Hey that’s me 😍😍😍
Also, I’ll try for 100 in 2022 if you want 😈
@@danielryjov please do
Crazy impressive!👍
@@danielryjov do it bro 💯 😁
Hey Daddy Daniel
You know you're a beast when your cardio involves a 100kg barbell 😂
on bench
Car... Dio... Sounds like Spanish
@@dimaknopf yep in spanish is also called cardio
I can do that, deadlift 😎
@@julianrenardy4398 I bet it is much harder to do with deadlift than bench press. Squat, bench or deadlift 80 reps with that weight is huge mount of reps! 😱 But I think there are only few people or none in whole world who can do 80x225lbs deadlift in row. 🤣 But I’m pretty sure you ain’t meant for real you can hit 80 reps in row with that weight. 😆 So this comment was nonesense..
his range of motion was actually insane considering how many reps he did. Massive respect
fr full range of motion and he has long arms
Yeah who is going to rep weight like that for that high of reps and lock out every single rep sounds like it would accomplish one thing and that is joint damage. I think its easier to lock out vs reps with full range right before you lock out and it keeps the tension on the muscles.
@@user-uk6uz6bx5p Its no different than doing push ups for high reps you do about 90% rom as full lockout is not possible for such an intense amrap set.
@@gravemind6536 agree 👍
@@gravemind6536 Yep I agree aswell, might start hurting in the joints trying to lock and could even be dangerous to do it so many times IMO.
There was once a time in this mans life that 225 was his 1 rep max. Wish there was video of that attempt as well.
Imagine trying to plug that into a 1RM calculator. “Error.”
The oldest video I have was my 405 PR. Never really filmed anything before then
@@danielryjov thank you for replying him you are a legend
Yeah, his first day in the gym lol
@@samdajellybeenie14 1RM for that is 374kg for those curious
When the best you can do with that weight is 2 reps this dude seems like a superhero
Only a handful of humans can do 40+. Probably 200 or so
@@MB2.0 200 people?
@@MB2.0 anyone with a 400 lb bench can do over 40 reps of 225 lmao nfl combine through out the years debunks your theory
@@Nobody-bq7pl No. The NFL combine record is 49. The NFL is filled with genetic freaks, so yes. 200 people is an accurate estimate, maybe 300 if I missed some strongmen PLs or BBs. Someone with a 405 bench would probably get around 20-30, but not 40
@@MB2.0 i can only do 30 at 18 rip
Grizzlies training partner the other day did 48 reps with 150kg. Wonder how many he could've done with only 102kg
150kg x 48 reps RPE 0 (warmup)
48 half reps
@@ashleigh3021 a majority of these reps were not fully locked out either 😁
@@ListeningKyle who cares? Even if they weren’t fully locked out, being able to do 48 reps with 150kg is still incredibly impressive
@@kris985 I don't lol I was just pointing out that none of these lifters are completing the reps
80 pretty clean reps tbh..
Ja mooie reps
Honestly yeah. There's ones you can say weren't full lockout but it is so much closer than a lot of other people do
Really solid range of motion on every rep. Not 100% locked out, but who gives a shit, this is 225x80.
fully locking out super fast reps with 100 kg is gonna be pretty stressful on the elbows anyways
@@tapwater424 Any heavy lift or large rep set is going to be stressful. You still need to strive for full lockout or it isn't a lift
That was nuts, and to the critics saying he didn’t lock out, that’s how you do a high rep bench set. More akin to bodybuilding style training where you just push the weight till the pecs more or less fully contract.
I don't think it's unimpressive for not locking out, it's still very impressive obviously. But for any sort of comparison it's useless, because their is no consistency between sets. The reason he didn't break his PR this time is probably because he had an even shorter range of motion on that set, not because he was any stronger. And you can't compare it with anyone else's 225 rep max because of this.
