. Thanks again, and in the near future there will be fish swimming in the background of my videos. 🐟🐠🐢
Any fantail or veiltail will look like this if they are kept in a proper environment. Usually fish in petstores don't look like this at first because they are babies and haven't grown yet.
+cscott I bought a little fantail with a short tail for 2.00 at petco in about a year he was as beautiful as the fish in this video. So about one year depending on their environment.
+Plastic Bag May I ask how you kept him? Salinity percentages? How large the tank is and how frequently you changed it? Temperature? Filtration? I really, really want one of these guys lol
+cscott +cscott I never added salt to the water. I have two fish in a 120 gallon tank I bought for 50 bucks on Craigslist. I change 50% of the water every week. I keep them at temperatures between 65-70 using two heaters on each side of the tank but that's because I live in a cold climate. I have two hang on the back filters. Also I use a thin layer of sand and I have live plants, I keep it pretty bare in the tank because goldfish are clumsy and I don't want them tearing their fins, I also like the look of it. Really just find the biggest tank you can afford, there's good tanks for cheap on Craigslist and other cheap fish stuff.

I can’t tell the difference still beside the longer fins

Beautiful goldfish, the aquarium its not big enough for 2, looks like a 30g not sure, but should be min 45 gallons + , and canister filter.

So beautiful
Can someone tell me where I could get a veiltail like this it so beautiful
These were bought from my local pet store when they were young and less impressive. The impressive long tails come with age.
Thay look so amazing and beautiful
Which one is veiltail and which one fantail?
The orange one is the veil tail, veil is more flowing while a fan is more rigid.

I have had them about 6 years
+Adrian Tollis That's great. I have one more question, would a goldfish do well in a five gallon tank? Possibly with an angelfish as well?
Goldfish are great, they feel like they have more personality than guppies and are more active than Bettas. Hardier too.
schumache101 nah they need plenty of room, they create a lot of waste (poop)
