Mustang all the way. I love telecasters but they are very uncomfortable to play and sound worse for me that either a strat or mustang

The Tele sounds way better to me for cleans and crunchs. They both sounds nearly the same in high gain territory. But I am a mustang owner because I just feel more confortable with short scale offset guitars.

Good video.
The tele wins it for me in the sound department.
The game is not completely fair though as the guitar comes with with 9-42 strings same as the tele.
I'm not at all in the macho thing, big strings are always better, etc. I played for a while in 8-38, now strings do change feel and sound.
10-46 feels almost identical as 9-42 do on a 25.5" scale length, 9-42 is too loose for most players.
I enjoy 24" scale length and the mustang can be modded into anything, so I would choose the mustang too.

Great playing and comparison. Both guitars sound and look very nice for the price. To me, the neck and middle positions sound brighter on the Mustang, but the bridge position has a more muffled, mid-range sound. The tele has the distinctive telecaster twang in the bridge position. Both guitars sound good though.

I have the mustang is that colour and I love it, looking into tinting the neck with amber nitro and add a classic vibe squire decal and that’s it! Love the neck

Neck pick up and both pick ups sound better on tele but bridge pick up and distortion sound better on mustant
