Hi there. I have been trying to purchase a kit for several days. I don't use PayPal. It SAYS I can pay with a credit card, but there's no option to do that. HELP!!!
@@WeddingOfficiantTraceyJensen Thanks! You just click the PayPal link and it will take you to where you can enter credit info instead.
Really? So dang weird! It's not. It's taking me right to PayPal
Got it! Yay! Any idea how long thr first class shipping takes to Utah?
Will these be available again soon?
I love this! I also want to tell you, I love how you top dot, your videos have taught me so much and the most important thing is relax and have fun. You are such a talented artist.
About 25 years ago we started a tradition of painting ceramic ornaments, usually on the 23rd of December, when my cousins, aunt's, and uncles on my mother's side get together for Christmas. Until my mid-twenties, painting an ornament was a chore, which I quickly completed without any fuss, but just to appease my mom. It was always a race between us kids to grab the easiest blank ornament (like a flat Candy Cane or Stocking) that required little to no detail. Personally, I'd paint one side only, initial and date the back, and place it in the "to be fired" box. However, in recent years I have put more effort into my ornaments. I show up with a plan and take pride in the finished product. I must say, as annoying as it was when I was a teenager, these days I get excited to see how last year's ornaments will turn out glazed and fired. Thanks mom for starting that tradition and compelling us to participate every year, even if it meant holding our gifts hostage until everyone finished painting their ornament.
So that was the long way to say, I plan to paint the design from this video on my ornament this year.
Who in the world would thumbs down this? Keep going on girl!
I know right? Trolls just doing what they do.
Do you have to spray a costing to protect the paint for handling?
I received my kit today. All of the paints had leaked completely out of the pots. I'm not sure how you packaged them, but probably want to get a more travel-friendly form of packaging.
Oh no! We will have to work that out! Thank you for letting us know. Please email us at dottymandolly@gmail.com and we will send you extras!
I sent an email with my address Thank You!!!
This is a great tutorial, thanks. I practice on a tile, easy cleanup! I use the tile as a paint palette too!
Great ornament project. I love that you have them packaged too! These would be a great idea for a wine and sip zoom kind of class!
This is beautiful. I do some decorative painting as well. It's my therapy. 😁
Thank you so much! I've been wanting to try mandelas...this will be how I hope to learn.
Beautiful mandala art very nice good job love you mam🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
Pit more videos soon pls
This is so cool. Love the effect. A really nice red too.
I love this. Glad you’re able to help others who find it difficult to get paint. I have never seen flattened ornaments. Those are really neat.
Micheals in Canada has them . I ordered accidentally but like them.
Very beautiful decoration piece.
Love all ur wrks..😍😍👍🏻👍🏻
Lovely ornament! Thank you for sharing! I have a question. I make dot ornaments myself and was wondering what (if anything) you use to seal them to protect the paint. Thank you SO much for all your videos!
Thx for your videos. Just a pause between the rest of my program. Love your Dot Mandalas..
Hermoso Felicitaciones infinitas bendiciones 🙏😊❤️ saludos desde Quito Ecuador ❤️🇪🇨
Hello and I love your work
Was wondering what kind/brand of paint you recommend for plastic ornaments and glass ware???
Love from northern Missouri
I used folkart multi surface paint with liquitex pouring medium, about half and half. It coated really well and looked great. When I woke up this morning all the paint had fallen out of the ornament. What did I do wrong? Just wondering if you know
Hi Lydia,
Its Anne Marie again, I can not find the dot art kits. You mentioned you have a few lefts. What am I doing wrong.
I wonder if you can help me with this a few months ago I braved up the courage to ask Rachel's rocks but she ignored me. I'm really hoping you can help. I used to be into pebble painting bad Depoucage until I noticed white paint turns yellow in the sun. How can you get white pebble paint without it going yellow? Also what varnish is best to use cus that can make the paint turn yellow too.
How can tell the size of the rods. I have the crochet hooks. Thank you
Same question. She says use the pink one, but not sure what size that is.
@@WeddingOfficiantTraceyJensen I don't either .
Do you still have this kit available on your website? I tried to find it but couldn’t. Thanks! 😊
Hiiiiiiii!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Awesome! Love your work! 👍👍👍
Wow beautiful I did subs I am waiting?

