YES. 7.3L Godzilla. No Start Stop. No Cylinder Deactivation. Port Fuel Injection. Simple and efficient.
And built like a tank with parts being super cheap
I just got an F-250 XLT , 7.3 gas Tremor two days ago and they knocked it down to 58k (5k off sticker). I love it and I’m keeping it forever, along with my 2021 Bronco Badlands. My F-150 got traded in after being in shop for 7.5 months off and on.
Very nice. Congrats on an amazing truck
You are onto something! Definitely the 7.3 and a Tremor....but I'm going F350. I plan to order one just into the new year (2025) and was concentrating my builds around high trim levels. I think I now prefer the XLT trim without any appearance or tech packages other then 360 cameras. Thanks for sharing all your videos. Subscribed!
Amazing truck for sure!
I have push button start in both our 20 and 21 7.3. No issues. I have 37's on my personal 2020 and a Carli 3" level which now rides better by far than the stock tremor and looks better. With XLT package and the money you save you can later get a Katzkin leather set up. Add dual exhaust out the rear with a 5% louder muffler and a 5 Star tune. This adjusts the speedo for the larger tire size and gives me a slight amount of power...but the main thing it changes the pressure in the tranny slightly depending on the tune for towing light to heavy loads. Big improvement in shifts as well as downshifts on grade. Love this truck with 90k miles and no issues. The 21 Hot shot truck is a base XL w 164k..no issues to date as well. Will get 2 new 2026's when available..
Sounds like a beautiful truck!
I wanted a tremor but you can't get one with a long bed and that was more important to me. Longer wheelbase = slightly smoother ride and better towing stability, quite a bit more bed space, looks cooler/more proportional and you notice the rake less (that's mostly subjective) but the real kicker is you get that 48 gallon fuel tank. No way I was giving that up. And for $4,200 (cost of the tremor package), I can recreate it aftermarket if I really want to (easier than magically producing more bedspace or dealing with a reserve fuel tank).
Also, when you get a tremor, you're essentially getting the upgraded parts of a 1-ton, so you mjght as well just do that for the higher GVWR/payload rating (unless your state is weird about 1-ton registration, mine isn't).
@SliderFury1 love that you looked deep into all of this and picked the one thst is best for you and your needs!
I just picked it up. I am more cost conscious. I got my Nissan Titan Pro4X w $15K off MSRP. more truck than I ever need.
Titan is the best half-ton you can buy right now.
Outstanding and congratulations
I used to own a 21 titan pro4x. Best value truck period and super reliable. The warranty is amazing and has a good old v8. For the price, there is no better .5 ton. Would 100 % buy again.
Yesss!!! That is absolutely my dream truck right there and is exactly how I would build it except I would definitely go with the console instead of the flip up middle seat for the extra $300. I have a 2017 F-150 XLT with the 5.0 that I absolutely love and could see keeping forever but can’t decide if that would be my forever truck or go with my F-250 Tremor dream truck! Bought it for $28,000 last August with 69k miles on it. I retire in 6 years and would love to travel the country overlanding with a truck bed pop-up camper. I would be debt free if I kept the F-150 but the F-250 would give me more options for campers with the higher payload plus the better off road ability. It’s a tough choice!
@roco22731 it is a tough choice. 2 great trucks! Myself I'd probably make payments to an investment account like I had bought the f250 and then if the f150 dies or can do what you need you will have a jump start to debt free with the 250.
Most sunroof eventually leak and cause damage. I would pay extra for the factory not to put a big hole in my roof.
Me too. On a truck I'm gonna keep for many years I'd rather not have a sunroof
Where does the raptor fit into this discussion
You can't be more correct. Amazing value.
@@martinmdl6879 agree 100

TEAM..TREMOR....
Got one, a 2024 Tremor platinum 7.3L. I put 1500 miles on it and it broke down on my middle of NV desert. Now it sites for the past 1.5 months waiting on parts.
So sorry that happen! Nothing fun about that experience. And seems like all these manufacturers suck at having parts available. That's the exhausting part.
Wow that sucks. Can I ask what failed?
How long you wait for parts
@@SoonerMikeD It was the AC compressor.
@@travishoyle1288 2 months.
Nice, I like the channel name. Makes sense! 🍻
@DUNEATV thanks. Changed channel name and starting tomorrow I publish at peak times according to stats rather than in the morning. This should help algorithms put my vids in front of more people. Also Changed the name of my hunting channel. Trying to ramp up as much as I can before hunting season when I'm gonna have to slow down a bit for a couple months
I am hearing that there are accessibility issues with the winch and that they are installed at the dealership and that aftermarket might be better, Thoughts?
After market works great if needed and probably much cheaper
I’m between this and an F150 STX 201A (formally Rattler) with the 5.0 and 3.73s. My spec in F250 is also identical to this, but I think I’m going center console if the bench seat doesn’t have air vents for the rear.
2 amazing trucks choices right there.
