Ah a fellow gamer
A. V. F. HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
He’s the Bob Ross of steel drums.
That's one of the nicest comments I could get!
hes like nature skrillex
XD
All I can say is that I am mesmerized by his playing technique and he is chill and respectful.
Can I say something from my heart? You were the first video I saw about handspans, you were so kind and helpful, and now, making handpan songs is one of my favorite things now! It’s a big thanks to you, and I feel in your debt.
That;s amazing to hear Jon. I hope that you are able to hold that joy with you and share it with others!
"... a new beautiful instrument to carry your soul forward." Man, I just burst into tears. I was watching you play and thinking I need to reclaim my ability to play the instruments I already own before I invest in something new and then you went and said that. Beautiful, just... beautiful.
I just might make one in my welding class
@@hachithehound8337
That would be cool!
Some of these can for 10 thousand dollars, you could make a career out of it!
@@abelis644 that sounds great
@@damien8949 You get what you give in life. I'd guess you have a lot of anger to go out of your way to put someone else down for their openness. Shame on you.
I like the sound of the hang drum. It has a steel drum tone but it is enclosed with a bit less resonance. Yes, I wish the price was alot less. These instruments are very relaxing
Beautiful! It was really interesting to hear the different kinds all together, they each surprised me.
the last 2 sound incredible!
this is an awesome video, it was part of my decision making process in buying my first tongue drum, which I just received from Kaizen. Thank you for putting this together.
For those awaiting their Kaizen drums...
I got my drum. I dealt with Levi directly, and I was not involved with the indiegogo campaign. I bought it off the site in December 2016. I was really let down with the customer service. I was given an estimate of three weeks, which was consistent with the time indicated on the website. I was told "very soon", "ASAP", "in about a week" many times. After 18 frustrating weeks of emails I got my drum. It is exactly what I ordered, and I am happy with it. It sounds great.
I don't mind waiting. What bothered me was the constant assurance that it was almost ready to ship, when it wasn't. If Kaizen would be straight with their customers and say "hey, I am backlogged, I have your order but it is going to take 4 months to get to you" I would have been cool with that. I would not have retracted my order. Perhaps that is the concern. This style of business will do more damage in the long run.
All the best
These drums are very healing. Feel funky? Pick one up and play. In 5 minutes or less, you are a different person. God Bless all the beautiful musicians for creating these magical instruments.
Thank You for this demo comparison. Its been a great way for me to see and more importantly hear the various steel tongue drums.
I like the comparisons, and the exhibition of techniques with each style of drum and hitting variations.
i got chills when you played the handpan, just beautiful
Hearing them feel like im flying or something.
Feels great.
Just the tiny sample you gave was pretty magical. The vibration in my ears and my hand as I was holding my iPhone was blissning. 🙏
What beautiful sounds these drums make! They are gorgeous! I absolutely love them!
you convinced me to get a kaizen f big bear, what a blissful sound, such an amazing resonance... blessings :)
What a nice walk-through of some really exceptional instruments.
All of them sound amazing. Thanks for the vid!
Wow! The difference in tone. Thanks for this informative video.
You are a delight to listen to!
When you try to copy the hang drum without patent violation and end up making an even better sounding instrument
😂😂 a happy mistake
Cinder Woods or as the late, great Bob Ross would say, a happy accident...
Muss man wissen!
There are no accidents, only happy mistakes
"better sounding" is(!) and has always been a matter of taste.
Thank you. Great review of the different drums. Will be very helpful when deciding on my first purchase.
These things are magical. I can't wait to have one.
I met someone who had one made from a propane tank and it sounded amazing. I've been fascinated by them ever since. I wish I could afford the bigger hand pan drums but, I think I might buy one of the smaller ones and give it a try. Thanks for the information!
There is simply no comparison to Hang drum. Magical sounds. There is huge market for these but they need to become more affordable
Great to hear the comparisons of the different types of hand drum! I'm just waiting on my Zen Celtic Minor handpan, and considering a Rav Vast 2 while I wait so this is fantastic to get a better idea of the differences! Thanks for the video!!
Amazing instruments. So glad I stumbled across this video
Thank you for that! Thought I wanted something closer to the Hapi drum.... but learned I really just want the handpan 💖
I'm so happy I found this! I couldn't remember the name of the tongue drum, and now I know of so many more kinds just like it! Russian handpan RAV, so cool. Thank you.
Thanks for the comparison. I've had my rev vast 2 in Da major for about a month and It's a great addition to my show. writing some songs and using it in my songs. Amazing instrument.
Hand pan at 3:42 was beautiful
Thank you so much for doing this helpful video! I'm leaning toward the Kaizan. It will be my first steel drum.
Wow ! This is amazing and thank you for the explanations - I was always confused.
Great video. Nice performance. Exactly what i was lookin for.
So cool! Love hearing these!
Just ordered my RAV Vast! I have been dreaming about having a handpan for years and now I finally get to start my journey. I'll be learning to play the RAV and eventually hopefully get a handpan in a year or so!
how is it so far?
RAV has far better sound for sure and is not overratted and overvalued like Hang .Is definitely worth the price.
RAV on man ! That's great!
this vid was so helpful. I have for a long time been wanting one of the above and didn't know the much one to get asa beginner. Super helpful. Thank you.
very educational, thank you!
