Even worse when the light emits less illumination than a $5.99 flashlight. I'm waiting for the time when a company decides to go with "make your own tool kit", a fixed price and you pick whatever tool you want.
Ryobi's battery has always been the same that's part of why i like them. New batteries will always work even with your old tools regardless of how long ago you bought them. They've stuck with the same battery style platform since they were new in 1996
My friends call me cheap, but I love Hart tools. Buddy of mine spends $300 plus on more expensive brands, and so far my Hart tools can do whatever his does.
I bought this tool because I had to do a little work with some door trim when I installed a prehung door and I made the trim out of pressure-treated deck board 1x6 with rounded edges. This thing cut through it like it wasn't even there and didn't even take two ticks off the battery. What an amazing saw!
Yeah I had to rip a cabinet, I own the Hart drill, impact, and oscillating tool. I had an older 20v Porter Cable Circular saw I tried using and it must've took it's last breath. It died. Wouldn't work, battery got hot. I threw it away, said screw it I have the Hart battery platform, so I bought the Circular saw tool only, got back to work, used it and DAMN! For a cordless saw.....holy crap! Plus that Kerf blade along with the power of the saw, I got done and said to myself "What wood?"

Hi Tool Boss, Interesting that everyone gives bad feed back on dewalt plastic bottom blade guard on their 6 1/2" circular saw. Will see how the feed back is going to be on this particular saw. I use the DeWalt 6 1/2" cordless circular saw and it works great. I dropped it a few times and the plastic bottom blade guard never cracked. Just wish they can come out with a new version (brushless, led light and hook). Thanks for this video review

I still like my craftsman tools but those hart tools have peeked my interest. Oddly enough the battery packs look just like my craftsman they are similar in size and clip in the same.
Does the flashlight have a screw/nail hook on the back of the handle like the Ryobi flashlight does? Good point about the battery shape. But Ryobi has been with the stem battery pack design for forever. Since they first came out. And Ryobi has said they won’t change the battery design. And so far they’ve been true to their word. I’m still using 13 year old blue Ryobi tools with the new hp batteries. That small thing of keeping that battery design has made me a fan of Ryobi for years and keeps me from switching platforms. If Walmart marketed hyper tough right and came up with some bigger batteries and a better drill. Hyper tough could have been a black and decker killer

I have several Porter Cable 20 volt lithium tools. I love the drill and the driver is a very good tool. But the circular saw lacks real power. Cutting 2x6s really strains the saw.