@ I don’t plan on towing or hauling anything beyond the F150 capability. Is it worth it to jump to the F250 or does the ride blow (even on Tremor suspension)? What’s your take
@HomebodyAnon the 250 is much bigger, rides rougher and drinks way more gas. But I love it
7.3 Godzilla Tremor with a 58 gallon Transfer Flow fuel tank and Carli E-Venture suspension would be my vote.
Perfect
Winch is dealer installed option so it makes no difference if sitting on the lot with or without…
But the Amp package is not dealer installed and you have to find one with the dual Amp set up. I'd want both the winch and the bigger Amp set up.
You can absolutely run 37s on a stock power wagon with the correct offset wheels (AEV). I did it for 4 year without any issues before upgrading to a Thuren suspension.
@@kjr2660 thanks for the update. Good to know.
I traded in my 6 years old f150 and got a 2023 f250 xlt tremor,7.3 gas in 2024, with $8000 off and $22,000 trade in value. The new truck is amazing with 5 rear springs,10R140 transmission and 4.3 gear ratio. I comparing with f350 tremor, didn’t see any difference between f250 and f350.
@@yaoyao2229 congratulations on an amazing truck
No carpet delete or at least all weather floor mats? Is carpet hard to keep clean?
@martinmdl6879 I would buy after market weather tech or husky liners. Love both and cheaper than factory
And yes it was nice just throwing oversized tires on a factory lifted vehicle. To me it is one of the few vehicles that still looks like a truck!
@@Eyez85 yep don't want to have to buy aftermarket wheels. Just slap tires on and be good to go
@@Jason-Samko 💯 ppl don’t realize most after market wheels are garbage.
Hold on. I've only gotten halfway through your video and the pmt is already at $1200 for a base model and you said this is affordable 😂😂
Had a 2020 XLT trimmer that was my forever truck no issues at all until hurricane Helene took it out and now I haven’t 2024 XLT tremor that’ll be my forever truck until the next natural disaster takes it out
Amazing truck
I would like to see your analysis on a Silverado 2500HD ZR2 with the 6.6L Gas motor and maybe do a comparison to the F250 Tremor
@Sixman__ love the chevy 2500! And the 6.6! But the silverado 2500 doesn't have a solid front axle or front locker or front lsd. So for me and my needs the only HD options are the f250 tremor and the ram power wagon.
im between this and an XL with the off road package. what are you thoughts on the XL off road pkg?
@jt31713 love the xl package. Simple works for me and if you can get the rear locker or it's as capable as you need then it's perfect too. I would go to ford's website and build both to see what options compare and what works best for you. 2 amazing trucks
Do $95 marker lights need to cost less?
@martinmdl6879 I don't want them as it's a leak point later on. Remeber I'm talking about my forever truck. Many years and many miles. One less thing to be a problem
It’s not an HD if it doesn’t have roof marker lights. Also, just as red color makes a sports car faster, roof marker lights make a truck tow heavier trailers. 😃
@is6566 😂😂 they also look awesome going down the road with marker lights. Love the ram smoke colored ones.
If you were going to buy and build a classic truck from the 90’s or older what would you go with?
Chevy. I grew up with those trucks
@@Jason-Samko what’s your favorite years?
@jerad4336 don't have e a favorite. But a mid 90s short box 5.7 was a dream truck of mine when I was in my late teens early 20s
Mine is the Tacoma, most people don't consider that a dream truck but from where I came from, the Tacoma to me is like a king ranch diesel dually to somebody else 🛻💨👍👍 I'm just slowly customizing it everything from amsoil synthetic fluids to Carhartt seat covers, OTT tune, tonneau cover. I bought it with 120,000 mi 6-year warranty so the whole time I'm paying for it I won't have to do any repairs.
@@honda116969 outstanding. And it's a great truck. And love the pride of ownership you are talking about. That's rare today. We'll done!
What is criteria as to why you would purchase the winch straight from factory vice installing aftermarket? If you deciding to not buy the winch but planned on doing aftermarket, would you still buy the upgraded 410 amp alternator? I’m looking into building the same truck but deciding on whether or not to fork over the extra 3855 for the winch
I looked at it like this. With a truck size and running a winch I want the bigger alternator set up and the winch to do my self would probably be 2k with winch plate for me to do myself plus removing the bumper etc. And buy getting it from factory I get the winch under factory warranty and thru my extended warranty. So all in all it's not mich different in price and I get the warranty benefits.
@colew8308 Mine 24 just got done being built and am waiting for it to ship,I was going to get the winch but changed my mind it's pricey and I was told there are other model warn's that are better. One guy told me that that particular winch has a smaller drum on it.Also I upgraded to dual alternators which I've also done on other Ford's I've ordered in the past better to have than not
@@polarbear5740 outstanding! Congratulations on such a fine truck
@@Jason-Samko thank you
What has brought you back to picking the ford over say the ram ? No judgment you've just been critical of ford quality in their recent years.
