You're welcome, JRHamp. It's a great place to walk around, rest and relax. The people are friendly, the location is safe, food is delicious, and the beaches are just fabulous and with blue water when the sun is out.
Actually there is a walking path through foliage, where you can just jump in the Lagoon without buying tickets, (if you have all your own snorkel gear...)
Hi, Lorena. I like to use Google Maps like www.google.com/maps/place/Hacienda+de+la+Tortuga+%26+La+Mirage/@20.4030216,-87.3145831,16z/data=!4m13!1m7!3m6!1s0x8f4e36ad65c18ee5:0xf6ab9f43a21e7274!2sAkumal,+Quintana+Roo,+Mexico!3b1!8m2!3d20.3959736!4d-87.315901!3m4!1s0x0:0xffd9170151920080!8m2!3d20.407037!4d-87.307709
@@TheKingsGuideForMen Thank You , I have found nothing there reasonable or under $2000 that is close to the beach side, plus we would be bringing our dog so it makes it harder. Thanks for the reply.
Looks like a gogeous placebut....Do you have to pay to go to the beaches? Or is it like other places where the beaches are not owned. That would be a deal breaker for me.It looks like a great palce and I have been explrong going there, but beaches should be free and have public access. In Hawaii all the beaches are free , no one can claim them and not allow people.I don't want to go to a place where I have to pay to go to the beach
Hi, Joel. No. There are public beaches with easy access. If you check out Airbnb or Vrbo, you may find a place that has it's own beach access, which is something I prefer. The public beach access in the little beach-side of town of Akumal is great because there is plenty of room and a couple restaurants and open bars right there.
Please be careful encouraging travelers to just sneak through the condos on HMB. Those are private and rentals not just for anyone that wants to hit the beach. North of La Buena there's the public entrance to the beach. We don't appreciate it when tourist groups schlep by our front door thinking they have rights to hang in my backyard and pool.
Hi, Teri. I agree. But I do not recall encouraging traveler to "just sneak through the condos." The purpose of the video is to encourage people to rent the condos prior to visiting Akumal. In the video, we walked through the condo that we actually rented, so that people don't have to do that themselves prior to renting the condo.
Yes. The only way to get to Half Moon Bay is from the south. Half Moon Bay is north of the public beach of Akumal. All of the tourist attractions are there. Akumal beach there is one road that goes directly north. Along the way is Half Moon Bay. At the very end of that one road is the Lagoon. It's a beautiful lagoon. Watch the lagoon part in my video at ua-cam.com/video/a39YOL4Ox3U/v-deo.htmlm10s
I'm the dude, and we don't eat pizza and pasta. We order only what the locals recommend, mostly whole fried fish and Mexican dishes. My kids love the beans.
what is wrong with pizza and pasta? works for me!!!!!! What do you want them to eat. When in Mexico or anywhere I eat what I want not what you want me to eat
Man this is great video and information you should have large subscribers base 👍👍👍👍👍
I agree with you. Thank you for the feedback.

That's right. The Lagoon is accessible, but I thought it's good to help fund the park.
at 9:30..."The Reef" condo..that's where we stayed...nice condo on bottom floor.
Thanks for the comment, Eric. We appreciate it. And I hope you had a great vacation.

Are there any reasobale places to stay? under $ 2000/mo, and you can go to the beach?
Yes, Joel. I enjoy using Airbnb.com and Vrbo.com.

Stoped watching as soon as the dude said; This one of my favorite restaurants where you can get some pizza & pasta.
