Newer technologies need to be introduced otherwise it will be outdated by the time it takes to the air...
In doing so, they might think of developing warrior 3, 4....And more....And at last there will be nothing in hand.

AMCA will remain on paper, it will never see daylight. The way HAL, DRDO, ADA progressing, it seems by the time this technology is outdated then only we will be rolling out proto type. Similar to Rustom drones.
Ah yes, AMCA's engine requirement cannot even be met by leading jet engine manufacturers. As old as the tale of Indian procurement and indigenous development.
Yup, that sounds like a story they made up to waste time and then import the engine from the foreign manufacturer while claiming it was co-developed.
Actually not unusual since Fighters are built around engines designed specifically for those Fighters designed with attributes defined by Customer requirements that defines the required engine - but HAL just admitted there is no ongoing AMCA program because Fighter development cannot happen until after engine development - the reason XA100 and XA101 were begun at least a decade before 6G NGAD....

the difference between turkiye and india is that turkiye actually has prototypes flying while india has CGI Media up and running in the same time .
India should take the offer from France for co-developing a 130kN engine. We can learn from it, and we also will possess an engine which far surpasses the needs for the AMCA, possibly paving the way for future projects.
First France dont have engine and will take another 10 years to develop one
@@vaimurthy That's why I said "co-developing", not "buying" their engine. 10 years is an overstatement as well. India can settle for whichever engine they want for the short term, but the 130kN engine is far superior for the long term.

Co-development could just be a fancy buzzword they throw in for importing stuff already developed overseas and fooling people into thinking it's been co-developed.
What is the history of development of the craft at Adani? If it emerged out of nowhere, it's just an import.

So, HAL is indirectly saying that the AMCA will be delayed by an unknown number of years then. AMCA was in pipeline for a minimum of 10 years now and they only realized now that there isn't a tailor-made engine available for the project?!

First make and induct the CATS warrior in good numbers. Then after problems arise and you see where you need to improve, do the necessary r&d and design the second varient. Then release that. We always try to do everything ulta and fail and give some post-hoc rationalisation.

Why can't they plan for 150+ Kn Thrust producing engines ? Most of the 5th generation are producing more than 140+ kn thrust if we can outnumber the thrust too beyond 150+ will end up constructing a dominating beast in the air !

Procurement of S400 was the biggest mistake in the part of IAF. As IAF knows that Chinese were procuring S400, IAF should avoid it. Having similar equipment will enemy will make venerable : even a lay man can understand but IAF planners could not understand, very astonished. Also S400 is over hyped equipments : Ukraine war proved it, better go with western origin products.