The reason people bring up the locking out is because the only place where a max rep 225 is a real thing is the NFL combine, where they do lock out the elbows. It doesn't really make sense to do these burn out 225 bench presses and compare to NFL combine records when your not following the same standards as the combine. Not saying this guy is claiming that, but it's often the case.
@@sparkee3729 I hear you, but no one is really making that comparison. I agree with you that he would not get nearly as many reps though if he did do a lockout. I know I wouldn’t be able to. With lockout I’d prob press for 8-10 without lockout around 12-15.
80 3/4 reps is 60 reps. 60 full reps is still impressive
anyone even bringing up the lack of lockout on an 80 rep set is just a clown that wants to complain. Oh my god, he didn't use the same tempo on all his reps either! gasp!
I don't even think I can push the bar alone for 80 reps 😂
He put my whole bench Workload in 1 Set …. Wow 💪🏼
Thats a big workload still
@@nothere5364 it’s with warmup 😅
@@danielnolte7086 still doing 80 reps over 225 is a beastly workout no matter how many sets or warmup sets you do.
Still Way more then What me and friends do
Its still impresive man
Nice humblebrag
His last rep was easier than my first rep with 225…
Had 5 goods reps left there and a maybe a couple of grinders too!
On a very high rep set the last rep will almost always will not look like a grinder. But in reality that's all you got. He maybe had 2 more reps.
Offensive lineman in NFL Combine who are doing 35 reps are considered very strong. This is a whole other level.
Drug factor snapperhead
@@wileecoyote5749 yeah because everyone in the nfl is natural 💀
Thats insane. My best with 2 plates is 25 reps on flat bench and one time did over 30 reps on a decline bench press but the range of motion was limited/more constant tension. If i got anywhere near half that amount at 40 reps id be over the moon.
Thats a good warmup set.
Your videos are awesome- and just the right length to time between sets!
I can do it too. It’ll take me 3 hours, but I’ll get er’ done.
I could do 5 before I ripped my rotator cuff 🤕
@Manfreski rotator cuff injuries are permanent as far as I know. They don't heal :(
I think I've done 80 total reps with 225 in my life.
Anyone complaining about him not locking out clearly missed the fact that he did 80 reps!!
I would rather see 50 quality reps than 80 half reps
@@ugot1try okay, then don't watch.
@@ugot1try close yo eyes then.
@@IsaacMorgan98 I clicked on a video that says "going for 80 reps" yea I'll watch that. If he properly named the video "going for 80 half reps" I wouldn't have clicked it. Don't blame me for the video being click bait
@@ugot1try how are these half reps are you blind or something?
I actually can’t do the bar that many times
Has Julius Maddox done this yet? I'd think he could do more than anyone
At his current size he’d probably gas out pretty quick
He probably does not train for such high reps
Won't have the endurance. I'd guess he could do maybe around 60
I'm surprised it's 'only 80ish' to be honest. The weights do have objective stress on the body after all, so it's understandable. This is approximately 33% of the guy's max. That for me would be 47kg or so, which I could basically rep out endlessly until the lactic acid destroyed my arms. Thing is, 100kg is objectively a heavy ass weight, even if you have a 300kg bench. The ratios don't carry over like they would at lighter weights, for the above reasons. I don't see anyone doing 100+ reps anytime soon, that would just be outrageous beyond anything.
Have you tried benching 47 for 100 reps though? Of course, it's a lactic acid thing.
The problem isn't what you think it is. Cellular respiration works differently at high reps, and your fast twitch fibres which you use for bench can't keep going very long because they use anaerobic respiration which is not sustainable for long periods of time
You're gonna have to do 47 for more than 80 and come back to us chief.
@@grey8557 Not sure what the weird callouy is about, I've said nothing to Daniel's detriment. Amazing accomplishment. I've done 60kg for 50 reps a few times, so 47 for 80 probably isn't too outrageous.
@@christopherroberts2500 Good. Now do 47 for 80. Let me know how it goes.
