I wish The Game would’ve made a movie that went to theaters like Sex in the City did, and tied up all the loose end of the story lines even if they had to do a part 2. I knew when it came to BET it was going to go down hill unfortunately.
Thought I was the only one who felt the "I almost killed my son" part was a bigger issue. An airbag realease in that type of situation could kill a child small enough to sit on your lap. Also... crashing...
Yeah, the drunk driving was more of my concern, along with his toddler son. That's ridiculous and a sad excuse for letting that baby "steer the wheel!"
@@clifftoncrowder7775 💯I know...I was looking through the comments and thinking the same thing. Who cares about BET when this man almost killed his own child with reckless irresponsible dangerous behavior and decisions. I am not shocked with the way BET did Pooch. But, I am REALLY glad he did not allow that to limit him from going after his role on Ray Donovan. I know several men who watched that show faithfully, and even caught a few episodes of it myself. Ya'll classy for leaving out the fact that he admitted to being molested when he was young, but I'm going to mention it because i am always inspired by people who find the strength to move forward in their lives, despite enduring such trauma at an early age, and even more inspired by men who have the courage to admit. Definitely want to see him continue to win. Prayers up for him and his healing!!

BET is utterly embarrassing. Many stars film other films/shows while under contract. As long as you fulfill your obligations to me idc what you do in your free time as far as your other projects.
That's why Gabrielle Union sued them for breach of contract. They agreed to give her time to film other projects between Being Mary Jane seasons. Then they reneged and cut the breaks short to keep her from doing other projects. So she sued.
I am shocked how BET treated him. He was one of the stars of the show! He was a very good actor and I pray that he gets his addiction under control and his career. I wish him and his family the best.
The first 3 seasons are the best without a doubt but season 5 is very underrated. I feel like the series got back to its roots and was back to being funny. I was just so invested in season 5
The Game was our favorite show. So in short, because BET was long on negotiations to the point Pooch had to search for another gig, they spite him afterwards. When he and Melanie returned briefly to the show I knew something was wrong with him as far as drugs or food goes because he was wayyyy out of shape and had a huge belly and looked way aged in the face. I spot these things from a mile away. Hopes he's doing good though and managing his money properly.
I don’t know why everyone acts so shocked when they see these shows crash and burn and hear about the actors/actresses get black balled. The entertainment business isn’t for the weak that’s why it’s not for everybody. You always hear of actors say there was times they had to borrow money or fire their team because it costs alot. It’s not always because they’re bad at handling finances, they don’t get paid a lot or it’s hard getting good paying acting jobs. But he’s not innocent , he put his child in a very dangerous situation but Thank goodness him and his son wasn’t hurt best wishes to him!
I loved him on both shows! I definitely stopped watching the Game after Pooch and Tia left the show. I loved the family dynamic and antics that happened on Ray Donovan
it’s unfortunate what happen between Bet and him. But BET isn’t a full black owned televised network either, and he can bring his brand back with the right connection .
Honestly though I would've watched it with Melanie being a doctor and Derwin still playing football or maybe even switching roles where Derwin is a stay at home dad with the twins 😂
Staying committed to only 1 thing while you’re an up and coming (or even an established) artist can be career suicide. Acting in Hollywood is give and take because one moment you can be at the top of your game, and the next you’re struggling looking for a gig. It’s disrespectful for a network to do that to an actor if it is true. In Pooch’s case, he was going to continue loyalty to BET and even had a flex schedule in place, but they shunned him. Any other network would’ve been so happy and made him part of the family for that type of loyalty. I hope for the best for Hall on and off the screen. I loved The Game when it first came to the CW. It was funny, the writing was good, and above everything else they had the best casting. Each actor made their character come to life.
Every time RRG vids start my vegetarian butt’s like “stop tempting me with tales of jerky and candy RRG!😂”. Love this vid! The Game was legendary. I often think of Derwin’s tears when Malik and him plot to go to Vegas to get their women back. “I’m damn near in tears here and you over there surfing the web and whatnot”😂😂😂 I only stuck around BET when The Game’s original cast was on. Can’t say that the network’s kept my attention overtime though. RRG’s better than BET for the record. Your informative breakdowns, blunt yet compassionate humor is why I binge watch this channel, which is more than I could say about BET (and people pay for that with their cable bill).
What a catastrophe, I remember watching them on “the game” .then puff they disappeared. I’m glad this channel can tell you young folks like me about these ppl .
I’ve met Derwin a few years back& he’s very sweet & respectful. Everyone makes mistakes, happy to see he’s healthy & happy. BET has been known to treat their employees horribly unfortunately
I think it’s messed up how they treated Pooch because that in turn messed up Tia. She decided not to come back because her character was being reduced based off of Pooch booking a new role elsewhere, not knowing he was able to do both. Tia was like either I’m a regular or nothing at all.
IT IS ASHAME THAT he was treated that way and was possibly drinking due to depression and feelings of betrayal. In this world today we can never get too comfortable and trust everyone we meet especially in Helly-wood (Hollywood). But he is an excellent actor and I saw him on a movie on NETFLIX and again I was not disappointed he NAILED THE ROLE!
Whether Pooch Hall would have done that movie Donovan / Ray Donovan what is called or not BET, others/ networks still could have done him wrong!!!!!/ Have an back - up plan (s) just my own personal opinions, some things is not always in the bag/ guaranteed !!!!!/ etc.....
This isn't gossip! This is Hollywood's Life Investigative Reporting lol....You always stay true to the headline (no clickbait) and answer (with facts) the what, when, why and how...as the events happened. Thank you!
BET killed my favorite show by being selfish. It wouldn’t have been as good without Melanie but it was still watchable. Without Pooch, they killed it. All the other actors were good and adding Brandy was good, but Pooch, they needed. It saddens me when networks make decisions like this. He could have done both shows easily but BET is not a game player and didn’t want to see Pooch grow. Sad.
BET has become such a slum network ever since the company was sold to Viacom. The shows have no sustenance, black exploitation, and the award show looks so cheap and thrown together.
I feel like I never knew this existed until BET. This show was a huge part of my childhood along with Girlfriends and Half & Half. Thanks for the gems I always learn something when I click your videos.
A word of wisdom: Do not put your child in jeopardy at the steering wheel of a car while you give drunk driving instruction it’s not going to come out well.
I am not surprised at what BET did. It wasn’t the first and it won’t be the last. They tend to be a bit hypocritical. They want the type of loyalty that they are not willing to show. Then they’re just like everyone else in Hollywood; “it’s just business”. Other actors & actresses have recounted similar experiences with that network. It’s so sad and disappointing. They demand your loyalty but kick you to curb if you’re not as “profitable” as you used to be.
Back in the day my girlfriend at the time got me into this show. I thought it was corny but slowly got me hooked on this show and girlfriends. Although we're not together anymore I always thanked her for introducing me to this show 😁