Always love your work lydia...thanks for your tips🙏
I DID LOVE IT, IT HAS INSPIRED ME TO MAKE SOME ORNAMENTS IN 2023
Will this kit be available again?
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
These are beautiful ornaments. Thank you so much!
Where do I find a 6 slice stencil?
Beautiful Lydia.. So brilliant
Thank you Lydia! This is just what I needed today. You are the sweetest and I love you!!!💜💜
Love you Karen!! I'm so glad you enjoyed it!
It’s like Pysanki Eggs
I find it practically impossible to get an ornament to dry when I coat the inside with paint or an adhesive! But maybe that's because I am in an area with 100% humidity nearly year round? Please share tips for drying if you have any! Beautiful snowflake, Lydia. Happy Holidays.
I leave the springy cap off and just set it on my desk to dry. I will rotate it to the other side each day and leave it there for a few days. It could be your climate. A warmer, dry place to kind of set and forget them, is best.
Maybe a hair dryer for the last stubborn bits that won't dry?
Went to your site. Your out of stock on a lot of things. Maybe after the New Year you will be stocked. I'll keep checking back. LOVE all your videos.
Thank you so much! I'm moving soon so just not restocking for a few. Definitely restocking though once I'm settled. 🙂🎨❤
En cantada con tu trabajo. Very goo
Lydia are you going to more snowflake ornament kits available soon? I would like to have 4 kits if possible. We want to do a zoom wine and paint class with there. You should join us and have fun!!!!
Yes! They have been restocked. Thank you!!
I have tried to coat a plastic bauble before and it dried blotchi. Does the multisurface dry even? I love this baoble. Will try one soon.
You need to rorate them each day until dry and make sure all sides are coated. If they sit in one position, the paint will run away from the highest side leaving it looking kind of cracked. When you see that, rotate it and tap the paint back in place and leave it in that position for a while. Mine dried and was fully coated after a couple of days of rotating it that way. I hope that helps! ✌😊🎨💕
beautiful 😍
You make that look so easy!! I've finally got the nerve to start practicing, and its HARD! THANKS FOR THD TUTORIAL! They look beautiful. Maybe by next Christmas ill be good enough for gifts . Happy Holidays!
This is so relaxing!!!!
Beautiful ❤❤❤
Love it.
This is beautiful!!
Its really nice that you set up the kits. Paint inventory has been a real issue in my area CT. With AC Moore gone in my area, I figured Michaels and Hobby Lobby would have some of the surplus paint, I imagine the manufacturers would want to replace that hole in business but nooo it's crazy how little paint there is at my local stores. The workers keep telling me it sells as fast as it goes up on the shelves due to COVID everyone is becoming an artist. I even went to Blick and they had a bunch of heavy bodied acrylic paint but not alot of craft paint. Although Ocean State Job Lot has paint I love and their stock seems pretty good for now but their colors are a bit limited. I feel like I need to be a paint hoarder. Although I have been told that I have enough paint to last 10 lifetimes. LOL :)
Plz show your all colours with their name.

Love this, simple but elegant :)
how do I irder from you?
Hi! www.DotArtDepot.com 🎨❤🙏 Thank you!
Hi Lydia, I have a question that is not really related to this project but I need help as I am a beginner at dot painting. The thing I am having trouble with is doing larger dots, my small dots are looking ok even though they have that little nodule in the middle they usually flatten out and even if they don't, I don't mind but my larger dots don't have that little nodule, they have like a whole pattern going on within the dot. What am I doing wrong? Please help me Lydia.
You're likely pressing down too hard. You don't want the tool to touch the canvas. Just push until you can see paint start to come out from under the tool and lift. Also, feel free to re-dip and re-dot. Have you watched my beginners guide? I have a whole beginners playlist you could watch to help. Have FUN 💕
Thank you so much for replying so quickly Lydia, I will go ahead and do as you said and hopefully I will have success. Bye the way you are a legend painter.
@@joannemorier6406 😊🙏💗
Is the ornament made of plastic please?
Yes.
@@LydiaMay thanks. So of acrylic paint is used multisurface it is ok?
Everything is out of stock 😢.
We'll be stocking up tomorrow! Thank you so much. 🙏💗
Yes😂
Love the Ornament painting for Christmas! any chance you will be painting Easter eggs this spring? I'd love a basket full of dotted Eggs on my table for Easter Sunday!
I want to try to replicate a 'jeweled' egg but dot paint instead of beads/tiny jewels
Oh Lydia my darling, this is beautiful and you are so so talented. Always exciting us with amazing projects and products. You are a genius. I never knew you can paint inside the way you did. Brilliant, love it and looking forward to seeing you at midnight tomorrow 😘❤😍🥰😍🥰😍🥰

Thank you so much for another great tutorial. I may try this design on the wood circles I have if that’s ok.
Absolutely! I'd love to see what you create! Tag me on social media so I can see. 😍🎨💗💗💗
Stunning
Thank you! 😊
Oh my gosh as soon as I saw this I jumped in my car and headed to Michaels for those ornaments. ❤❤❤
😁🙌 Have so much fun!
Love thank you Much 💜
How is your extreme sheen not so thick it's leaving a tail? I threw all mine out. They were too hard to work with.
Oh, bummer! I'm not sure. I gave it a really good stir with a popsicle stick and that helped a bunch.
Love your art❤️
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻Mind blowing! 💖💕
Very beautiful ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Wonderful work 👍 👍
I love it. What a great idea. Do you ship kit to Canada ?
Yes, worldwide. 🌍🌎🌏💕
I got my kit today and I'm going to start the project tomorrow, yay! I just wanted to tell you that even though the little paint pot lids seemed tight they all leaked paint all over the bag. It was kind of a mess. I don't know if it's happened to anyone else but thought you'd want to know. Seems like I still have plenty 😊
Oh no! Email us at dottymandolly@gmail.com
I appreciate you letting me know. I may have to tweak a few things.
Stupende 🤩
Loved it