Jeff Magruder did 50+ reps with 315 back in the 80's. Would be lit to find a video of that feat
Reminds me of the video Larry Wheels sent out of him doing 315 for 44 reps. Crazy strength some people have.
@@ardeof larry also did a video of 500 for 20 reps
I mean it's decent I guess, but can he rep 855 on incline bench without wrist wraps like me? I also hit a deadlift PR last week while listening to Nickelback, a feat that modern science has told us was physically not possible. Pretty proud of that one.
I PR'd to Stayin' Alive so you can run and tell that, homeboy.
That channel name is hilarious
80 is the most ever done with 100kg. I think Eric Spoto has done 45 reps at 140kg.
Ive done 42 reps once but my max is only 200kg.
Still strong bro 😎
I think Fredrik Smulter have done 101x100kg! I'm pretty sure it is on youtube. He is retired IPF benchpresser, but he can still bench amazing numbers on his ig page.
the people who always complain about not locking out dont even know how much constant tension there is on the chest when doing the reps like that. He does not even need to fully lock them out, to get the benefits and to train the muscle properly.
That and the wear and tear you put on the elbow locking every rep out.
@@jackriki7501 Wow, had to right a comment here. Stop being stuck in fking 19th century. We already know that joints are only able to nurture and stay healthy when moved because of the diffusion and the synovia. Stop spreading this shit info that your body is a machine that wears down.
Nothing about this Set or video, but in general....Your elbow will wear and tear if you wont lockout your elbow. You are a biological system, not a machine that needs to oil itself, nature has provided a system that takes care of itself. How? By moving it.
do you even science. Locking out does not impede muscle growth neither hurts the joint. It makes it harder on long sets like this to lock out.
Impressive as hell, but you cannot change facts
While we're on the subject of joint wear a lot of arthritis is actually caused by bacteria. Interesting subject, I recommend looking into it if you haven't yet. Seems to be a trend of positive oral testing indicating upper body joints also affected and positive lower GI testing indicating lower body joints affected. Research wasn't 100% in favor of that correlation but there was a definite overarching trend.
Then why count
Wow! And I am beat up with lactate after a 60 rep down set. This guy is incredible!
dude said lactate lol. go get milked brah
@@germanrud9904 It is actually lactate. Read the literature.
That’s insane. For reference - the NFL combine all-time record is 49 repa
YEY, I GOT 205X2 AND SOON 225X1, LETS SEE WHATS ON THE INTERNET...
You got 225 soon bro
Will you get it, though 🤭
Thanks man, you literally forgot humanity with this lift
Amazing strength and endurance
He totalled my entire workout load
It may not have been full lockout, but his ROM is very very good, no exorcist back, and his back flat against the bench.
I see this man in "bench press kings" Facebook page all the time. He is super nice :)
Crazy Strength and Conditioning
I scrolled down to read some comments and went back up to see he is still benching fast lmao
"People are upset because he didn't lock out"
oh I'm sorry, can you bench 225 for 80 reps better than he can??
Yeah
damn imagine complaining about no lock out, thats some insane lifting
Everyone always has that same complaint on amrap sets and most of the idiots saying it can't even bench 225 for 1 and look like DYELs they are best ignored.
He should have a spotter on each side and just do reps until it falls and they catch it, this way he doesnt have to worry about putting the bar back and can keep pushing with no fear of it falling on him
Seems like the same rep height as Midwest Kong and the hulk. Although it would have to be an elbow wrap record
I can only do 20 reps with that, this man is a beast!
I cant remember exactly what my best was on this but it was in the 30 rep range . Doing 80 is nutz and so what if every rep is not completely locked out lol .
NFL combine players will who are fairly big will talk about doing it anywhere from 17-23
Tyler1 can do 30 reps same weight
@@Lappenvernichter do not doubt it thats kind of average strength for someone that has been working out long enough
Locking out actually provides little pockets of rest so this was arguably harder
I keep my depth with 225 to just an inch below lockout and I'm able to do 1,000 reps.
