In their first ever acoustic set, Mother's Finest is still rockin' the house! Check out the ultra rare interview and first ever acoustic set on BackstageATL.com
I was a flaming alcoholic when I went to see Mother's Finest back in the late 80's/early 90's at "The Post Office" in Augusta, GA. Surprisingly, there weren't many people there yet, so I bought a beer and walked up to the front of the stage. When they started, I was positioned right in front of Joyce and Wyzard...close enough to touch them. They were so good that, when the show was over, I realized I hadn't moved and had drunk only that one beer! LOL! For a couple hours or so, they cured my alcoholism! In '99 God cured it permanently and the Truth set me free! :)
Never heard and seen such a great unplugged version of this great song. Played by a great band. Sung with such great feeling. Joyce ‘ s voice is outstanding , Mann !!!!!!
Hello ! When I saw them for the first time I was blown away. Really! "Moses Mo" is an outstanding guitarplayer! No doubt ! And the band was and is first league. No doubt ! Doubtful that PRINCE just covered one song of them! Most important: There is a development concerning musicmanship. The Purple Love Assistant
@@MichaelMyers07 I saw them for the first time in '78 or "79 when they opened for Lynerd Skynyrd and they were the best act! Very next morning, I was at Record Bar buying Another Mother Further
Love Mothers Finest! Our band, Joint Session, pre-acted them in Athens GA . We used PePe's drums which were awesome. He blew the house down when he slammed down his solid funk beat with bassist, Wizard, for Mother's Finest. Dang, these guys killed it. Love to you !
I've seen them at least 5 times, every time I see them I'm in awe, Mo kicks ass and Wizard beats the funk out of that bass! Joyce and BB King aren't slacking by any means. They tear it up!
Saw them many times in Germany and at Wild Bill's in Duluth which was otstanding. Funny enough Moses was wearing a T-SHirt of the Blues Festival in Roth, where I saw them too :-)
Have Mercy Baby Jean, Mo' & Murdock!!! I feel like havin some church with MF. Still waiting for a "Funk Rock Jesus" album. (ie: Mary Mary, Helen Baylor, Sister Rosetta Tharpe)!!!
I'm glad Madonna is in the Rock and Roll Hal of Fame instead of these no talent musicians. (Major sarcasm ) Saw them 3 times as an opening act. Hands down one best live acts I've ever seen. Shame they don't get the credit they deserve.
what song and artist? Yesterday is just a kiss away. We had dreams, it will always be that way. The time has passed. The kisses didn't last. It all fell through. Don't know just what to do......Anyone?
As much as I love that song I still have to laugh about the first line "If i was blind ... and I could not see". What kinds of blindess do you know, where you can see?!
