Two of the most epic metal guitarists ever playing together with Lars Ulrich and Ron McGoveney.
Young Hetfield! this is gold, I love Dave \m/
Just imagine Dave and James writing the future Metallica albums............. Well I could dream can't I.
I don't think it could possibly have turned out any better than what we got. We got 2 great bands with amazing material.
@@WatchingSomeUA-camVideos exactly, Metallica with songs like trapped under ice, master of puppets, and one. megadeath with wake up dead, symphony of destruction, peace sells etc etc there Both phenomenal bands
The solos from here are written by Mustaine, right?
but from the version final of kill em all are from Kirk?
+TheMaverick13 the solos on Kill Em All, although played by kirk are pretty much the same solos that Dave and James wrote for the demos
The only thing kirk did with the final version of Kill Em All is change the solos.
James didn't write solos on this album. Dave was and still is quite capable of figuring out his own solos.
i think the solo in Hit the Lights is play by Lloyd Grant tho
Crazy how distinct james and daves rhythm guitars are on this. Both sound great.
dem guitar solos
a lot of fire in those solos
heavenhelp1982 Someone should jump into it
Haha, yeah...down in the depths of my fiery home :P
Those Hit the Lights guitar parts are still the most kick ass riffs to hear starting an album. Man those guys could come up with some amazing riffs and harmony parts. Few bands have 1-2 memorable riffs like that and Metallica probably has 50.
John Melton Agreed. They get a lot of hate these days but Metallica did give the world at least 4 (arguably, 5) great albums, all with memorable riffs on them. Learning to play each of those songs helped improve me as a guitarist and I'm eternally grateful to that band
the amount of people who thought this was Dave singing truly astonishes me, it is very clearly James singing especially on seek and destroy
Ikr it’s James but he was trying to sing like the singer from diamond head. They were big influences and they did many diamond head covers
Dave sings on this too. It's very apparent when it's him.
I must say i prefer Mustaine's solo in Hit the lights over Kirk's, but overall they're both pretty good
13:07 no "Alright" :(
Ya know what I noticed, the pick scrape at the beginning of No Life ‘Til Leather, ( what would be Hit The Lights) goes from LEFT to RIGHT. In Kill ‘Em All, on Hit The Lights, it goes from RIGHT to LEFT.
First thrash metal album. I think this is more than a demo.
Yeah indeed
man i love daves playing still great
Here where all begins!!
Wow , verdammt gutes Demo ! Yeah , it's great !!!
Ron McGovney rocks!!!!
Essa versão de Seek & Destroy é incrível.
Yes it is
🤘Big one🤘
Metallica became the equivalent of McDonald's, everybody likes Mcdonald's but most have another particular favorite fast food place. I love Metallica but Megadeth was it for me man back in the day. (I used the food reference because Im tubby, what? 😂)
Awesome! And likewise, Metallica was the first thrash band I heard For whom the bell tolls. But Magedeth Peace Sells was my fav!
i was a metallica #1 fan until i discovered megadeth
At 24:16 "Now I take off my pants?"
Randal Emmert yes, the lyrics were originally sexual
1 - 00:00 - Hit the lights
2 - 4:23 - The Mechanix
3 - 8:58 - Motorbreath
4 -12:23 - Seek And Destroy
5 - 17:20 - Metal Militia
6 - 22:42 - Jump In The Fire
7 - 26:36 - Phantom Lord
8 - 30:15 - Killing Time
9 - 32:53 - Let It Lose
your welcome! ;)
It’s crazy how James’ voice evolved over the years…….
Damn Hetfield sounds glam here. Thank god his voice matured XD
No Life ‘Till Leather was really good!!! Even though James sounded like a boy going through puberty and sucked in some helium but eh oh well. He sang like Sean Harris from 81 to 82. Thankfully in late 1982 when they started the Kill ‘Em All album he found his voice.
The best Metallica album
+Bjarke Andersen nope master of puppets
IMO Best musically was Justice. Best sounding/mixed was without a doubt Black album.
Bjarke Andersen if they made an album with the guitar tone of Ride the lightning, The drums of ...And Justice For All, the vocals of Master Of Puppets, and the type of faster paced riffs such as the ones in kill em all with a couple of heavier ones here and there for variation like The Thing That Should Not Be, in my opinion that would be their best album ever
James Hetfield make it happen there fella!!! oh & make sure y'all have enough cowbell
Best album Mustaine was a part of
James Dave Cliff & Lars would be the best line up in history
Even tho this is just a demo this is my favorite Metallica album, the Guitar tone is warm if that makes sense, the vocals are like NWOBHM and Dave's solos are just amazing
I totally agree
