- **Please note, I no longer use and cannot recommend Dixie Belle Paint products due to highly questionable business practices, contract violations, and unethical treatment of artists and retailers that led to mine and numerous others resignations in late 2021. Please see the links below for more information. I have chosen to leave this video content up for learning purposes only, but highly recommend considering other products when trying to achieve these same techniques. There are too many good product brands on the market to support a brand with these practices. I've included links to my most used options below

Brandy, you are an AMAZING teacher and I love your big heart, your style, and your channel. I have learned so much from you and now you've inspired me to take a chance on redoing my bedroom furniture. I couldn't have gotten enough confidence in order to even come to this point without your awesome instructions! If you offer a formal class, I'll be signing up! THANK YOU for all you do. YOU ARE SO APPRECIATED!!!!
Thanks so much for the kind words Marie!! you just made my day :)
Marie have you re done your bedroom suit? If so, I would love to see the before and after pics!!!!
Every time you do a new video, I get a new favorite piece that you’ve done! This is dreamy!
Thank you!
Absolutely gorgeous!! I love this transfer and have been waiting to see it used and of course you hit it out of the ballpark!💜
Love the layers you put into a piece. Truly an artist!!
The layers always make the look
Even the crickets were chirping for this one of a kind masterpiece. Oh, love the "mic drop"!!
They are my nighttime painting company
The cricket sounded like it was in my room, I paused the video twice, till I realized it wasn’t!😂
OMG you make that look easy, but obviously it's not. So beautiful. I didn't really understand what the white around the edges was all about, I would have ended up cutting that right out of the decal, but you certainly made it all work so beautifully
Thanks for the video Brandy! The piece is absolutely adorable!
Was the perfect size
Gorgeous piece! I love that transfer and how you incorporated the paint surrounding it. Perfection ❤️ Makes me want to work more with transfers and you explain and demonstrate your techniques so well.
so glad it's helpful! Blending it in really gives it a hand-painted look😍
Wow!! Beautiful,! And thank you for the cloud painting (on the top) tutorial on the top as well!
You are so welcome!
Oops spoke too soon. There ya go! Gorgeous!
Perfection! Such a talent.
Hi Brandy. Very nice job! You worked out on this piece.💐
Such a beautiful piece and excellent video!
Love it. Very beautiful
Lovely!
Fantastic tutorial as always! ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you!
That's fabulous. You are a very talented lady.
Thank you!!!
I loved it its so pretty 😍 💗 love the flower applique just gorgeous ty 4sharing 🥰😇😇
You did a fabulous job on the top too!
It's a darn close match!
@@BrushedbyBrandy it’s a painting!
@@BrushedbyBrandy I know artists who paint clouds on canvas- this was fantastic snd it looked like it came so naturally to you! Bravo!
Absolutely beautiful! Thank you for sharing! ❤️
Love your artistic talent ❤
Dixie Belle should sell kits with small amounts of each of color of paint for each transfer. This one has so many colors I would not normally ever use. But I love the look! (The cost would just really add up for someone who doesn’t stock every color of Dixie Belle.) I AM going to do this someday however. You gave me a great Idea when you mentioned a cedar (Hope) chest. I have been wanting to re-do mine. My mom hand painted mine before I was married. As sweet as it is, it sits in storage, because neither my husband or I want it out. 🙄. It has a HUGE heart on it. (What were we thinking??? It was the 90’s! Haha 😂) . This however, I would never get tired of. Your work is incredible as always.
Thank you so much. I hear you on the heart decor 😂. Dixie belle did just start offering inspiration kits that include products for a certain look and tutorial on how to put them together, kinda similar idea

