I have lived most of my life in jeans and love to wear silk blouses with soft cardigans and Chanel inspired blazers, and casual maxi dresses in colors and prints (sweaters and boots in winter)- but several years ago I found a couple of longer vintage silk mat satin Ralph Loren skirts (one solid navy, one print with many rich earth tones) and ended ik pairing them with some big chunky sweaters and riding boots.... love the look so much! Was thrilled when suddenly this look was everywhere and have been thrilled to find more mat satin skirts available this year in different colors to add to my wardrobe +still looking for the perfect sat satin slip dress, so far all the contenders sell out!). I have also added some mat satin wide leg trousers to my wardrobe in a black and another in a pale tan. They cover so many bases for me- can be worne the ultra casual style of the day with chunky sneakers and a tee or sweatshirt, a smart work look- tailored with a button down, or soft with the toppers I wear with jeans (good for a soft date night look too), or elegantly formal . Love

Do you know you can easily no-sew hem up jeans/pants just by ironing seam tape to secure the seam. It’s called stitch witch or hem tape, it’ll fix up anything dragging the floor.

They are my new favorites…and yes they have pleats, but they look so chic with a fitted turtleneck or a lightweight sweater tucked in. They have a chic elegant look on days you might want to wear trousers.
