- I just returned from Quakecon 2018 this week!
As you may know, content has been quite thing the past couple of weeks due to our immense travel. Doing Evolution 2018 for Injustice and Fighting EX Layer, then I flew out to Dallas to commentate Quakecon 2018 for Quake Champions.
While I was out there, I took the opportunity to record a full in-house reaction from the crowd. I was fortunate enough to be in the front row, giving you a clear view of what we, the crowd, were able to see.

How to draw a big reaction out of a crowd: Show them a huge energy sword at the very end of an adrenalin pumping gameplay display
I like to think of it as a Hellsaber.

@Rollz For Lolz 2 I know the crucible was an energy sword, I'm saying it's similar. In an interview hugo and marty actually said that the blade in this is not actually the crucible. The crucible is it's own thing and this is a different blade.

My favorite part was when everyone reacted to how the Marauder has a backstory explaining why he looks like the Slayer.

watching this a year later and they really kept their promises
Bethesda still got their crummy hands in this.
No deathmatch, main campaign with missing pieces on future paid dlc, and again, no mod support.
The team that made this is amazing. Their publisher/parent company SUCKS.

The main problem that i had was my Bethesda account disconecting whenever, but even that seems fixed now
I can't believe it's been 2 years, probably almost 3 years, since it's January 2021

that music man gave me jitters with the last game in this time it seems it wont dissapoint either. When I finished the last doom i was literally trembling from all the adrenaline it was glorious

When you watch the gameplay now, it’s so slow compared to what you can REALLY do
I know! The first and last gameplay, the person would be slaughtered in easy mode in the real game. Just casually walking up to mancubi NBD.
I think they maybe were a bit afraid to show the full picture after 2016's doom; I think if they had shown having to chainsaw a lot for ammo, quick switching, etc, people may have been surprised/a bit upset. Maybe they decided to switch things up after this reveal as well and make it more fast-paced like it launched

i think they were trying to show the new features. If it was normal speed some people would have missed it.
It is a showcase after all. If we were promoting something, of course we would want our target audience to know what we are promoting/showcasing, and let them experiment themselves after they get their hands on the product
Its so rare to see a company so in touch with their playerbase, especially after watching the devsreact for the games speedrun. Seems like such a wholesome fanbase honestly.
Quite ironic that the fanbase for the most agressive most brutal and most violence a video game can offer has the most wholesome community
Many of us have been playing doom since the 90s on old windows 95 pc's lol. We share a common bond in that we all grew up playing doom . We are all a brotherhood of doom slayers 🤘

Phobos was one of the most badass opening scenes I have ever seen in a game...and it was still the least badass thing in this trailer. I NEED THIS!

@@m1stern00by The game is completely badass, it's got it's own flaws but those thing can easily be avoided if u play the game in the right way. Graphics is awesome, performance is awesome (constant 144+ FPS at Ultra Nightmare Graphics preset) and finally the story, its literally out of the world!!! Not once you will feel bored while playing this game.

@@m1stern00by if you like fast paced action fps with lots of blood then yes, it's a must buy. Also at Nightmare difficulty it gets considerably hard, consider that if you are into hardcore stuff like Dark Souls/Blood Borne.

DOOM 2016's scope did not really turn it into a sniper rifle, it's just a scope for an assault rifle. You can only zoom and that's about it.
The best part? EVERYTHING thats in this trailer is in the game, and it looks even BETTER. Long live Doom

a game, i may actually pre order. That doesn't go lightly in a world of micro transactions, and other slimeball companies. And the last doom from what i played, was a blast.
I feel similar. I got my money out of Doom 2016, and Eternal is lookin' gooooood! However, in this world of digital downloads, there can't be a shortage of copies of Eternal. Nothing wrong with waiting a few days to see how things shake out.

Being able to experience this alongside the crowd must have made this a nearly spiritual experience. I only wish I could have gone.
I've beaten the whole game, and the DLCs, and I just watched the whole video like it was the first time. They really knocked it out of the park with this demonstration and more importantly- with the game. Easily the best FPS on the market right now.

big plot twist is, in-game you can actually even play faster than the trailer.
Super awesome watching this now after the success this game was. Actually got choked up during that reveal with the crowds reaction. Especially since it lived up to the hype and more