@@Lexx1192 BET was sold in the early 2000s. But it very well could've been someone Black who did whatever he's referring to. This belief that Black ppl will necessarily do one better is harmful as well and recuses ppl who have done harm of accountability.

First, I'm glad he and his son are still with us. Second, I like the way he handled his career (he has a good team) by not being bitter at BET. Lastly, he is still fine.
Very shocked how BET treated him!! You just never know what's going on in people's lives famous or not...

It’s crazy because they had no problem with Colby Bell also doing Burn Notice on USA network at same time
Loved watching him in BOTH the Game and Ray Donovan. He is a good actor.
I wish The Game would’ve made a movie that went to theaters like Sex in the City did, and tied up all the loose end of the story lines even if they had to do a part 2. I knew when it came to BET it was going to go down hill unfortunately.
Hmmm that’s a great idea. I really hope they do it.
They need to do a movie for Girlfriends first. The Game, is a spinoff of the show. Joan and Melanie are cousins.
Great idea! It's still not too late, IF they're treated right.
I can't believe he put his child in danger like that 😭😔 thank goodness they were okay
yeah um im like youre drunk but still there was nothing saying "a toddler shouldnt steer while you just chill and do peddle duty"????!!!!!!!
After I heard that part of the story nothing else regarding his career woes even mattered to me. 🤨
Thank goodness he didn't fall asleep at the wheel, should've had a designated driver or called Uber.
Wasnt that his co worker - the guy who played Malik on the game , Hosea Chanchez ,who said he was molested as a child. I don’t think that was Pooch.
@@itsbritt9155 yep
You’re talking about the wrong actor. That was Hosea Sanchez who was molested.
I think you're talking about Malik.
That was Malik...not Derwin(Pooch Hall)
He’s lucky blessed to have escaped prison. That mess was soooo dangerous. I remember when it hit the news. He was stressed out, tampering w/how he takes care of his family. All those kids, 1 is special needs. Add wondering if you can pay the rent or mortgage. Brutha fell down, hope he’s well & doing better.
The Game was never the same after Pooch left and Derwin and Melanie were the couple everyone loved and honestly started the show itself so when he left the show went down too there’s no “The Game” without them two
I can't get past what he did to his son. He put his own baby in danger. I can't help but feel if this were a woman doing the same thing (Britney Spears) he would get dragged a little more.
😔
So you’re not human? Y’all disturb me on the internet. The real concern is has his mental health improved? Is the relationship with his son currently healthier?