It is really gorgeous! You always rock lady !
Love, love, love!!!
Beautiful!
Beautifully blended Brandy! Do you love my alliteration? It just rolls off the tongue 😉 I bet you get that all the time. It doesn't change the fact that you are brilliant! 😊❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
So beautiful ❤️❤️
Beautiful 😍
Brandy, this is GORGEOUS!!!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I have 2 of this transfer, intending to use at the bottom of a tall armoire with smooth doors. I have been debating what color to do the body. I am not talented enough to do clouds all the way up but now I think I can blend it into fluff, and use fluff for the sides. I might even buy another transfer and try to do the bottom of the sides to match. Thank you for always sharing colors.
Could definitely do fluff, the clouds were surprisingly easy too
@@BrushedbyBrandy Ha! You make it all look easy.
love it
Unbelievable 😊❤😊
Beautiful…❤❤❤
Thank you! 😊
B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L !!!!
BEAUTIFUL, LOVE THE STAGING TOO. DO YOU EVER SELL THEE STAGING PEICES TOO. ??
Some are from own home, others I might consider. These arches I love too much
I'm watching one video after another of yours and learning so much! I don't redo furniture, I do mostly smalls as I'm disabled and big pieces are just too much for me. However, the rules apply across the board and the techniques that you use have taught me a ton! Is the Kilz bonding and stain blocking primer basically the same thing as what you used? That's what I have on hand and want to redo a picnic basket. Should I use that or shellac for bleed through? Lastly, what would you do to remedy your mistake if your razor knife slips when you're cutting and you cut a place you didn't intend to? Absolutely love this by the way ❤❤❤❤
Thank you! So glad they are helpful, there's a ton on here to keep you busy, lol. This is an older video, I no longer use or recommend Dixie Belle products, their gripping primer is kilz adhesion primer repackaged. I've been using Wise owl primer because it's stain blocking and gripping in one. You're exactly right that the techniques translate to any project! If you must cut a transfer you can always piece it belavk together with a seam to hide the cut or paint in any mistakes to match, and once sealed you'll never know
Great video! I have watch some of your other videos and loved them. I am about to do my first project and was wondering how to pick the color to paint the furniture in general. Is there a rule of thumb? TIA for anyone who can help! LOL I am free styling!

Hi Brandy, should one use BOSS grey if the furniture is dark or does it matter? Not sure difference between different colors of BOSS. I have dark pieces of furniture so should I use BOSS white? Thank you! Again, I love this piece! 😍
The beginning f the video ran backwards 🤣😂😜😂🤣😂😜🤣
Hi Brandy congrats it is wonderful 😍. I have a question :did you paint some particular of the poppies and of the field? Or did you only remark them ? I 'm sorry if I wrote some mistakes 😔
The poppies were from a transfer - I painted the dresser to blend with the background of the poppies so the whole piece had a cohesive look😉
you are bob ross version of furniture painting
Haha, I'll take it, thank you!
I thought that you had painted the clouds and the top portion
I don’t understand the part where you putt boss on and close the draw right away ?
Is it not gonna stick together ?
There was no contact around the frame, depends in how tightly the drawers fit
I used boss then silk as my base, now I want a little yellow, can I put little yellow color mix with silk paint?
You can mix silk colors with each other, but not with the chalk mineral paint, they are different formulations
@@BrushedbyBrandy Thank you very much to answer my questions. You are so professional every single piece you painted is so gorgeous . You are the real artist!!!
@@weisilvestri7039 awww, thank you for that! You are most welcome ☺
Brandy, I am not a natural, instinctive artist like you are. I just used this very same transfer 2 weeks ago and it was a DISASTER. The shades of colors from the 4 quarters did NOT match and where I overlapped the transfers, the under color showed....
I am sorry, but this transfer is only good for the artists like you are.
Maybe if you had done this before I did mine, mine would have come out better.
It's good enough, but not perfect like yours.
thank you.
It definitely takes time and learning. Try trimming the edges when seaming 2 pieces together, definitely helps reduce the visibility
@@BrushedbyBrandy Thank you. I wish I had seen your video before I undertook this project. It was my second time working with transfers and I missed a lot of pointers.
I slowed down to the max when you were painting the top of this cabinet and then blending the clouds because I do not know how to do this stuff. I need to see this super slowly. and be told exactly what paints to use. At this point in my life, none of this stuff is intuitive.
by the way, I sent the link to this video to Alicia who sells this transfer on Etsy. So your fame can spread out.
Your piece turned out beautifully!
Thank you.
