Wyzard is a bass legend with Mother's Finest, one of my favorite rock funk band they all are legendary. Love Changes happen to be one of my favorite songs by Mother's Finest.
Remember The Wyzard with Mothers Finest playing the small venues when I was in High School....One of the Greatest Bands ever. Sooooo much energy. Thanks
As s 14 year old, white kid, from Alabama I have to say that you blew my mind with the opening of Baby Love. Hooked. You guys didn't get the air play that you deserved. I still listen to you and I tell everyone that they should check you out.
I met him briefly once when I was a kid, he used to jog through our Neighborhood after working out at the Gym in GeorgiaTowne shopping center in Georgia. I'd holler at him when he went by and he'd always wave. I was a budding Bass player back then and he was an inspiration.
Wyzard is one of the slap bass pioneers. He gave Mother's Finest the funky groove that became significant for that band. His bass playing is not only great, it's damn sexy .
Jerry is a super cool guy and I met him a few times. I have been a fan of MF since seeing them in 78 or 79. Funk, rock, metal all rolled into a cool package. I still listen to them on a regular basis.
Just enjoyed him the day before yesterday playing with Mother's Finest in Hamburg in the 'Fabrik'. Great location, great atmosphere! Looking forward hearing you again in the ' Fabrik '
So Awesome to hear the old stories , Espeacially requarding Lunch and sending you the guitar. Family is so important and you have always been a kind humble soul Wyzard, Jerry Seay, Super Cool Bass Playet ❣
I remember the day I was born, mom was there that day😍 love you man, love your playing, I'm so glad Mother Finest is still going strong and you guys are still happening. I saw you guys in Tampa 1979/80 ish I think it was the same day Joyce and Murdock just got married. I think it was called the Performing Arts Center you guys blew me away., I've been a huge fan ever since that night.
Salt of the earth. He lived across the cul-de-sac in Roswell when I was a little kid right when he was starting to tour with Stevie nicks. I'd ride over on my big wheel and hear him setting up his rig and he'd let me watch him solo and warm up . It was pretty cool. Especially having the patience to let a motor mouth kid ask him a million and one questions.
I was blessed to open for MF long ago in Augusta Ga. Wizard was the I was always wanting to talk with and even tho I was just a silly local kid he and the band treated me and my band great. I have a 78 (P90) Les Paul Goldtop I got him to sign. Since then I've played all that good off but I know I could examine the back where he signed with some special light it's still there!
Jerry is such cool guy and very friendly, Meet him back in 1979 at an MF concert w4 tsaled for about 15 minutes. I have searching for this bass for a while now , I kn ow they are very hard to find does anyone lead me in the right direction to find this wod grain model ?
Heard Him Play In 1977 ASU Albany Ga. Thumped So Hard On Baby Love He Broke A String. He Kept On Thumping. MF Was The Loudest Self Contained Band I Had Ever Heard And They Still Alive And Kicking.
Wyzard is one of the best, a powerhouse of a player still to this day

Seen them a lot in the mid 70s at Alex coolys electric ballroom in Atlanta. They had all the originals then. Bought their first album.

They didn't get the air play that other southern bands did. They rock, and they should be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
You're right...I've met him and he is the sweetest person I've ever met.
1 of the baddest bass player in rock then and now love mothers finest