BET is utterly embarrassing. Many stars film other films/shows while under contract.
As long as you fulfill your obligations to me idc what you do in your free time as far as your other projects.
That's why Gabrielle Union sued them for breach of contract. They agreed to give her time to film other projects between Being Mary Jane seasons. Then they reneged and cut the breaks short to keep her from doing other projects. So she sued.

That's fine everyone go through stuff we still love Pooch Hall a.ka Darwin Davis. As Pooch always said let's pray about it 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Can't be surprised how petty and shortsighted BET is. It's no wonder why their shows are generally seen as sub par when compared to most network tv
He’s a very talented actor. I loved him on Ray Donavon. I hope that he prospers in these new chapters of his life.
I actually liked him since “the game”. I had no idea Bet did him dirty on that. Shame of Bet.👎🏽 I wished he get more better work and stay healthy.
The first 3 seasons are the best without a doubt but season 5 is very underrated. I feel like the series got back to its roots and was back to being funny. I was just so invested in season 5
I had a huge crush on him. I follow him on IG & wondered why he wasn't on many shows after the game which sucks because he is an amazing actor.

This show was the BEST. The very first seasons…not when they made the change. I could watch it all day. I gotta find the old episodes.❤✨
Derwin and Melanie is the entire show trust me
The Game was our favorite show.
Am not shocked!!!!/ mother f......!!!!!
Not Poochie Pooch getting so drunk that he literally tried having "baby Jesus take the wheel." 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️

I loved him on both shows! I definitely stopped watching the Game after Pooch and Tia left the show. I loved the family dynamic and antics that happened on Ray Donovan
I JUST noticed Pooch played on Bluehill Ave as a teenage kid. Seen the movie several times and just noticed 😮
it’s unfortunate what happen between Bet and him. But BET isn’t a full black owned televised network either, and he can bring his brand back with the right connection .
BET used to be black owned from when they were in Washington DC

Honestly though I would've watched it with Melanie being a doctor and Derwin still playing football or maybe even switching roles where Derwin is a stay at home dad with the twins 😂
I clicked so fast 🏃🏽♀️🏃🏽♀️🏃🏽♀️ always wondered why he's career didn't take off.
Pooch and Tia need to do a show on their own I promise it’s gone sell
Every time RRG vids start my vegetarian butt’s like “stop tempting me with tales of jerky and candy RRG!😂”. Love this vid! The Game was legendary. I often think of Derwin’s tears when Malik and him plot to go to Vegas to get their women back. “I’m damn near in tears here and you over there surfing the web and whatnot”😂😂😂
I only stuck around BET when The Game’s original cast was on.

He is so so blessed! His situation could’ve turned out much differently!
I think it’s messed up how they treated Pooch because that in turn messed up Tia. She decided not to come back because her character was being reduced based off of Pooch booking a new role elsewhere, not knowing he was able to do both. Tia was like either I’m a regular or nothing at all.
The fact that he went back years later to BET shows he didn’t care how he was treated.
He had no beef with the show. It was the network that was playing dirty.
Or maybe it showed he was the bigger person and wanted to please his fans

In life loyalty is very rare cause people often don't care about what's in your best interest
“Bad” things happen for a reason…the Universe sent him exactly what he needed…❤️
Hello ,how are you doing ?

Notification gang! I miss The Game and BET did Pooch Hall dirty smh. Wow! Pooch was drinking like that??
Loveee your soothing voice!
Sad.
I met him a few years back when he came to Charlotte NC for CIAA. He’s a pretty cool guy. I send positive energy to this brotha.