@victormarshall8828 price and in a forever truck (one I would own for many miles and many years) I trust the ford 7.3 more than the hemi. Both are fantastic. But then ther is also the cost difference between the tremor and the power wagon. Only 2 HD trucks that would offer me front locker or the lsd in the ford.
@@Jason-Samko thank you for the reply. Awesome information like always
Nice spec
@@GarzaDiesel thank you
Yup. I’ll keep my F-250 gasser for 20 years. She’s climate controlled garage kept, Amsoil and religious on maintenance. No salt. Will still look mint in 10 years. I’m super OCD with proper washing and everything but it is what it is. Makes me happy and not much in the market that impressed me.
@@Eyez85 very nice! And such a great truck
Front axle isnt a super 60 anymore. They changed it to a 9.25 in 23 quietly without telling anyone. That said, it's supposedly just as good, and ive been beating the crap out of mine on jeep trails in the Rockies literally hours of 4wd use with 37 mts no trouble yet but who knows. Also the fx4 has same skids vent tubes etc as the tremor just doesn't have limited slip in the front. I have been beating my truck including a river crossing that submerged my front camera on the ford emblem for about 2 seconds overall its doing good only thing is squeaky rear leaf springs are annoying.
Good to know. I believe ford went to the dana 50 14 bolt. Still a great strong front diff. But ashame ford pulls this crap without telling anyone.
Does the F250 have the crap 4x4 vacuum hubs like the F150's?
It's a different setup and has auto and manual locking hub you turn with your hand if auto fails. It's good to turn the hub by hand every couple months. People who are lazy and never turn hubs will bitch after a few years.
Power Wagon bar none!!!
@joatmon1857 great truck.
You have to climb to enter the Power Wagon?
"For ever truck" to keep for 8, 10 or 15 years....That's cute (laughing in GMT 800).
I drive 40k miles a year. 10 years would be 400k for me. Any truck would be time to replace by then. Or I would replace it anyway
If building a f150 or f250 exactly how you want and ordering it, any advantages or disadvantages on OTD pricing? I get ordering one allows you to spec it out exactly how you want it. But it seems the dealership would have more leverage over you price wise. They would know the truck was exactly what and how you wanted it. Seems like you'd have less bargaining power over just finding one on a lot that's been sitting there for awhile. Any thoughts on dealership's wiggle room on price when ordering a truck versus finding one on a lot? Thankyou
Deals are usually better off rhe lot. But you can still negotiate well when ordering. But incentives can change before the truck comes in. Usually best to buy off the lot if you can find what you want.
Almost bought one like that, but I went with my jeep gladiator Rubicon, which I’m gonna have to be married to cause I just bought a house in Arizona. I can no longer afford to keep buying trucks.🤣 That’s an awesome truck though and you get a lot for your money
Love the gladiator!
Check out the turn assist where it locks up one rear wheel.
Seen that. It's pretty cool.
A HD truck is so much stronger and more reliable than a half ton.....they build these for a completely different demographic.....have a 23 silverado 2500 HD and owned 3 half tons of new gen GM trucks....they arent even comparable
I doubt I would be taking a 3/4 ton offroad, they are big and heavy.....meant for hauling and towing.....down some fire roads or wide trails but not anything serious
buy the interior of a truck, the exterior is easy....Tremor pkg is a rip off, you can throw a lsd in the front and might not even need it....rest is labels, tires, electronic drive modes.....the winch is a good deal from factory
if your spending 70k whats a few more to get everything you want......be kicking yourself 6 months dtl.....
@kirkdunn1379 agree HD trucks are much better built. Since this video I found out ram offers a full power wagon package for the tradesman 2500. I would be buying that instead
Me. 2024 F450 I guess be 25..had order last week of November. I had 17. And. 20...y can't ford build my truck..frod u need read stop give. Wild willes all 450
V8 Tundra is my forever truck. Way more reliable than a Ford.
@@adamh3272 tundra is a great truck
Does the XLT trim still have analog speedo & tach? Ford's configurator doesn't show it! The digital bar graph gauges are horrendous!!!
Good question I don't know the answer too. But will check later this week when I hit the dealership for some other videos
@@Jason-Samko It would be great to see a video on the gauges for the XLT trim.
The bar graph gauges on the Lariet and above trim look rediculous and I can't see spending $90K on it!
I think the 2023 & older with the pure analog gauges were the best but it is nearly impossible to find a used Tremor anywhere!
@@LWRC Yep I hate digital gauges. Love analog.
@@Jason-Samko
I'm really hoping Ford still has those analog units on the XLT trim. I think that is a best value and most user friendly configuration with cloth seats!
I’d have to go with a Ram or GM variant haha
All good options
BINGO...!
Ram 2500 crew cab short bed 4x4 with gas engine.
@jerad4336 excellent choice
That short bed is just so damn short though 😕
I had a Ram 1500 with the "long bed" which is the same as the standard (short) bed on the heavy duties and I ran out of space and or didn't have enough length for what I was doing multiple times.
21 tundra trd pro
Excellent choice
