    Kava bars are a great way to start getting into it. You get to basically sample what a proper kava drink should tatse like. Most bars also sell kava kits to take home and they can tell you how to best brew their particular kava.

      Agreed. I think everyone should check out a kava bar at least once. It's a super unique and authentic experience.

    Hi! How many times/washes can you use the ball before changing it to a new batch ?

    • @tylerjellis
      @tylerjellis  11 місяців тому

      If you mean how often you can use the Kava, I'd change it each time. The ball itself seems pretty durable though and I haven't needed to replace it yet.

    How much water and powder should be used for a beginner?

    • @tylerjellis
      @tylerjellis  3 роки тому +3

      1-2 tablespoons was the recommended starting dose to put in the ball for a first-timer. You could put as much water as you'd like to dilute the taste as needed. Like beer, you can drink a few of these for increasing effects. I'd start low and go slow, drinking more as needed if you like it.

    Pro cost 10 more and has a extra ball those are 15 each and I figured 2 balls make a stronger drink? Idk im new to this just ordered a pro and 2 half lb of kava hoping this stuff does me well kratom does a lot for me and this should be a good thing for my off days I hope I only don’t like taking kratom back to back bc of tolerance issues.

    How about using a tea ball? Would that work?

    • @tylerjellis
      @tylerjellis  Рік тому

      Honestly, I'm not sure as I don't own a tea ball myself. If the mesh of the tea ball is "small enough" to keep the kava powder from coming out, it might work; but if the powder is slipping through I wouldn't drink it. Let me know if you try and how it goes!

      On the Islands they use old T-shirts to extract the water but I use cheese cloths. I don't like this ball because you don't squeeze out the oils and all the Kava water.I'll pass.

    Don't forget adding fat such as Whole fat milk or Coconut oil will bring out potency.

      Add the oil to the kava inside the ball? Or add the oil to the water before shaking?

    • @tylerjellis
      @tylerjellis  3 роки тому +1

      @@WhatsGoing0nHere I've never added coconut oil to a kava shake. If I were going to, I'd probably put it in the water rather than the shaker ball; probably easier to clean that way.

    Here's what I'm using *EVERY* night: 10-30mg Ambien/Zolpidem, 3-8mg Klonopin/Clonazepam, over 200mg Benadryl, over 2000mg Valerian Root, anywhere from 100 to 500mg of Melatonin, Red Vein Kratom (Approximately 5-15grams idk, I eyeball), and sometimes magnesium, sometimes Tryptophan *AAAAAALLLLLLLLL of these things in combination and I can still function 90% or feel nothing at all, brain and body still in go mode, and I just want this to work so much. Sorry I can't be more helpful here, and I know it's not the answer you're looking for, but I mean well.
      If accurate, that's a pretty intense stack to be taking every night before bed. I personally would not want to be mixing all of those things, especially on a regular basis. In fact, some of those dosages you mentioned by themselves are considered quite harmful. And trust me, I'm no prude with that stuff.
      Most things taken on a daily basis you'll eventually develop tolerance to which is why they may no longer be working for you. If drugs/supplements haven't been helping you sleep, they're probably not the best answer for you. I couldn't in good faith say I think adding Kava to the equation is a good idea. In fact, I'd be pretty concerned about it being dangerous; even Kava + Alcohol is an awful combination, I wouldn't imagine it would interact well with something like Klonopin. I would really encourage you to speak to a doctor about safely weaning off most of these things and finding a more direct solution that will work for you. Wishing you all the best and hoping to help however I can. Please be safe.

      @Don't Panic, Do This! Yes, thank for for the answer! Not every night do I take that full regiment. There have been a few nights in the past 2 weeks trying Kava that I took nothing but Kava and Kratom and it was awesome! I'm hoping to find a Kava that could possibly replace all of those. Of course there's some real mental/addiction issues that needs work, but I'm feeling positive about Kava

      @Jackson 🔱 At first I was pissed off. Then I had to reread and remembered you're right. As offended as I was, I know I've been like this since highschool. Brain been going fast as fuck boi! That with depression, alcohol was my answer back then, slowed and chilled me down. Then it just kept getting worse, addiction, depression, try something else to numb and dumb everything down, clean and happy, repeat.