He looked like he could have done a hundred with some pause & grind at the end. Crazy

He took from who?
Me on my novice linear progression: 175x5
Him on his godhood linear progression: 225x80
So according to the 1RM calculator, 80 reps of 225 lb means the 1RM is 825 lb
1RM calculators are COMPLETELY useless when reps this high are involved
Wow! Such great genetics
What does that kind of burn even feel like?
Hell
Terrible 🤣🤣
Probably similar to doing 3 part bicep curls or chest flyes and such (yknow those 8x low-medium, 8x medium-high, 8x low-high sets)
Dude I don’t think I can do 80 reps of the bar goddamn
that would actually be tough
Maybe a smith machine
Correct me if I'm wrong (I'm not from the USA btw) but doing as many bench press repetitions is part of the NFL combine, so this is not really a nonsensical thing. I saw a couple of years ago some players benching 225 pounds for 20, 25 or 40 reps. Whit that said, this guy really did the impossible
My pb on 225 is 27 reps. Which in not sure of that's very good because Im 235lbs myself.
An auto spotter device can easily be made using infrared red device.
The best I ever got was 28 reps at 225 body weight.
mines too. I could beat it today. Back then I did skull crushers with 105 or so and 120 tcep push down. Today skull crusher is 195 and tcep push down 160 lb. 40 reps should be available.
i did 99 pushups once in one go lol tried to go for 100 and was literally seeing stars as i failed the last rep
Lol. That is my one rep max😂
did so many reps the spotter got tired of holding her arms out to catch the bar
This is insane, way more impressive than a 1 rep max.
Nah man how is that even possible I literally tried 1 plate for 20 rep’s and my triceps was burning chest too pumped it was uncomfortable to say the least
Man did my one rep like 1000x
The title of the video genuinely made me lol 🤣🤣🤣 thank you for that
That's almost twice the NFL combine bench press record as far as number of reps
i can do like 3-5 on that weight. idk if i could do 80 with just the bar lol thats nuts
For context, the NFL combine record is 49. This is an absolutely insane feat of strength
When I was in highschool I challenged everyone on the football team and weightlifting class talking trash since i was a runner that i couldnt lift to a max rep off with just the barbell. I knew its only 45lbs so all it came to was mind over pain. Needless to say I got 300reps the next closest was about 150...a valiant effort. MAN THAT SHIT BURNED.
Fredrik Smulter did more than Daniel and he is natty to!
This is like the average man benching 20 pounds
wtf this is insane strenght
My guy’s literally doing my current bench max for cardio….
what the hell, this guy is a machine. I will train to be that strong
1rpm is 375kg acording to 1rpm calc lol.
larry wheels can do 100+ reps ! lets hope he gives it a go
70 , not 100
Not me being happy I did one rep of that 😂
what a beast. my best with 102kg was 36 reps . touch n go
Two plates is 100 kg. Yanks calculate it out to 225 because they round up the 20 kilo plates and bar to be 45 pounds but it's not.
@@anaussie213 the blue plate is 45pound so 20.4kg. recalculate it again pal

I can barely bench the bar for like 60
This is cool but if you've ever touched weights the faster you go without stopping the easier it is 20 fast reps is like 10× easier than 10 controlled reps on the way up and down with a 1 second break at the top and bottom
This guy is a beast!
He's launching it
Imagine having the audacity to call him out on his lockout in a rep challenge when his pr bench is 650lbs, give or take. Some people man
Appreciate it bro
That was Insane
Not a single rep completed. Edit - No, he completes about 8 complete reps towards the end.

Meanwhile here I am struggling to bench 225
I cant do more than 30 regular pushups
100kg for 100 reps.

His face in the thumbnail says everything
Locking out is overrated, too much rest at the top when you lock out and stress on the elbows anyways. Him not locking is fine. I would prefer less chest bounce though.
But who am I talking my 1RM is 170lbs.
amazing any way you cut it.
