For a plane to roll out in July...they should have received engine atleast by March 2024 to assemble in the proto type. Just a reminder: HAL was supposed to deliver the 1st Mk1A fighter in February. This shows the problem India faces incase of a full blown war scenario where countries may withhold delivery of crucial components or delay them if indigenous alternatives are not there.

We should give order of 2 LHPD to Cochin shipyard and 2 LHPD to L&T with foreign colab. The colab one will be inducted faster and indegenous one will help us to develope such ship. One will cater for speedy induction and other will take time but will be indegenously built.

Please seek 800 to 1000 hp engine for stryker as the ladakh terrain is very rough uneven rocky full of big potholes and Chilled climate. Also the tires should be tubeless with very very strong bigger groves. Under no circumstances t72 incident should occur again where the tank is stuck. Any weakness should be covered here. Also a lesson for zorawar tank. Increase the horsepower if possible. Also for DRDO please invent something in which tanks can come out easily and shouldn't get stuck in water. Just like in trucks when the trucks get stuck in muddy snowy conditions there is a feature called AXLES LOCKED which enables trucks to come out of the uneven snowy muddy slippery conditions. Every incident accident is a lesson to be learnt and improvement s changes alterations kaizens are cure.

- How can a military grade be this much less for Rough Terrains? In India's case, Himalayan terrain!
IAF needs a glide and booster kit for its arsenal of dumb bombs like the Russian FAB bombs. They need to find a cheap way to boost the glide phase to get 100 kms+ standoff range so that a heavy transport can release one dozen of them at high altitude from far inland. In a war, GPS can be spoofed, jammed and scrambled so military needs to find out is it possible to get cheap manual/tv guidance. Kits should be CHEAP and we should have them by the THOUSANDS.
As a rough calculation Stryker if equipped with a 600 hp engine i.e. double the power will -for the same technology be 25% bulkier and heavier. This will require re-ngineering-if we at lall can do it. Round and roundthe mulberry bush seems about it. Then teh driveline will need the changes. It is along term project .Is any one thinking?

lol!! I commented yesterday video on Tejas MK1A delivery news that it might be delayed as no actual date was given by HAL. Now, it turns out my guess is correct.
Only HAL can give vague dates like "end of July" on 1st of July for an aircraft that is supposed to be in "testing" for the past couple of years instead of giving actual date(like 20th of July) when the aircraft will be delivered.
Wasn't there news few months ago that HAL already have some GE F404 Engines in stock and are working to procure engines for the additional orders?! So, how come the delay now is due to GE?!!
