I always found it weird how this game only had English voice acting despite never having an overseas release. ESPECIALLY coming from SNK who tends to avoid English voice acting in their games (this and Maximum Impact being the only real exceptions).
That final boss has to be THE most disturbing thing in the metal slug series to ever be made. Seriously. It’s disgusting. The aliens have nothing on this Akira looking thing
9:32 damn! Howl's Moving Castle fell in evil hands! The 3D could never compare to the spritework of the main series in any case, but here's it's not even stylish, just mostly cheap (the castle's legs clip horribly through objects). It's clear just from watching that it doesn't handle always smoothly. Allen is a braindead boss. To think it has potential, several great bosses (the castle again, the desert ship), great music.

Basically, this game has a lock-on mechanic, in which you'll have to use everytime (even though some guns will require manual aiming, like the rocket launcher). The weapons you pick will be in your inventory, instead of automatically changing and discarding your current weapon, and this game has a sniper rifle. Same goes for the grenades, and one of the grenade types is the smoke bomb. You can also customize your tank as you collect parts, being able to change the guns, the cannon, and even the threads, so you can make your tank faster or slower. Oh, and you'll get the Monolith grenade after you beat the game. It basically makes a highly-damaging monolith fall on the target

Cuz it would be fun to see your own soldiers go into combat, even though METAL SLUG DEFENSE got a lot of negative reviews, I find there to be a lack of Strategy games, or RTS games where your soldiers actually do something to stay alive.

I used to love this game as a kid and I can't believe my dad accidently bought me a Japanese version of Metal slug 3D and my PS2 was region free! Dang this game bring me so many back memories, But I don't think I like it anymore cause this game looks jerky and gameplay doesn't feel too much fun

Tips for defeating Allen, when he goes on full rush at you, just dodge it and melee him a lot save ammo on later missions.