Thanks to You, I totally changed my mind from hapi mini to Rav!!!!!!!!!!! Simply amazing! I believe everybody will have individual feeling about these instruments, but I just totally fallen in love in the last one! :)
In order to play any type of Hang drum, you need to grow Dreadlocks first.
So true lmao
Everybody I have seen on a Rav drum, so far, has possessed bodacious dreds.
The dreads give you power.
Vinnie J yeeesssss
I was thinking about it 😆
Love, Love, Love...so Hopefully I can get my 1st one. Thank you for your time and talent sharing.😍😍😍😍🔥
love the vids brotha keep it up mad love from california!!! saving up for one of those Kaizen f Big bear tune going to take me a long time but im going to get one you inspired me to want to play thanks so much!
I love that second to last one. That sounds resonates so strongly with my spirit
Watch the Malte Marten & Sergio Huerta Perez handpan video. Your spirit will probably love that piece of music as much as mine does :-)
Watched this video, few months later I bought a rav vast. Hadn't seen one before until this video!
Man.. the dynamics on the RAV Steel drum are absolutely amazing. There's so much going on with the sound!
nice video - great info and great playing - thanks for the inspiration! rock on brother.
Excellent and informative video. Loved your music!
Thanks for putting this together.
Thank you for that beautiful introduction!
This was very helpful to me as someone who is very interested but has no experience. Thank you :)
I just played the RAV vast for the first time. It was a great experience.
damn that RAV Vast produced a note that I definitely didn't expect, really cool!
Thank you for sharing your knowledge! All of these sound lovely :)
Ahh! Just what I've been waiting for!
Fantastic video! So informative! Thank you!
steel handpan sounds so good, too bad it costs $1500+
misutatomasu yeah I know, I was going to get one until I saw how much it was.
I found some running around 1200...but thats still hella steep
Not the Russian one, it costs 500-700$
Profit crazed hippies.
+soslothful Not really, do you know how much effort goes into making these? Many builders have like 50 scrapped ones (even those have 200$ material cost alone) lying around cause a mistake means starting over again.
Some makers sell their stainless steel prototypes for ~250-350$ though. They're not scraps so they still sound amazing, if you're looking to buy cheap steel drums I recommend "the handpan community" on Facebook.
Aweso.e overview and comparison of the drums!
Gorgeous sound... thanks Lionheart! xxx
Needed this video. Thanx mush
Thanks a lot. The last one resonate best for me.
There is just something so amazing about the lowest note on that steel handpan
Thank You for sharing!
Very nice instruments, I like RAV very much.
I'm glad i found this. I was looking for a handpan but it's not within my budget right now. hopefully next year once i find a place/ marker. I def like the sound of the Kaizen and its size. I might have to just order one of those for now.
Thanks for all these samples...WOW.. and Talented too btw😉
Great overview of different drums. Thanks :-D
Thanks guy. I have had ulnar neuropathy in my writing hand/arm for 28+ years now but I bought a 13 note 12 inch Happybuy steel tongue drum. I will be very limited of course but after I start out slow and get a feel for the tones and notes I'll be tuning in. Cool to hear the different tones, I bet that bigger one can do some special stuff.
I ain't never seen a man so in touch with the world
Hahahahaha love your Pura Vida shirt!! Costa Rican guy here!!! keep up the good work!
thank you so much! this actually helped me a lot !!!
thank you. That was helpful, and I love the music.
Beautiful music thank you for making the video love the sounds I have the smallest one love it
The handpan part sounded so good i started dancing 😭❤️
Thanks, that's a great video and simple to understand for someone like me who has just discovered these things today.
It seems I would need to have a grasp of musical theory to begin learning not only how to play this but the theories / principals behind it.
Any good links to help me understand or just enjoy....?
Thank you so much, you’re very talented.
Thanks for this video review good sir! I love all of the differences between the drums.
So enjoyable. Thank You 💕
Awesome
Thanks for info and demo
peaceful sound..and cool instruments!!
Thank you for the helpful video.
His appearance helps build the mystique of the instrument.
LOL
Sounds wonderful
Nice video and a good introduction to those drums.
Thank you for this video, it was very helpful. Cheers from Julia in New Mexico USA!
Thanks so much for this video! I've always wanted a handpan but they're ridiculously expensive....the expense is certainly justified given that they're made by hand and whatnot, but it's just far outside my budget for now. Maybe in a few years I can afford one.
I'm super glad that there's a more affordable (and portable) alternative! I'll definitely be picking up one of those small tongue(?) drums in the near future. I prefer the look of the Kaizen drum to the Hapi, but I'm worried about the customer service since some others have had issues with communication and excessively long waits, but as long as I get what I order (and hopefully it doesn't take TOO terribly long) I can deal.
Thanks for your help dude, I really would love a steel hand pan, I just dunno if the other's cut it! Better get saving! Peace
A very helpful video. thanks!
So helpful, thank you!
Nice T-shirt!!! PURA VIDA !!
Música mágica!
WOW that last one is breathtaking
Thank you for your knowledge
nice video thanks for the comparison!
This is SO beautiful
Thanks for this video. 🙏🏻
Thank you for your video and beautiful soul. I’ve learned a bit from this video. I’d like an 8 note tongue drum 💜
Very nice! Thank you very much
Beautiful!!💜💜💜
I love the bigger sound out of the bigger instruments but the small ones may be a good place to learn.
Cool.. thanks for the video
